    Stroganoff (chicken)
    Lawrence L.

Love this spot with all the food trucks. There's multiple things for everyone. It's a nice vibe with lots of seating throughout and places for all kinds of tastes. Da Brazilian Braddahs has a great selection of food. We tried the stroganoff and it was tasty. Herbert was awesome and super helpful! Great chatting with him. The only real issue we had was with the portion size of the meat and sauce. Wish there was more! But that could be more of a personal things-Worth a try!

    Chicken cacciatore was fantastic

Oh man!  This food truck rocks!  Ate their food three times from Waianae, not Kahuku.  It's a truck...so it's mobile but there's only one Yelp listing... Ate the chicken stroganoff twice and sauteed ono once.  Wifey had hamburger steak twice and loco moco once.  All were delicious!  The owner clearly loves to cook and is very helpful and friendly.   Super glad the operate out of Waianae frequently.   Have to admit that I am sad I didn't have their food for our final O'ahu 2024 dinner.   But, I do know where I will be eating frequently upon my next trip to O'ahu

This Brazilian Braddah makes yummy food. I have had feijoada once before and loved it. I had to get it again when I saw it on the menu. I called it to place the order to avoid a wait and thankfully he said he had 1 portion left. It was awesome and even better than the one I had earlier. The chef was super friendly and welcoming. Easy 5 stars!

Beef stroganoff (custom without mushrooms as I can't stand them) and it was da bomb!!!

Food was awesome! I had beef stroganoff and I can't wait to come back and try it again. Stop reading and start eating this stuff soon.

i forgot the name, but it was delicious!

We came to this food truck 2 nights in a row. That's how much i loved the food here! The guy was super nice and made sure his foods are good. There were other food trucks in the area but some are either closed early or non-operating. Would've loved to try other food trucks but this one is definitely will be a repeat when we're in the north shore of O'ahu.

Stopped by with our Brazilian friend who said she had been here before! She ordered for us as we had never had Brazilian food before. Let me tell you, the food and service were amazing!!! The guy taking our order was friendly and funny and got our order out quickly. The food was soooo yummy and I absolutely cannot wait to come back. If you are unsure of what to get, just ask the owners/employees and they will guide you in the right direction. Thank you for the amazing food and laughter.

    Catch of the day

Big bonus this food truck stays open until 8-8:30pm, I had the catch of the day and it was excellent! They had marlin. The seasoning is great the rice and salad sides very a nice touch. Highly recommend trying this food truck!

My boyfriend and I came to spend our vacation in Hawaii. I am Brazilian and after hearing a lot of good comments about this food truck I couldn't help but try it. I can say for sure this place has authentic and delicious Brazilian food. The owner is super friendly and the food is excellent, so it is definitely a must have when you're on the north coast. Trust me it's so worth it.

    Surf & Turf so ono!!!
    Essie K.

SO ONO! Brother works hard back there making delicious fresh food. The surf and turf was excellent. Super flavorful and a big portion! Must be a 6 - 8 oz steak in there cooked the way you want. Shrimp was bomb - not all soaked in butter but light and fresh tasting. He's a one man show so be patient, be respectful of small biz. Call before you go to make sure he's open since the man deserves a break once in a while. If he's not open he's taking a little time for himself so be kind.

We are staying in Laie and we needed to grab food since there isn't anything open in Laie we ended up going to Kahuku and the area with food trucks only a few were open. There is ample amount of parking. So we came here never actually had Brazilian food so I'm not sure how it's supposed to taste my dad got the surf and turf and my mom and I shared the stroganoff. It's not your usual stroganoff that you think of with noodles and beef theirs is chicken with a cream sauce the only comment is the chicken was dry and tough I didn't even realize it was chicken from it being so dry. The shrimp was good the sauce had a little kick to it, but the steak was ok a bit tough. My dad doesn't like olives and egg whites and they put it in their Mac salad. Kinda wish we choose the Feijoada since someone said it was a short rib stew and it was good.

Had steak, shrimp and stroganoff. Everything was delicious. Will definitely come back to try other dishes. Thank you!

We dined there for lunch on a Monday, so naturally, they weren't too busy. We were seated right away and our drink orders were once we were seated. I decided on one of the specials of the month, White Wash. It was a refreshing mix of watermelon juice, cucumber, mint, and vodka. The bartender didn't skimp on the vodka! You can get a free kid's meal with every entree. The nachos count as entrees, and I was definitely feeling the nachos so we ordered the Lobster Nachos and the Mauka to Makai Nachos. With the Mauka to Makai Nachos, you get a very generous serving of poke nachos and kalua pig nachos. Neither plates disappointed. There were cheesy chunks of lobster on my nachos with diced jalapenos scattered on top. The poke was so fresh, and what made the nachos even better were the fresh house made tortilla chips. My kids had the mac and cheese, and cheeseburger meals. The mac and cheese was creamy and velvety. The cheeseburgers had that nice char-broiled taste. Kids eat well at Tavern! The customer service was excellent and with a view overlooking the ocean, I am looking forward to dining at Lanterns again.

Unfortunately, they don't have an elevator, which was a little difficult for my grandmother who was with us. However, we were still able to make it up the stairs slowly but surely. It wasn't busy at all but there was only one waiter/bartender. He was very kind and efficient, but I could tell it was a lot for one person to wait on the whole restaurant! It meant ordering was a little slow, but understandably. The food itself was delicious! The burgers were amazing, honestly would be on a list of top five burgers on the island. The mauka to makai (half kalua pig, half poke) nachos were amazing. The won ton chips were to die for. We also grabbed a mini purse drink - which is definitely enough for two to share! Such a fun concept and actually how I heard of the place. Besides the slightly slow service, no elevator (which sometimes, cannot help), and the AI generated menus, this place is amazing! Plus, a nice view while you eat.

To set the tone, a lady walked in just before me with 3 dogs off leash that were better behaved than my children and all calmly waited outside after she walked in. It was fairly empty, and a family was seated, with a couple kids near their table that were running around when we got in, and 2 old guys were at the bar drinking. They sat us immediately at a huge table in the corner, so we had no wait. I ordered the Hawaiian plate and my wife and daughter got some sort of chicken plate that came on skewers. I think my son got the steak. This damn food was the best Hawaiian food I had on my whole trip, and my wife and daughter said it was the best chicken they ever tasted. One of the old guys was friendly and wished me a happy Father's Day and complemented my family. For anyone that's a firm believer of hole in the walls being the best food and/or is sick of chain restaurants with no character, definitely check this place out, the food was incredible and it was oozing with personality. I ordered the charred Caesar salad and duck fat fries. The charred salad was odd, I think I was expecting a light smoke but I guess they were true to the title because it was charred. My prime rib was the standard medium rare but it took some cutting because there was so much connective tissue that had not melted, the fat hadn't melted either. It was just bad. I asked the server about the prime rib and she said it's supposed to have a lot of fat because of the cut. Absolutely true, but it's supposed to melt not be huge chunks. It also needed the horseradish, it had no flavor otherwise. The server was nice and took half off the prime rib. The fries tasted like a standard fry I've had before, nothing special. I tried the lobster pasta my friend had and it was delicious, everyone who ordered pasta at the table was satisfied which is great but this is a steak restaurant. The server was really nice. I wouldn't come back even if someone else was paying. But my dog appreciated the prime rib I brought home, so I guess that's a win?

It was definitely more "local" style kimchi, but nonetheless, delicious. The Mini Combo was very well-portioned and had a great variety of protein. Every piece was delicious and not too salty.
