We and my new family, Alyssa and Junyou.

This adventure was a blast. I was dealing with a back injury so I didn't get to do everything, but it was an amazing time watching Alyssa and Junyou kick butt. They cheered them on and I watched them get better and better each time they rappelled. The guides are amazing. They let me walk along with our little group. I was in charge of videos, pictures and GoPro. Thank you!

What an amazing experience!! I would absolutely do it again! We did the Waterfall Rappelling with Matt and Nan and they did such a wonderful job! My husband and I had never been rappelling before and they made it such an easy and memorable experience. If you are even considering it, just sign up and do it because you won't regret it!! I couldn't have asked for a better experience or better teachers! Thank you Nan and Matt! Fun Facts: - they will provide felt-bottom water shoes for you, so you won't need to grab your own - Make sure you wear something comfortable to hike in, but lightweight to go swimming in - We had beginners all the way to seasoned dry-rappelling climbers, so you don't have to have any previous experience. - It's very easy to miss the turn into the site, so make sure you're going slow when your get close to the turn and keep a sharp eye out for - You really won't be in the sun, so bug spray more so than sunscreen - You will be hiking to the waterfalls, and sometimes the terrain is muddy, slick and wet - They will provide you with a dry-bag to keep all of your personal items dry - They will provide snacks and drinks for you

Best thing I did in Kauai!! Waterfalls are amazing and easy to access without going onto private property by yourself. Our guide was fantastic and hospitable. Made us feel safe and welcome. This is a must every time we come to Kauai!!! Mahalo nui Da Life pomaika'i!

    The two waterfalls

Mitch, our guide was awesome. Fun hike, not very intense. It gets a little steep in spots but you have ropes and steps to make it easier. Waterfalls were great with a nive swimming pool at the bottom of both. Mitch is very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna and makes the hike enjoyable.

First of all, this is not an activity it's an adventure. No one in our group wanted or can join me so had to do it on my own. We are a small group of 6 and was lucky enough to have a very kind couple(alice & bart) to have recorded me. That being said, Coming from someone who has no experience rappelling and has fear of heights why would I do this? Because I believe this is must do when in Kauai! Da life outdoors staff were beyond exceptional! Naan was so patient in giving instructions/directions without showing frustration to a nervous wrecked me. He was is with at the top of the waterfall and without him for sure I would have chickened out. He just said "don't overthink it or you'll say I should have done it!" And Matt was a the bottom despite the loud sound of the waterfall hearing him scream his cues, guidance and motivation on the way down was reassuring. Both of them of them made me feel safe, and supported me in achieving this waterfall rappel once in a lifetime experience. They were so genuine and really will push you to get through it, I hope they feel rewarded enough knowing that they are a part of people achieving a milestone or bucket list goal. Where else can you have an exceptionally magical place for a couple of hours all to ourselves, totally worth it! Oh lastly... just don't look down!

Great day-great guides! The guides were so friendly, informative, encouraging and appeared to love their job.... Made tour humorous. Learned a lot about plants and vegetation while making the hike. Waterfalls were great and the experience was priceless. I would say only one negative- price for spectators is overpriced. Walked with to video and was charged 1/2 the price... seems like an unnecessary added on cost for that part of experience only. Rest is well worth the trip.

Ok, the waterfall rappelling was awesome. We did a lot of activities on Kauai (Float Tube Ride, Zip Lining, Kayaking, Waimea Canyon), but this was the most fun and memorable activity we did. Nothing like it before. Two guides, Matt and Renan (bread guy?!), did an awesome job. There is a safety discussion and practice cliff you do prior to the waterfalls. They both did a good job explaining everything and making sure everyone was comfortable. There is a short hike and at that time, the guides were good at pointing out some interesting plant life. You quickly arrive at the first waterfall - a 30ft. They split the group, so you can ensure to get pictures from the bottom of others in your party. Matt and Nan were very enthusiastic and encouraging for the group. Lots of happy cheers and shouts! Then you get to the 60ft waterfall. Much more intense. There were two options to take. The left side of the waterfall where the water is light. And the middle where it was full force. I was the only fool in the group that took the middle. Glad, I did and would recommend if you are comfortable. The sheer force of the water hitting you when you go down is something I won't forget. If you are comfortable leaning over a cliff knowing you are safely secured, this is the activity for you. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

This was our favorite activity on Kauai ever, just before the zodiac boat ride that went all the way in &through the caves on the Nepali coastline! That was pretty epic too! Our guides for this made our day! Naan and Matt were a blast & kept everyone safe too! Our group, led by gutsy tweens opted to go down the center of the big waterfall, so of course we all had to follow & we loved it! We had done waterfall rappelling in Switzerland years ago, but doing it in Hawaii (warm water) is just the best!! Thanks so much to Naan & Matt for an amazing anniversary day for us & our kiddos too!

In my top 3 most awesome things to do in Kauai !!!

Such a fun couple guides they really made this experience absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back !!!

We did the waterfall hike and swim. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and funny. He took his time to explain to us the area we were hiking to and the whole time made sure we were safe and enjoying the hike. Our favorite part was walking underneath the waterfall, it was an experience to remember. We loved this adventure and would definitely return to do it again.

