I dined at Mia Bella with my daughter while in Cleveland for a soccer camp at CWRU. The restaurant was small but nice, and we chose to sit at a high top rather than wait for a table. The service was attentive, and several people checked on us throughout our meal. I ordered the lobster ravioli, and my daughter ordered the pesto pasta and added chicken. Both dishes were excellent. The lobster ravioli was extremely flavorful, and my daughter really enjoyed the chicken with her pesto. This was some of the best Italian food I've had. This might not be saying a lot because I am from L.A. and we are not known for our Italian food. My only complaint was the bread. Most Italian restaurants offer complimentary bread for the table, but Mia Bella charges extra for it. That wouldn't bother me as much if the bread were something special, but it was extremely ordinary. It was warm, but otherwise pretty tasteless; no garlic, garlic butter, herbs, or anything else to make it memorable. I'd definitely skip the bread and order a legitimate appetizer instead. All in all, the experience was very strong, and I would definitely return. read more

We came here to celebrate my younger brother's birthday. It was my first time here. We were greeted and taken care of by Yassine; a younger gentleman who was highly knowledgeable and professional. He definitely cared about providing an excellent customer experience. We had the ricotta & honey crostini, which I'd quite literally rate a 10/10 and I am a strict grader. It was absolutely the best appetizer I've ever had at a restaurant and possibly the best bread I've ever had. The entrees were fantastic, despite a small portion for my ravioli and meatballs. I had some of my parents dishes too which were quite good. Overall I'd rate this place a 9.7/10 and will certainly be bringing my business back in the future! read more

I came to Mia Bella with a group of people at around 6pm on a Sunday, and we had an amazing time! So many options on the menu looked excellent but I opted for the ricotta and honey with bread to share, and the lobster ravioli for my entree. The appetizer was excellent--very mild cheese, honey on top was great, and I loved that the bread was very crispy without feeling too doughy or heavy. The lobster ravioli was also excellent. I absolutely loved the tomato cream sauce, and thought the ravioli had a great flavor and texture. I tried some of the other apps that others in my group ordered, and everything I tasted was great. Our server worked extra hard to keep us happy, make sure the food was coming out at an appropriate pace, and explain all of the specials to us. He was very friendly and had no problems splitting our bill in several ways. Overall I really enjoyed my time here and would love to come again someday. read more

Hey Bella is a very good fusion of Italian and Mediterranean. We weren't sure quite what to expect, and we absolutely loved it. Food 4*. Loved everything we ate and would order it all again. Our first time here was less than impressive. But this time was awesome. It all started with our server, Gino, who was amazing. Informative, welcoming and friendly. Drinks were great (Old Fashioned, Amaretto Sours) but the best was the main course. The filet was delicious, well prepared and on a serving of risotto, which was flavorful and zesty. The wife had the pesto and burrata and loved it. Daughter had the shrimp scampi special and wow! Giant shrimp accompanying homemade pasta and a delicious sauce. The food and service are always great. The restaurant is always busy, it's that good. Parking can be a headache in that area but they do offer valet. If I had to choose a last meal, it would probably be their cheese tortellini (iykyk). Love it. read more

Italian comfort! I grew up in Chicago, and the Italian food on the East coast is different. So used to Chicago's Little Italy and we found a similar neighborhood here. This is our 2nd time at Mia Bella and we definitely will come back again when in the area. Had the Burata caprese, eggplant parmesan, supa de pesce, & whole branzino with shrimp fra diavalo. Got the sesame bread because we needed it to sop up the olive oil in the salad and the marina in the eggplant parm! Good portions. Had to take home leftovers. Having their food really took me back home. And I'm not even Italian! Growing up with the the pasta, the sauces, soups, the Italian ices, and the real olive oil, I appreciate the traditional taste, which I found here at Mia Bella. The food felt really comforting, it was one of those "I almost cried!" moments. Last visit, had the oysters, arugula salad, and branzino Service was stellar! Shout out to Olivia and Gino! We didn't have a reservation on a Tuesday, arrived at 5PM, got seated right away. There's 2 rooms and we sat near the kitchen. Ambiance was comfortable, relaxed despite busy dinner service. To a future diners of this place, the food is great most of the time, although the red sauce is not consistent. We have dined here a few times and the service, just like the food, is 50/50. We will not be coming here again, I recommend to anyone thinking of this restaurant to look up the owner. In fact, she insisted that a chef is the only one who could debone an expensive fish. In other words, I would suggest that only basic dishes are appropriate at this restaurant. Really great spot in Little Italy! The food and service is fantastic. Recently had a lovely dinner there with friends and our server, Chrissy, was amazing. We ordered a bottle of chianti- they have quite a decent selection of wine and a good variety of prices for both bottles and glasses. Appetizers: calamari (delicious sauce with veggies and not fried which was a nice surprise) and the sesame bread service (delish bread and olive oil for dipping). My friend had the Caesar salad which I tried and I'll definitely order that next time. For my entree I had the pesto burrata pasta and it was soooo yummy. I am already looking forward to the next time I can eat it. My husband got the cheese tortellini and had nothing but great things to say. Everyone was so happy with their meals! Only reason this isn't a 5 star review is that it's very loud in the restaurant, so keep that in mind when planning. read more

