The best Chinese food! Always so fresh and delicious! They're super nice and fast too!

I miss the epic New York style Chinese food that I grew up with living in New York. In my adopted home of Las Vegas, it is so challenging to find New York style Chinese food. Even in the NY-NY Casino. If you are a New Yorker reading this, "please don't take your Chinese food for granted." If you are a Las Vegan reading this, "the closest thing to the Chinese food that this take out served me are the three New York Chinese Restaurants."     Da Hung Kitchen is in the Shoprite-anchored shopping center. Going back to at least 1991 when Waldbaum's and Genovese Drugs anchored this shopping center, there has been a Chinese take out in this space.     And take out is what we did. It was a rainy night which was perfect for a Chinese food delivery. For around $10, I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein dinner. The chicken chow mein was flavorful with a sundry of chicken. Ditto for the fried rice. I also cherished the crunchy egg roll that is also a rarity in Las Vegas. This is so different from the spring roll style that dominates the Las Vegas Chinese Restaurants.    I give Da Hung Kitchen four stars. If only www.amazon.com could deliver Chinese food like Da Hung Kitchen to Las Vegas. read more

I thought I had found my golden Chinese food restaurant. Food is amazing, prices are great, and the staff are friendly every time!! However, I'm sad to say I will not be coming back. My wife and I ordered as we usually do, same order, no difference..kinda predictable on their end..and then as I was draining the broth from her chicken noodle soup into my bowl, I found a dead roach.. I was sooooooooo disappointed. I'm not kidding around, and I wish I took a picture before dumping the bowl. I'm not saying don't order from here, because the place is great!! I saw this restaurant was recommended by a Facebook moms group so I decided to take a chance and try their food! I had a lunch special which included soup roast pork egg foo yong and roast pork fried rice and also ordered a small order of barbecue ribs which I requested to be well done,... which they were to perfection! I also ordered an eggroll since my brother always told me it was the best way to judge a good Chinese restaurant! First bite and chew the eggroll was such a fresh taste of cabbage like right away I knew this was freshly made and it was delicious! Second test was the rib as I said cooked to perfection delicious just the right amount of burnt taste that I love. Next was the egg foo young and it had that same fresh vegetable taste as the eggroll I highly recommend this place I'm too full to try the soup but I'm sure it's just as good read more

This place is not very relative to where I live. I am in the same town but not very conveniently located to it, as it's exactly 5.3mi away from my house and kind of an annoying route but it's so worth it to me. I usually pick up my order because I feel bad making them deliver it, but today was an exception given the gloomy weather and lazy day I'm having, so I placed my order for delivery on a cold, rainy and windy Saturday evening. The gentleman taking my order was patient with me, understanding to my dietary needs/concerns and read my order back to me. I find that a lot of other takeout places kind of rush you on the phone and he didn't do that at all. My order consisted of Shrimp and mushroom with light garlic sauce (instead of it's standard brown sauce) , a large chicken wonton soup with extra spinach (which is $1 more for extra spinach, but whatever, not too big of a deal considering no other Chinese take out place offers chicken wonton soup with spinach), and an order of steamed chicken dumplings. Hold the rice. He took my payment over the phone and said it would be delivered in about 30min. Again, it's a cold, windy and rainy saturday night, i was expecting a delivery closer to 45minutes but less than 20minutes after I placed the order, a nice gentleman showed up with the delivery to the side door entrance, like I requested. I sign the receipt, tip him and he leaves. I unpack the food and am kind of (pleasantly) shocked to find it exactly as I ordered! I changed up the sauces and had some minor requests and each one was exactly accommodated. The food was hot and delicious. I know. .. it's just an American Chinese take out store. But wow, one of the best American Chinese food ever (well at least in LI.) I was surprised to see how some of the food taste like authentic Chinese food. I said some, not all. The fries were crispy and prefect amount of salt (It's usually soggy everywhere else.) The eggplant in garlic sauce is amazing. Really one of the better options for chinese takeout. Comparing this to other American chinese takeout places, this would be 5 stars. no stars The worst food I've ever had - threw out the so called fried rice it was disgusting and had no taste. I like this place. Very clean and everyone I've dealt with is friendly. I've never had anything more adventurous than General Tso's chicken and spare ribs, but what I've ordered has always been on point. I've tried most of my local Chinese joints and Da Hang is my go to spot. read more

First off, the people here are super friendly. They're nice on the phone and in person. This is definitely the best Chinese takeout in the area. I started going here after I moved back into the area and my old place on Hawkins was gone. I originally went to Ching Hoi, the place across the street, which is pretty tasteless and they tend to fry everything until it is dark brown and I guess they don't drain it, because everything tastes like oil. Everything here that I've tried is pretty great. The only exception, and I won't fault them because every other place does the same, is use frozen seafood. Besides that, I haven't found a place on or off of Portion road as good as this place. read more

Probably the worst take out bought house special chow mein with brown rice so bland didn't taste like anything brown rice smelled and tasted like they cooked with dirty mop water!!!
