good food and good prices my only complaint out of everything was that the wontons in my wonton soup were a little soggy even though i ordered in person so that means i either got a soup someone cancelled or they were soaking for a while too long. Best things i got were the vegetable egg roll u don't find many places (usually it's a spring roll) and the yangzhou/young chow fried rice otherwise i was very happy with my order and would try again. they offer lunch specials very reasonably priced too (6-8 dollar range) read more

I called and asked if it was possible to order to pick up around 9:45 even though they closed at 10 because it was a last minute thing and they already had the best reviews in the area. I wasn't going to get my Hope's up, but to my surprise the woman was very pleasant and asked if I could be there within 10 mins or so. Of course was my response, and she took my order! We ordered fried dumplings, cold noodle sesame sauce, Singapore chow mei fun, chicken and broccoli combo, and a general tso's chicken combo. Upon pick up, I thanked them and they were so polite and asked what sauces, how many, silverware, and even made a couple of jokes. I definitely enjoyed that experience. The dumplings were fat! Super stuffed and my boyfriend loved them. While I thought they were huge and looked delicious, the meat filling seemed a bit different to me then I'm used to...so he enjoyed them. The cold noodle sesame sauce was very good. Super creamy and lots of yummy peanut butter flavor. The chicken and broccoli was very tasty...loved the sauce and texture of the chicken. The fried rice was more traditional and was made w lots of pork and veggies. The Singapore chow mei fun was exceptional. Perfect amount of curry, lots of protein, including shrimp, chicken, and pork, and a nice ratio of veggies. The general tso's was pretty good. The chicken was tender but the sauce was a little different then I've had at other places. Not that it wasn't good...just different. I added the hot oil and it boosted the flavor to perfection. And of course the egg rolls which were standard, however not dripping with grease. To be honest, none of these dishes had any greasy, heavy feel to them. 4 stars because even though I personally wasn't a fan of the dumplings and I found the general tso's sauce a bit different, the service was wonderful and overall the food was delicious. I called after not getting eggrolls with my 3 dinner orders onky because this was the 2nd time yhat they forgot my eggrolls. At first the woman was apologetic and offered for me to come back, but I was too tired and did not feel like going out again after a long day. The kicker was she calls me back 1/2 hr later to say that the guy did put the eggrolls in the bag and tjat I got them, I told her I would not have to call her if I got them. We order from here at least twice a month for the last 2 years. We all have different request for our meals, like no veggies, extra spicy, etc.... and they never messed up any order (which our last place always did). There must be 12 Chinese food places that we pass to get here but this place tops them all. Great food, great portions, and regular prices. I love the orange chicken extra spicy. The egg & shrimp rolls are not greasy, nice and crispy, and the inside has a nice texture (not overcooked & mushy). The wonton soup in very good as well. Boyfriend and I order from here about 3 times a month. Food is delicious, potions are perfect for the price! The woman behind the counter is very nice and always makes a point to say hello when you come in and if she doesn't get a chance right away she does make an effort to a minute or two later once she's done helping package up or cooking. The other employees there who I've interacted with are very nice as well and anyone who's answered their phone has always been pleasant and helpful. It's clean and brightly lit which is welcome in such a dimly lit area of Johnson Ave. Definitely recommend if you're in the neighborhood!! Most places I try the fried wontons they overcook it to the point the meat inside is like shoe leather. At Dim Sum however the meat stays tender and juicy.
