Everything here is made from scratch... every bite is like getting wrapped in a warm hug. Have had some of their savory pies previously which were amazing. Today, we tried their breakfast sandwich on homemade English muffins (amazing). They use real eggs, cheese and the bacon has a nice crisp. Cute interior design with a few spots to enjoy it if you're dining in. The food came out quick and was such a good breakfast treat. Highly recommend for savory OR sweet. Whatever you're in the mood for, they got you covered.

Bourbon Peach (summer seasonal) a'la mode :)

My partner and I wanted dessert after dinner on one Friday night during late summer and thanks to a Yelp search, we found The Pie Spot! Quick take: * Adorable location and space * Great selection of flavors-- seasonal and staples * Super cute-as-a-button and delish personal mini pie size * Sweet AND savory pie options * Meal options and coffee drinks * Fabulously friendly and fun shop folk * A little on the spendy side $6 per mini pie (about the size of a standard cupcake) Full disclosure: I'm not a pie aficionado. I prefer cakes and cookies over pie but I'm here to tell you these little pies are a delight! They are just the right amount of indulgence and have a wonderful pie filling to crust ratio. I had a hard time deciding for someone who doesn't absolutely love pie so, I chose the seasonal bourbon peach AND a classic pecan to split with my lobster. He chose a classic cherry. All three pies were fabulous! The service was warm, super friendly, and fun. It's a welcoming and comfortable space and it just feels like if you go a few times, it's going to be like Cheers. Again, while I'm not the pie connoisseur of our family, I would be happy to return and check out the autumnal and winter pie choices and enjoy the welcoming vibes.

Banana cream, chocolate peanut butter and corn

Absolutely, incredible. My mother makes amazing pies, and even she said, this was one of the best she's ever had. For a recent birthday, we got a whole banana cream. A mountain of whip, drizzle of salted caramel and the custard is so fresh and tasty. Crust on all pies is thick, flaky and buttery. Chocolate peanut butter, also got a whole, is what a dark chocolate peanut butter cup could only aspire to be. Sinful, in a good way. Though, I believe $32 or so for each may seem steep, but we found that the 9 inch could easily feed 10 people, and with the quality, I'd say a bargain. A real seasonal star is also their sweet corn pie. Totally unique with that fresh corn milk flavor, piled high with cream and a little seasoning dust on top. Outstanding! I would totally buy that they are shucking corn back there. The people are spectacular, and the shop couldn't be cuter. Why eat cake, when there's pie.

THE BIG: Breakfast and small pie shop located in the Laurelhurst neighborhood of Portland. Small space but there's a table if you want to dine in. Street parking available. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here with a few friends on a Monday morning hungry for some food. It's attached to bagel shop that equally smelled amazing. For food, we got 2 breakfast sandwiches and a chocolate hazelnut pie. The breakfast sandwich resembled a egg mcmuffin from mcdonalds but damn was it delicious. The hazelnut pie was a cute lil thang and it resembled more of a pecan pie texture and flavor. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall we spent around $26 for the three items. Delicious breakfast treat and I'd say a must try if you're ever in this area of Portland.

I love the Pie Spot! My go-to's are the pie crust cinnamon roll & the breakfast sandwich. The Pie Spot take on the cinnamon roll is just pure flaky goodness, and something you can only get here! I love the breakfast sandwich because they actually make their own English muffins, really fluffy & fresh. You can add protein but I stick with the classic egg & cheese. The Hank's sauce gives the sandwich a nice little zing! The other thing I appreciate about this location is the space itself. It's on the smaller side but very cozy, there's always some cool art on the walls & I love that they take the time to put fresh flowers out on all the tables! The staff is always very kind & welcoming.

Ordered: -Strawberry cheesecake -Banana cream pie Pro: -They standout for us was the strawberry cheesecake. It has a subtle strawberry yogurt taste with fresh strawberries embedded. The cream on top was just the right amount, very fluffy, light, and not too sweet. -Every bite has just enough crust! -Plenty of options to choose from & a one person's serving vs a standard pie size so you can try more than one and not feel guilty! -Good packaging that holds your mini pie in place. Perfect for take-out! -Cute shop with some indoor seating

I get the hype about why everyone raves about this place having the best breakfast sandwich in PDX, despite their name highlighting the pies. It's the best one I've had in my life! The English muffin they apparently make in-house is so, so soft. Whatever sauce they put inside is like crack. The pies are delicious too, I only tasted the s'mores one so far and the chocolate filling inside is very rich, and they top it off with plenty of gooey marshmallow. Service is really nice, you order and pay up front and they bring out your food to you. The inside is filled with artwork that was lovely to look at! It's a bright and colorful interior, and the garage door opens up the inside space beautifully to still get some fresh air in.

    Mushroom Gruyere Pot Pie
    Jan C.

I got the mushroom pot pie which was so delicious and well seasoned. It came with big chunks of mushroom which I loved. The crust was flaky and it was everything I could want! My friends each got breakfast sandwiches and they loved theirs. You can customize it with the add-on options like bacon and spam. I also had the lemon curd pie which was tasty, and everyone liked their drinks. The folks working the counter were so nice. There's WiFi and tables to work at, with fresh flowers in vases. There's also some patio seating and at least today the "garage door" type thing was open so it was an indoor-outdoor experience. Really nice with the warmer weather.

Such a cool, cute and tasty place for pie! It was so fun to go inside and check out the building. Outside there is a painted flamingo mural which I loved so much! Inside is decorated with more works of are and the colors and decor were fun too! The main attraction is all the lies of course. From sweet to savory they have something to satisfy your sweet tooth and soul! We enjoyed some chicken pot pies, cheeseburger hand pie and lots of little sweet pies and cookies. It was amazing. Each pie was special and so delicious. Highly recommend! The ladies who helped take our order and served us were lovely.