We went to Mia Bella to commemorate my mom's birthday. Our server (Brittany) was fantastic. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed my dish which was the Ragú. It had sun-dried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, pork, beef and veal with a generous dollop of stracciatella cheese. It was so flavorful. After dinner my mom & I toasted my grandfather with a sambuca. It wasn't too crowded because we went early on a Saturday afternoon. Stopped here on a whim while traveling through. Surprised it was very nice inside and the staff was top-notch. I ordered the razor clams special appetizer. They were very well seasoned and flavorful however, a little too chewy for my liking compared to times I've had razor clams previously. I also had the shrimp scampi special with a Chardonnay and it was perfection. My husband had the chicken Parmesan and the pasta and sauce was delicious. Large restaurant in little Italy. Tastefully decorated with large windows. Parking can be challenging. The food was all delicious. Comfort food in large portions. The eggplant parmigiana and spicy calamari appetizers could have been entrees. The eggplant was lightly breaded, had just enough browned cheese and a bright and light tomato sauce, great to mop up with the delicious bread that came in bountiful baskets to the table. Cod special was cooked simply but well. It was accompanied by a small arugula salad, broccolini, and a large bed of linguini. The pasta is high quality, though not made in house. Took home leftovers and had no room for dessert. They were able to accommodate a large party (with a deposit). Looking forward to another visit when we are next in town. read more

Great experience here today. My dad and I have been going to Mama Santa's and occasionally Trattoria Roman Gardens for years after baseball games, but we decided to go to Mia Bella for the first time. The nice cool temperature inside was a wonderful reprieve from a 90+ degree baseball game. Alana was our server, and she was not only accommodating but very kind. she brought out some tasty Italian bread and oil...I got a Caesar salad and my dad got the house salad. I was jealous because his house salad was fantastic, but both good. Would've liked a little bit more crunch on what I assumed were homemade croutons on my Caesar, but I'm getting pretty granular here lol. We also got a pizza for an appetizer although we barely ate any of it. We took it home. It was an interesting mix with pesto, chorizo sausage, onions, and peppers. Maybe a little bit off the beaten path compared to what you might be looking for as far as traditional Italian food goes. Still enjoyable, but I might order something different next time. The peppers on the pizza were fantastic...they reminded me of my grandmother's homemade food. My Dad and I both got the cavatelli pasta and meatballs and it was divine. We both managed to finish the meal, although it was a healthy portion. We barely ate all day and we were totally zapped from being in the sun, so we were ready to eat! No room for dessert as you might've imagined, but I definitely look forward to going back. The BEST meal I've had in Cleveland! Moved here a couple of months ago and am still new to the food scene. Heard about this place through a coworker (who said it was the best spot in Little Italy). We ordered the honey and ricotta bread course...still thinking about that dish...the bread was buttery, garlicky, SOFT yet crispy. The whipped ricotta was insanely delicious. We split the ragu, frutti di mare, and scallops. The scallops were 10/10 best bite of the night. Ragu was fantastic. That sauce tasted like it had been simmering for hours. The frutti di mare was OK (not sure if squid ink pasta is my thing yet), but the sauce had a nice spice and a bold, seafood-forward flavor. Portions were so generous and pricing was honestly fair for this 2025 economy. The ambience was classic, no-fuss Italian fare: white tablecloths, Frank Sinatra , humble staff. And best part is it felt fancy and yet no one would judge you for wearing whatever you wanted. Mia Bella is no-frills, fantastic Italian cooking. We will be back...and back...many times. read more

