Service here was amazing! Yasmin and Maribel were so friendly, helpful, and fun to chat with. The shop is full of beautiful local art and souvenirs, a good sized selection! and Yasmin and Maribel took the time to explain the stories behind a lot of the pieces. The prices seemed fair especially for local and handmade art. They even helped us check for extra sizes in the back for clothing we liked. We found so many handmade treasures and can't wait to gift them to our friends and family. The warmth and hospitality we felt here (and throughout Puerto Rico) has been incredible -- so grateful for the experience! read more

We visited this store on the way to El Yunque rain forest. I really enjoyed it because it had many eclectic pieces. It's different from your run of the mill gift shop. Be sure to check out their tasting section of different hot sauces and salad dressings. I liked the banana vinaigrette. It's definitely worth a visit if you're visiting El Yunque. If you walk out the door and make two lefts there is another gift shop with cool items as well. read more

We were dropped off by an Uber driver here instead of our location which is two miles away. This is a common issue in the area with the driver's. They need to have permits to take someone to the El Yunque visitor center which is about two miles outside of Palmer. The road is busy and unsafe. The employees at this company were kind,caring,and beyond helpful to me and my family. They were a God send in a time of trouble. They were very knowledgeable. I'm very grateful to these people. read more

I stopped in while walking around Palmer. I read the night before how the town is worth checking out before or after El Yunque. I agree! This store has a shop local vibe with some of the same tourist stuff you find anywhere in Old San Juan. The shop makes soap, most vegan, with the exception of one that uses goat milk. They also produce coffee and tea to sell. I tasted the coffee while browsing, a very delightful medium roast. The people here are just lovely. They were helpful in describing the products and what they do. The local products are quality. It's worth a look if you're in town. read more

Carla, the lady who helped us was so friendly and extremely helpful. The store had a great selection of local arts and crafts, and best of all the variety and volume of unique spices and marinades (a whole wall full ) are sure to be the home cooks' highlight. Such a cute gift shop right off PR 3. They serve coffee and have local spices/hot sauces. They have everything from local made art, shirts, towels, alcohol, jewelry, post cards, coffee, cups, wall art, magnets ext. The employees are very nice and welcoming. Some things are a bit pricey but for the most part it's about average for a gift shop. read more

Ok, where do I start? This review/complaint may come off as petty but I had to submit it anyway. My daughter visits San Juan and brings me back a bottle of "Naga Jolokia" hot sauce. Gave the bottle a try and my family loved it. Went looking on Amazon for more....Nothing! So I found their website and ordered about 3 bottles and with shipping it was a little less than $50. Ok, i'll bite! the bottles arrived and my family is ecstatic, we make our tacos and since my daughter never tasted the 1st bottle due to my wife guzzling it. We figured we'd watch our child burn from the fiery goodness that that was before her. She waited in anticipation as I made my famous Carne Asada tacos that were marinated in the finest of ingredients. The moment of truth is upon her. She lathers the Naga on and we warn her! "You will pay!" she takes a bite, My wife and I shudder! She chews and swallows, nods her head as if her tongue is numb and we look in disbelief, surely this isn't so! She said "Its ok but nothing like you said!" I respected the sauce applied a medium amount of Naga! I remember the burn and don't want to suffer! I took a bite, my wife took a bite and we are like WTF! I tasted something that Tabasco sauce had more heat, not to mention it was vinegary! I emailed the company that night and expressed my concerns, I told Tim to go to his stock and check for quality control, he obliged and conformed my suspicions that there was a difference in taste and heat. He tried it himself and noticed that it was sub par! I'm reading in anticipation that there will be some kind of replacement in the works for your diminished, lack luster product that I had imported being that I am a Hot Sauce affection ado. But NO I was offered a paltry 20% off my next order....As the old adage goes "Fool me once!"....You know the rest! read more

Such a cool store and selection of local things. I like to cook and they make a ton of great sauces and seasonings. Karla was definitely a bright spot amongst the locals and very helpful. We bought a few things and they had them shipped home for us. It was cool to get home and see the package on our doorstep. The only reason for the 1 star missing is some of the items where broken and one of the coffee mugs was missing the words on it. Karla help us out! read more

This was one of my favorite little stops while in Puerto Rico. It's a wonderfully eclectic Caribbean shop with everything from art and clothes to homemade hot sauces, olive oils, and vinegars. We walked into many souvenir shops trying to find the perfect item(s) to take back home. This shop has the highest quality of items, by far! They have jewelry, art pieces, trinkets, key chains, soy candles, pens, papers most made by local artists, reasonably priced. They have their own tshirt designs on by far the best quality tshirts we have seen in the area. They carry a wide selection of coffees, jams, sauces, spices. They carried some really cute items such as postcards with a serving of PR coffee inside or a few Tbs of sand from the beach. There is a post office just a few steps away on the same street to buy your stamp and mail it home. Karla was very helpful with basically no sales pressure at all. There are free coffee samples. You can buy cold drinks from the cooler here. I would have loved to taste something (a dip on a cracker?) made with one of the spices they carried. I had no idea where to start in that section. I kind of regret not buying something from that shelf. Our group of 8 gives this gem a 5 Star rating! (I think Karla was pretty happy we stopped by too). Thanks, Karla! read more

Noelia was amazing! We stopped in here after a hike in the rain forest and wow!!! We felt lucky to have found such a great store. I went to the counter with my mango habanero mustard to check out and Noelia asked me if I had tasted it and I said no. She brought my friends and I to a tasting table and we all tasted multiple hot sauces that were made at the store. Everything was delicious and we each bought several bottles. Nice store with a good supply of souvenirs. Cigars, liquor, art, coffee, jewelry, t-shirts. A pretty wide variety and nice. NOT tacky. We went to a few stores. Including in Old San Juan. The selection here is as good as anywhere and they are super helpful. read more

This is in the tiny town of Palmer that is across 3 from the Rio Mar resort. The store has been repainted aqua since the picture here, but the same girl in the picture was there, she was very nice and served coffee while we shopped. On our trip back to the Wyndham Rio Mar from experiencing a beautiful waterfall at the top of the mountain, we stumbled upon this little place. Risell immediately greeted us and offered us some coffee without knowing whether we were just looking like most probably are or not. With her wonderful attention to us and great conversation we ended up leaving with a number of items for family back home. The shop itself offers a great variety of items and not just your typical souvenir shop stuff. They have handmade items from a variety of artists, some cool jewelry which I hadn't seen anywhere else along with a good mix of liquors to suit most anyone. We were able to find all the souvenirs we needed for our family and even a little something for ourselves. The sales lady was friendly, outgoing, helpful and knowledgeable. We might even go online and order some hot sauce when we get home. read more

First time in Puerto Rico for my birthday, my group and I stopped here for souvenirs before our adventure through the Rainforest in Yunque and Jackie not only assisted us with great service in her shop she also gave us great pointers on how to see the full experience of Yunque and the Waterfalls.