Cherry (one with the star), apple (bottom one), and chocolate hazelnut mini pies

Loved this place, will definitely go back! The workers there were very sweet and friendly. The place was nice and cozy feeling. Clean workspace. They had so many options. They even had options that weren't listed online like the apple mini pie I got. They had a few orders they were taking care of while I was deciding on my order. Which means their desserts were popular and I was excited to try them. I bought 3 mini pies (cherry, apple, and chocolate hazelnut) for my dad's birthday. The packaging was cute and so were the designs for the desserts. Looked very appealing. Perfect for gift giving. I was afraid the pies would be mostly crust but it was actually pretty thin and had plenty of filling and flavor. Perfect and appropriate sweetness to each of them. I bought the desserts early afternoon and didn't actually eat them til after dinner and they were still scrumptious. Can't imagine how good it would be fresh out the oven. My parents loved them too! The mini pies were perfect size for one person each. Definitely want to try out more on their menu :)

    Breakfast Sandwich
    Quinn A.

Best breakfast sandwich in Portland hands down. I love the sauce that comes on the sandwich and the American cheese is perfect. The fresh baked English muffins are the star of the show though. There really is no better breakfast sandwich in town and it's in such a lovely area as well. Parking around the area can be hard to find but just be persistent and you will find it. Make sure you also try their baked goods as they are very delectable!!

Whether savory or sweet is your preference, The Pie Spot is your place for either or all. On top of incredible pies, they have amazing breakfast sandwiches. The English Muffin is unique and crispy, filled with perfectly scrambled eggs, cheese, and special sauce. The price is on point and more than reasonable for what you walk away with, a full belly and heart. We got a mushroom and gruyere pie to go. Heated it up at home and it was perfection. The crust, perfectly crisped and flaky, filled with tasty mushrooms and cheesy sauce. This was so good that I will be stopping by to pick one up to bring back home to LA where we actually have the amazing Pie Hole, it just isn't the Pie Spot. Great service, great food, and great memories that keep me longing for more.

Durian cheesecake!!!! I am Vietnamese-Cambodian and durian is my jam. I love its pungent goodness in all forms -- pure and un-doctored straight from the prickly shell, ice cream, smoothie, topping on mashed avocado dessert and now.. CHEESECAKE! ohhh my goodness. My heart. I have returned so many times and buying extra slices (possibly buying out her supply for the week...) to share with my family and friends, who have all raved about the cheesecake from here. Durian isn't her only flavor though. She has so many creative flavors and I've noticed she's had comfort flavors from different cultures. To top it off, the owner, Kiana, is a wonderful lady. She is a one woman team and is kicking butt at her game from what I've gathered in the short time I've known her. She could be dead tired, but always has a smile on her face. I almost forgot to rave about her TARO BURGER on a vegan bun. I don't know how frequently she makes them, but if you see it being offered, do yourself a favor and get it. The portion is quite large so be prepared for leftovers. Unfortunately for me, my carnivorous sister gobbled the other portion of my burger right up and didn't even miss her meat. It comes with a vegan mac salad on the side. I am not one to enjoy mac salads usually, I think it's due to the mayo (not a mayo fan), but I actually liked this version. I forgot to take a picture of the burger before it all got inhaled. Sad face.

I wasn't even sure I was at the right place, thought they were still transitioning from one location to another. Until someone who shared the kitchen popped out. I was told that I should order online and come by for pick up, and was strongly urged to do so because these cheesecakes were really good. When I saw that they were doing a contactless store front, I knew I had to go. This was my opportunity to try it. I texted the owner to ask if the flavor I had my eye on was available. I was halfway there before the owner responded that they had one slice of pandan cheesecake left. There are multiple forms of payment with a card reader, and various apps to pay with online which made this a breeze. The owner Kiana, even popped to introduce herself which I thought was so nice! The flavors here aren't your typical strawberry, chocolate, peanut butter cheesecakes, even though she does offer some variation of them. There's pandan, ube, lemongrass, ginger mango, passionfruit, matcha, guava, pineapple raspberry, and I heard she even cooks up something with the pickle brine from the other business that operates in that kitchen. I thought this would be one of those situations where the food won't look like the picture. The pictures are obviously styled, they look stunning. Nope! The food looked just like what was on Instagram. I am a long time lover of cheesecake, dare I say it's my favorite of the cakes. The condensed milk ube mirror glaze was a lot thicker than I thought it would be and held its form. It wasn't runny and goopy. Loved that it wasn't a sticky mess. The crust was very very thick, I've always wanted more crust on other cheesecakes. On the description, it says it's "jasmine scented almond shortbread cookie crust" slightly saltier than most crusts I've had, but still very enjoyable. I've only had the traditional graham cracker crust and I'm afraid this almond shortbread crust has ruined all other cheesecake crusts for me. I have been disappointed at a lot of places using pandan, because the flavor just wasn't there, not Muse cheesecakes though. Pandan was present indeed. I would have loved if it was a little stronger, but I think that would have overpowered the cheesecake. Each component of the cheesecake are so different and complex on its own. They come together in delicious harmony to make this beautiful slice. I grew up with a lot of Vietnamese food and pandan has a very special place in my stomach.. heart! I've never seen jasmine used outside of tea and condensed milk outside of Vietnamese iced coffee. Kiana definitely has a way with these ingredients and she's a cheesecake goddess! I really can't wait to try the calamansi, Ube, and whatever else is getting cooked up in this delicious kitchen.