My daughter and I were in town for some appointments at Cleveland Clinic for myself. I have a cousin who lives about 50 minutes away and asked if he could take us to dinner. He chose Mia Bella"because he has been there a few times we would appreciate everything about this restaurant from service, ambience and especially the food. Everything was wonderful. One thing that surprises me and I found this in Miami also is that you pay for bread service what do I find I come from Milwaukee they bring bread to your at no charge especially with the prices that are charged at these restaurants it seems a little petty to charge for it, just a little food for thought read more

I got the cheese tortellini because it was highly recommended on yelp and beli. I went on a Tuesday evening and there were still a good amount of customers, so l can see why a reservation may be needed for a Friday or weekend. The spicy sauce was just the right about of spice, and the pasta was cooked to perfection. The only critique I have is that some of the peas that were served with the dish was quite undercooked and starchy/hard so it slightly ruined the texture of the dish for me which is why I had to knock it down 1 star:/ my server was very nice and my food came out quickly. read more

Super duper flavorful- grilled flavor, salt, some balsamic and sun dried tomatoes. Just great. The shrimp saganaki was beautiful and flavorful. The food was good, and the service was good, but the prices just don't make sense anymore from when I visited just a year ago. Compared to other restaurants on the block like Mama Santes and Trattoria, which offer similar food at much more reasonable prices, this place feels overpriced for what you get. They don't even provide their bread and dipping oil anymore unless you pay extra, which just adds to the feeling that they've cut back on service while raising prices. The quality has stayed the same--if not declined from when I had visited a year ago--but the cost keeps going up. There are better options nearby for the same experience at a better price. read more

We found Mia Bella on our walk through little Italy and luckily we were able to get a table for 5 w/o a reservation at 6:45 on June 23. The experience from greeting, to service, to our meal was excellent. Our group ordered the Carbonara - very solid, the daily special which was homemade linguini with mussels/shrimp/scallops and lobster, which was excellent, the branzino - which was excellent, the swordfish special - very good and the braciole, which was super. We shared the buffalo mozzarella and sauteed calamari as apps, both of which were very, very good. No desert for us, but for espresso. which was not bitter and piping hot. We had an extra day in Cleveland and at the recommendation of a friend's brother, popped into Mia Bella for dinner. But before that, let's talk parking. On that strip, it's pretty much valet parking only. My recommendation, if you go out ~0.3 miles of the strip, there are plenty of street parking in front of the residences that you can use. Just park there and it's a straight shot walk down the sidewalk to the strip. We get there, no reservation, and they seat us immediately. Our waitress is amazing! Tells us about specials, quick to serve, great service all around. I got a glass of red, some oysters, the filet, and bread to start. Everything was tasty. Th is place is great and if you're in the area and want to get some nice dining, for Cleveland, check it out. read more

Candace was our excellent server and she couldn't have been more helpful. She knew the menu and asked the right questions to hone in on what she thought we would like. Five stars! We started with the burratta salad which was so yummy. Then we shared the Chef's Favorite pizza which was cooked perfectly and had a subtle little kick to it. Next we shared a fantastic chicken piccata which Candace had the chef make with boneless chicken breast. We topped all that off with a creme brûlée that was the best we've ever had. Phenomenal from the second we walked in through every delicious bite of our meal. Started with a dirty martini at the bar as we waited for our table to be ready - highly recommend a reservation, especially on the weekend. Bartenders are super friendly and attentive. The hostess was also wonderful and gave us a warning that our table would be ready soon so we could close our tab at the bar. Everything we ate was wonderful. Being gluten free, it's often hard to dine at Italian restaurants so the fact that they have so many options is truly so helpful. Our server was amazing and I was in love with the truffle cream sauce on the pasta special I ordered. Their traditional red sauce is also delicious - highly recommend getting something that incorporates it just to try it! Great wine list with so many options and reasonably priced without more than a 50% markup. Great experience here. Beautiful space and lovely staff. Cannot wait to return. read more

Overall, a decent meal, but Larry David would go wild over our wobbly table and crowded seating. Have eaten at a lot of the spots in Little Italy, and just personally prefer something that feels more authentic.
