    Smoked Wings
    Blake S.

I was not blown away at all with the food here. The wings were good but nothing crazy, not a lot of flavor past being a salty smoked wing. The burger was very dry and hard to eat. The mushrooms were okay. Old fashioned and espresso martini were good but very expensive. Overall just not a fantastic experience. Took some time for us to finally pay our bill but other than that the service was good. Was pretty packed and it is a bbq leaning bar and grill vibe.

I found myself in Columbia, Missouri and what I discovery. D. Rowe's is amazing. We knew when we pulled up and the lot was full that this is the place!! We started with some appetizers-portobello fries and smoked wings. The wings were some of the best I've ever had. Subtle smoky flavor and cooked perfectly. Fall off the bone. I've never had portobello fries (sliced mushrooms with a light batter fry). Addy C is an amazing server that recommended the best entrees (KC Strip and Ribeye). This is more than a great sports bar. The atmosphere and food are beyond words. If you're in the area, you absolutely would love the food and experience.

Stopped in on our way back to STL from KC. What a great choice! Elevated sports bar with excellent smoked wings (gluten free!). I had the salmon which was tender & moist with a great lemon pepper seasoning. Becky had the teriyaki steak kabobs which arrived sizzling and cooked to the perfect temp. Service was excellent as well. Recommend!!

Always hits the spot. For a bar and grill, this place has really good food. I like getting the Texas chicken with a side of Mac and cheese, all very good. Classic place for my family to go to. They also have a great outdoor patio for when it's nice out!

I enjoyed the food. The portobello mushroom fries were delicious. The server, a man (former marine) was kind and made our lunch enjoyable.

Best wait staff, and nicest TVs. I would recommend the smoked wings, spicy andouille sausage, or bbq feast.

My drink had a rose petal in it, but that little touch didn't feel contrived or cheeky - it was just a nice pop of color in a great-tasting drink. The baked Boursin cheese was absolutely amazing - I walked out of there realizing I probably ate half a wheel of cheese, and I totally didn't regret it. Dinner was the highlight - I ordered the boom boom shrimp - served on a bed of sushi rice, there were mangos, thinly sliced jalapeños, purple cabbage, shrimp fried to perfection, and a nicely flavored boom boom sauce on top. My only criticism of this place is that plates come out of the kitchen as they make them, so be prepared to share a dish or wait. We were halfway through my dinner before my friend's fish and chips arrived. I'm happy to share, but I'm not a fan of this dining trend. Overall fantastic dinner experience!!

Things started out well, the BF had a tasty Manhattan and I had a mocktail that was subtle and delicious, and not overpriced as mocktails often are. But alas. The house salads that we ordered were overdressed in a vinaigrette so acidic we couldn't finish them. And there wasn't much to them. Other than greens and fried shallots and pickled red onions, there was a tiny dusting of some finely grated cheese. And who needs two kinds of onions and nothing else on the salad? Then we each had a bowl of the matzo ball soup, which was ridiculous. Three matzo balls sitting in a quarter-inch of broth that was so unbelievably salty that we couldn't eat that either. We ended up asking for hot water to dilute the broth to a level of saltiness that was edible. The chicken was okay and the matzo balls were okay. A little gummy. But the broth was just awful. It all made me wonder if the chef had lost their sense of taste due to Covid or something. Seriously. I've had that happen to me a couple of times and all I could taste was really basic stuff like sour and salt. And our waitress was totally uninterested in trying to make our experience better. She wasn't rude, she was just indifferent to the fact that we'd been served two courses that we absolutely couldn't eat. Didn't offer us anything to compensate or even express any sympathy about it. We got out of there as fast as we could and made ourselves feel better with an Andy's frozen custard.
