Santa Mozzarella took over an old pizza shop and transformed it into something classy and quaint, perfect for an intimate date night or a great spot to bring the whole family for a really good meal. I have been here about three times in the last few months and every visit gets better. The meatballs are by far my favorite. Made with veal, ground beef and sausage and topped with ricotta, they are the softest, most delicious meatballs I have ever had. The beef arancini is also one of the best I have tried anywhere. I have also had the fettuccine Alfredo and the penne alla vodka, both incredibly flavorful. Service has been amazing every time. Our server Hannah was attentive and full of joy, the kind of service that makes the whole experience even better. Now let's talk pizza because IT IS the best in town. The Santa Pepperoni is incredible, loaded with crispy pepperoni cups, fresh mozzarella, basil and a drizzle of hot honey on top. The Meat Lovers is also fantastic with sausage, pepperoni, ham and steak. I genuinely do not want any other pizza in my life after trying these. The hot honey on the pizza was not overpowering and it enhanced the salty cupped pepperoni nicely! The calzone was really gooey (in the best possible way!) and delicious. Finally I have to say something about our server, Kia. She was phenomenal. I can't describe how when she came to the table and had to squeeze in to take our order she was almost like a tour guide. She knew the menu, and was very comfortable discussing options. The pizza crust was a bit chewy. Drinking a coke with each bite made it palatable. The photo shows how small it was for $17. SERVICE: The real reason for the low review was the service. The restaurant has about 34 seats and four were occupied, plus us. She ignored us. When she finally came over, she did not say hello, did not introduce herself, did not say welcome. She said. "yeah?" We ordered. She did bring the food. She plopped the two Coke bottles on the table. We had to ask for glasses and ice. A big sigh and a huff but she did bring the glasses. When we were done eating, she came by with the credit card machine and said, "Cannoli?" We said no thank you just the bill. She walked away. Then she cleared a table (one couple left) and no one else came in. She straightened the chairs, made personal phone calls, walked around and finally brought the bill. We could not understand why she acted that way. We were nicely dressed, were polite, no complaints made. Nothing negative on our part. Even if she was having a bad day, there was no reason to be like that to us. There are so many restaurants in this area where you are treated nicely. It will be a while before we give this place a second chance.
