    Vegetable Samosa

Absolutely excellent! Tucked away just off the busy 42nd intersection. Nice, small indoor area for ordering, but their covered and heated area is great for dine-in, year-round. Very cozy and the gentleman at the front is so helpful and knowledgeable. Food is fantastic, got the lamb/goat vindaloo, bread, veggie samosas and sauces. Plenty for two people to share. Vindaloo is so flavorful and complex, and if ordering, regular spicy is hot! So go medium, if not used to it, but so good! The sauces are exceptional, especially the mint. Samosas are hot and crisp, with a dusting of masala. Well priced and great portions. A great addition to the area.

Amazing food! We ordered take out and our food was ready when we arrived. I ordered the Aloo Gobhi which is my favorite dish and I was not disappointed. Full of flavor and comfort. The vegetable samosas were excellent as well as the veg wrap my husband ordered. If you're looking for authentic Indian food I highly recommend Daawat A Ishq! They have distinct "Veg" and "Non Veg" menu options which always makes it easy for everyone. Loved the food and will definitely go back.

we ordered the baingan bharta, kadahi goat, butter naan, & mango lassi. The server was sweet to split the mango lassi for us. Everything was so powerfully seasoned the local bees were intrigued. Fall off bone goat with bone marrow. Buttery eggplant. Oh and how lovely the black pepper notes in the mango lassi. Would come again.

Food is still amazing. I visited this place after a year. The setup has changed but food quality and quantity is still the same. I recommend to try paneer dishes as the paneer was super soft in shahi paneer and paneer pakora.

This place truly lives up to the great reviews! The staff was friendly, the food came out quick (like "woah, it's ready already?" quick), and, most importantly, tasted fantastic. Even if you're familiar with the area it can be easy to miss this spot, but once you go you'll point it out (and crave it) every time you drive by I ordered the lamb samosas, Malai Kofta, goat vindaloo (not pictured), garlic naan, and a mango lassi. I ordered both the kofta and vindaloo with medium heat, which did not overpower the flavors but did make me sweat a bit! The lassi wasn't too sweet and balanced both the mango's flavor and yogurt's tang with some subtle spices (I think turmeric). The naan was perfectly flaky and crisp, genuinely the perfect bread accompaniment. The rice was seasoned too, which gave it its own flavor (not a filler like it is at other places) Hands down the best Indian food I've ever had and one of the best meals I've ever had in general. I'll be coming back soon!

I think I need to come try more dishes before I really decide but I came here last night and ordered take out. The bread was really good. We had the garlic naan and the gobi paratha and both were really tasty. The veggie samosa was good. However the Bhindi masala and the Aloo Gobhi were just ok. I would like to try some other dishes. Also they had a fish that was called potato fingers and I only ordered it because I pictured something else and it turned out to be french fries! My photos unfortunately are not the best as it was takeout and not plated there. The place is a small hole in the wall but there had a few people and the enclosed area outside was warm and dry.

Such great Indian cuisine! This is a go-to spot for takeout. In restaurant dining is awesome too in the quaint space. Outdoor seating also for the summer months. Great customer service! Butter Chicken and Tikka Masala are the usual orders. Garlic naan is a must and don't pass on the veggie samosas with the mint chutney!

The outdoor enclosure is toasty and warm despite the cool damp weather outside

This place needs better signage, but has great food and nice staff. Even after following my maps directions from my phone, I wasn't sure I was at the right place until I walked around the building. I walked into the enclosed outside area which had heaters on the ceiling, making it toasty and warm despite the outside damp coolness. I approached the register and was handed menus and told to sit wherever I'd like, so I seated myself under one of the heaters to get warm. I decided to have the saag paneer and some garlic naan along with a masala chai tea. (Only the chai tea was actually on the menu, but other tips and reviews had mentioned how good the saag paneer and garlic naan were) A huge carafe of water came out first followed by silverware and napkins, and my chai tea. Soon after, the saag paneer and accompanying Rice was brought. The garlic came in a basket a few minutes later. Everything looked and smelled delicious, and it was. I could've used a little bit of salt, but I like a lot of salt, so most people would not need it. The chai tea was perfect, warm and sweet. The garlic naan was crisp yet still fluffyand well seasoned. The saag was creamy and delicious. After eating, I decided to try the Kheer for dessert and it was also wonderful.

Reviewing the menu, there were lots of yummy things to choose from but ultimately we both could not resist the Lamb shank. I'm sad I didn't take a picture of it. It was so tender and delicious. It came with perfect Basmati rice and a side of eggplant stew that was exquisite! I've never had eggplant stew and it was luscious. I dream to about it all night long. It was quiet, comfortable, music was great; songs we all know but with native instruments and flare. We had house red wine - not a big selection of alcohol, which is fine the food is and should be the star.
