I stumbled upon this souvenir store, the Souvenir Depot, while walking to Stone Cold Creamery…read more
It's funny because they have the same or similar items as in the Old San Juan area, but at lower prices since it's not in the touristy cruise ship area.
For example, the same hats in the Old San Juan district were $24.99, but at this shop they were $14.99, and at the airport they were $29.99. Magnets were $12 for 4 or $12 for 3, depending on the type you wanted. I saw magnets in Old San Juan for $6.99-$7.99 each and at the airport for $8.99-$9.99 each.
The bottom line is that most everything is made in China, Thailand, or elsewhere, not in Puerto Rico, so does it really matter which store or where you got it? No, not really.
On a side note, it's lame to give a business one or two star because their hours aren't updated on some random webpage that isn't associated with the business. Do better, Yelpers.
