Pão de Queijo is the cutest little Brazilian cheese bread and gosh you're missing out on something yummy! Totally gluten free these warmlittle bites are made from cassava root but check out their Instagram @nosh_hawaii to see the many ways you can enjoy them from savory to sweet is so creative but personally just plainly simple is my favorite! I was fortunate to enjoy these lovelies at a block party which they offered them filled with various type cheese and found that plain is still my fave. Currently you can find them at the KCC Market on Saturday mornings 7:30am-11am and Kailua Town Center Thursday Night Market 4pm-7pm and how fortunate we are for this simple yummy treat! Thank you!

Stopping by Nosh is one of my guilty pleasures when grocery shopping at Whole Foods Market Queen. It is located on the second floor next to Hakuna Banana. Nosh specializes in pão de queijo, or in English, orgasmically delicious Brazilian cheese bread. These tasty little cheese buns are so addictive. Crispy on the outside, and warm and chewy cheese on the inside, I'm only sad that just two pieces come with each $5 order! Yes, it's on the pricey side considering that you only get two pieces, but it's probably a good thing for me so that I don't stop here every time I visit Whole Foods. Besides the plain pão de queijo, Nosh also sells pão de queijo with filling and pão de queijo sliders. I tried a free pão de queijo with pesto filling at an event recently, and thought it was good, but I prefer the simplicity and deliciousness of the original without any additional flavors. I decided to step outside of my foodie comfort zone the last time I was at Nosh, and ordered the week's slider special with brie cheese and fig jam. The sliders are too expensive in my opinion. It's basically two pão de queijo sliced in half with a small portion of cheese, meat, or jam. Again, I prefer the original to anything else, so I felt the brie and jam were unnecessary and clouded the flavor of the original cheese melted into the pão de queijo. I think the cost of the slider would be justified if the pão de queijo for the sliders were slightly larger and filled with more ingredients. My recommendation for anyone with a pão de queijo addiction, or who enjoys the sliders, is to buy the bake at home bag. It's much more economical with six rolls per bag for $10. Buy a jar of organic jam and a wheel of brie from Whole Foods, and go home to make your own sliders for a fraction of the cost.

Who would have ever known this tiny little cheese bread called pao were so delicious? It looks super small but don't let that full you! It's actually quite filling! My good friend who grew up in Brazil got me hooked on Nosh at the KCC's framer market. I was ecstatic when I came across them after shopping at Whole Foods. These little nuggets of cheese are a bit pricy (2 for $5) but I'm always willing to support local. The 6 frozen pao for $10 is a good deal! You have to take it home and bake it yourself. Directions are simple to follow. :) If I can bake pao in the oven at 375 degrees for 24 minutes so can you!

We tried this. Was interesting. I liked most of the little sandwiches but wasn't crazy about the goat cheese and maple pecans one. Other than I'm glad I got to try something different for the first time.

Finally got to try them at made in hawaii, and now im addicted. Love that they have a frozen package so you can make them at home! Bite sized cheese breads with fillings of choice. Either stuffed with gooey goodness or sliced up like a sandwich. They have savory and sweet selections, all are good. But i am def a fan of the sweet, since its a cheese bread it makes it a sweet AND savory piece. At MIH i tried the caramel, plain, and garlic cream. Caramel was my fave. At whole foods i got the caprese. Huge slice of fresh mozz, slices of tomato, sweet balsamic drizzle, and a spoonful of pesto!

Located in a kiosk on the second floor of Whole Foods Queen Street, Nosh serves Brazilian pao (cheese bread). Savory bun that hake as a mochi consistency to it. They are absolutely delicious! I first got acquainted with them at the KCC farmer's market. They offer samples if you are curious. Beware though, one bite and you'll be hooked and want to buy some. They come plain, stuffed or made into sliders. You can even buy some to bake when you get home. I got two sliders for $10, a caprese and one that had salami and pickles with mustard. Both were very tasty! I was there for lunch and found myself still hungry after eating both sliders.

They offer sliders as well! I need to try these next!