We especially appreciated that they refunded our friends when they had to cancel for medical reasons, even though we hadn't purchased the optional booking insurance months earlier. That level of customer service really stood out. Our guide, Josh, was outstanding--personable, funny, engaging, and attentive throughout the entire tour. He made a great experience even better. A few tips for future visitors: definitely rent the water shoes (Crocs) and the wetsuit shirts. The water and tunnels can get a little chilly, and we were glad to have the extra warmth. Also, pre-purchasing the photo package was absolutely worth it. All of the photos were emailed to us afterward, which meant we didn't have to stay behind to review them, and we ended up with a collection of fun memories from the day. The tour itself was well organized and packed a lot into about three hours. We arrived 30 minutes early, then rode in an open-air truck up to the plantation. Along the way, we stopped at a beautiful volcano overlook before taking a short nature walk to the tubing launch point. We floated through five tunnels before finishing in a relaxing lazy-river section. There were two photo opportunities during the adventure, and afterward we enjoyed a simple but satisfying lunch of sandwiches, chips, and cookies before returning to the warehouse. Overall, it was a fun, unique, and memorable morning on Kauai. Great guides, beautiful scenery, excellent customer service, and plenty of laughs. We would absolutely do it again!

Hands down one of the coolest things I've ever done. Captain Dom was the perfect mix of chill, knowledgeable, and safety-conscious--dude knew exactly how to handle the boat, even when we got up close and personal with some pretty intense waves near the cliffs and caves. And Chaz? Absolute legend. Kept the vibes light with some solid (and delightfully cheesy) jokes, plus he snapped a ton of pics so we could actually enjoy the moment without worrying about our phones. But the real highlights? Getting insanely close to the cliffs and feeling the sheer power of the ocean, then just floating out in the middle of nowhere, taking it all in. Oh, and did I mention we saw THREE whale breaches and a bunch of dolphins? Unreal. If you're on the fence, take this as your sign to book it. Zero regrets, just pure adventure.

Captain Max was incredible--his sense of humor kept us laughing even as the rain and mist rolled in. The two women on the crew (I wish I could remember their names) were fantastic, making sure everyone was comfortable and answering all our questions with a smile. The playlist on board was spot on, setting the perfect vibe. I wish I could find it on Spotify! Despite the weather, the views were breathtaking, and getting a little drenched just added to the adventure. The food was delicious, especially the smoked pork, salad, and fresh fruit, and my husband loved the mai tais. Even without the sunset, the whole experience was magical. Price was $250 per person and we booked a couple days before the tour date. (we went at the end of March - the weather was fantastic and not too hot, also not raining). Although it was pricey, I felt like it was worth the experience and highly recommend anyone do a tour, even if it's not with this company. We got back to shore around 7-7:30pm, so total time was 5 hours ish. Pros: - the Na Pali coast is BEAUTIFUL - the views were truly a once in a life time experience for me and I saw the fullest rainbow I've ever seen - The tour guide was super informative, we learned a lot about whales, and they also taught us a lot about certain mountains and waterfalls that we passed on the Na Pali Coast (like where Kauai kings were buried). - We stopped to watch whales multiple times and it was really cool! - The 3 staff working on board the ship were extremely helpful in answering questions, providing drinks, and instructing people from a safety perspective - Safety - I felt very well taken care of the whole time. It's a barefoot cruise but people can choose to keep their shoes on if they want. They provided bags for people feeling nauseous and gave good advice when people were feeling seasick. - Food provided - it's not fine dining or anything (chicken teriyaki, salad, etc) but it does beat having to pack your own food or go hungry around dinner time. Also unlimited alcohol or nonalcoholic drinks. - The staff helped us take photos and there's a lot of great photo opportunities at the coast - Champagne toast at sunset, which was beautiful to watch out on the water - bathrooms available on board - My husband didn't feel like eating on board due to the motion sickness so they were kind enough to pack a to-go box for us! - Parking was easy and the meet up location was easy to find - we stood outside for most of the ride since it felt better than sitting inside, so we did get a bunch of sea-spray and got super wet from the 10 ft swells, but it felt really fun! Cons: - I think they need to put a huge disclaimer with statistics or something to show people how common it is for people to get seasick and vomit. I think maybe 5 people from our whole boat got really sick and either fell or vomited during the trip (can feel a little weird enjoying the beautiful view while someone smells like vomit next to you lol). They do tell you at the beginning that you can walk away and get a full refund after hearing the captain briefing during the meet up starting spot, but I don't think they really emphasize just how many people get sick. I personally felt fine but I felt really bad for people who had to gut through the five hour round trip feeling terrible. bring Dramamine!! This was definitely a highlight of my first time in Kauai, I wouldn't necessarily do it more than once due to the price, but it was a fantastic experience for the views!

There was us 3 and several other groups that did this tour. We didn't know what to expect but that's what made this tour so fun! As soon as we unloaded the bus we parked our kayaks, packed up our belongings in water proof bags and set sail. Haha! If you're not a swimmer, they do provide life jackets. We kayaked along the River for about 45 minutes and then parked next to the hiking trail. Hiking sandals are a must need for this excursion by the way. I made the mistake of wearing hiking shoes which got all messed up in the mud. Yes, folks! When I say there is mud, be prepared to get your clothes wet and muddy. There is a part during the rocky hike where you will need to walk in the river waist deep to get to the other side. If you're not a strong hiker, a walking stick will help you keep your balance. I've seen a few people fall from the slippery rocks so make sure to keep a steady pace. With that in mind, you'll make your way to the beautiful waterfall that awaits you at the end. Picture worthy! For those who've never been here before, keep in mind of the time you'll spend here. As I mentioned earlier, it was about 5 and half hours long from start to finish. Kayaking there takes almost an hour. Hiking takes just as long. With all the slippery rocks and the mud, please don't wear your Sundays best. You will get dirty! Bring lots of water to stay hydrated and some snacks and a light lunch to keep your energy up. You will get tired hiking and kayaking back to base camp. Overall, this experience was pretty awesome! Definitely made some memories here that my friends and I will share forever.