Warm Brazilian cheese bread with an option for sweet and savory fillings? Need I say more?? Located on the 2nd level of Whole Foods, Nosh has made its home next to Two Tides bar in a cute little food stand. I normally go for the two/$5 plain or two/$6 savory pieces, but I was craving both sweet and savory. They change their flavors weekly so I did one guava and one jalapeño popper. YUM! The guava was delish but messy. The jalapeño popper was my favorite as it complemented the bread well and was a hint spicy. You can also do a bag of the frozen take home 6 pieces for $10! I picked one of these up but I have yet to try it. Cheers to Nosh for always providing quality products. Before you could only find them at farmers markets and trade shows, but now they have found a permanent home in Whole Foods!!

Popup on the second floor of Whole Foods on Queen Street

Went to Whole Foods at Ward Village to meet some girlfriends for lunch and discovered their popup on the second floor, right as you exit the parking garage. If we hadn't had our hearts - and stomachs - set on lunch downstairs, we would have sampled the sliders. Since we didn't, I opted to buy a bag of frozen Pao de Queijo (cheese rolls) to bake at home at my leisure. After sampling the baked rolls at home - so soft and salty cheesy - I'm gonna have to go back and try those sliders. They've signed on for 6 months for the popup, and hopefully they get enough business to stay permanently!

My bf and I LOVE the dulce de leche (aka caramel) filled cheese bread. Cheese and caramel might seem like an odd combo, but it totally works with that sweet and savoriness. 2 regular cheese breads for $5, plus additional $0.50 for filling each.

So glad I was finally able to visit this pop up at the Honolulu Night Market! I had no idea what a pao de queijo was but the smell alone got me hooked. I ordered the 2 for $5 original roll and it was a little smaller than I expected (about the size of my palm). The texture is almost like that of butter mochi, a light crunch on the outside and a bouncy chewiness on the inside. The cheese flavor was not too rich but definitely wholesome in flavor. One roll actually turned out to be a good and satisfactory amount. They also have Nutella flavor and mini versions of the original with different dips like pesto too. You can't go wrong with these warm treats, and dare I say it may even be worth the risk for you lactose intolerant peeps! 2018 Yelp review #12

Since my work highly promotes eating healthy, Nosh Hawaii comes every Thursdays to my building and sells anything healthy from their collection. Every Thursdays, owners Stacy and Alessandra are the two faces behind the preparation of my co-workers healthy lunches. Stacy takes the orders and Alessandra is the multitasker in prepping the order. I'm a fan of their hearty salads, sandwiches, and breads. Every week, Nosh prepares a set one to two item menu for purchase with their signature cheese bread. It is extremely difficult to pass the opportunity to buy from them because they make their breads fresh in the oven on site and the aroma of the freshness wafts into the air inviting everyone else walking past. I must say, I'm not a fan of gluten free stuff. Nosh's Brazilian pao de queijo is not only gluten free but is a delicious cheesy number made with simple ingredients and tapioca flour. After biting into it, the consistency of crispy layer with fluff and gooey on the inside has a thrilling savory taste. The salad is also hearty with lettuce made with wholesome, filling ingredients like roasted corn, tomatoes, onions, black beans and sweet peppers and lite cilantro dressing. The Brazilian bread and salad definitely filled the tummy without any guilt. The breads can be purchased from $2 each or a bag of 6 for $10 in different flavors. Price ranges between $9 through $11. I love buying from them because it's easy to pick and choose which little ingredients I don't want included in my food. Stacy is immensely versatile and Alessandra always gets our orders right to the tee. I highly recommend Nosh Hawaii for any work functions and definitely qualifies for a healthy choice. Nosh can also be found at local farmers markets and Eat the Street. They accept credit cards! Social Media: FB/IG: Nosh Hawaii

He boldly went up to the vendor and asked for a sample which I embarrassingly looked away but he was given a piece (hey, closed mouths don't get fed) and he was immediately set on getting something from here. He got the ribs plate, I was $35 and came with salad, rice, and fries. It took a while for it to be ready, like 30 minutes, but I do understand as when it came out, it was literally a GIANT rib piece. He cut the meats off the rib and started nawing on it like a cave man. It was a very enjoyable experience for him, although, it was clear that the meat was a bit chewy and tough. The chewiness and toughness was a big let down for sure, as for all the meat that he cut off from the bone, they were all very hard to eat. HOWEVER, it was very flavorful, so I guess it is the trade-off from the way they smoke/cook it. We also added a chorizo, it was flavorful and juicy, obviously much easier to eat. The fries were good, some pieces soaked up the meat flavor which was yum. The salad was underneath the meat and got sooo greasy I couldn't eat it, the tomatoes were good though.
