Roasted potatoes - they were hot and seemingly freshly roasted.

Cartopia is the epitome of Portland. If you wanna feel that hipster, tattooed, weird Portland vibe... Cartopia has your back! No judgement... I'm the weirdo that is tatted and pierced like the rest of us! First cart we noticed was beer and BBQ... smelled amazing. We saw a little bit of everything. Fries, pizza, Pad Thai, Gyro, and tacos. It has a decent variety if you're taking a couple friends. We unfortunately came on an extra cool and rainy day. It's nice if you're snuggled up to a fire pit but the other tables not near fire are pretty chilly and you're probably going to get rained on. NOTE: There are NO BATHROOMS here. They have the Honey Buckets in the back corner which felt kinda gross with two food carts right next door. How exactly do they empty the Honey Buckets that close to food? Hmmm. No reason to let that impact the overall 5-star rating... maybe better planning next time? We'll likely go back if we're in the neighborhood. It was decent.

We really enjoyed the nice warm fire pits. Also the Portland craft sodas are awesome! They are part of the pizza joint which was also really good! I highly recommend the pizza spot and the potato fries truck. Service was great at both places. This place is great for groups and it felt peaceful. I would definitely come back

Came here for a snackie. We got pulled pork fries from the potato cart to share. The sauce on it is different. Good different. The pork was nice and tender. Decent amount of pork too! Service was good. Friendly. I wish they had more carts here. But it was clean and ample of seating. So that was nice.

This is the bomb food cart pod for sure. Everything we had was great. We had garlic bread from the pizza place, pad thai, poutine, a gyro, tempura cauliflower, bbq chicken... And it was all good. Definitely liked the craft sodas at the pizza place too. Something for everyone, and we had a killer sampler table.

Love, love, love the variety of food carts available for families with young picky eaters and adults with more adventurous taste buds. The satay chicken pad Thai was the best I ever had. We also enjoyed the comforting poutine, margarita pizza, and roasted quarter chicken with chimichurri sauce. Perfect stop for lunch if you're visiting OMSI.

So glad we decided to have lunch here. Great options and lots of seating. The food was really good, we got stuff from a chicken place, fries cart, and a taco cart. Everything was delicious!

This is my favorite food pod in Portland. I'm sure there are others I haven't tried, but this is a whole vibe that makes me want to hang out here I love all the food here but the chicken and the burgers are my favorite. I feel like it's the right amount of good choices but not overwhelming.

I ordered asada burrito, fish taco and a horchata

I'm not from here we stopped by on our way to Washington. This little spot has about 8 carts and sitting area in the middle. I'm sure all the food here is great. But we couldn't try everything. Great experience here. We sat in front of Chicken and Guns they were hilarious. Stop by if you want to experience different variety of food.

Beautiful rainy day to sit by the fire with a local draft! Plop down and enjoy the scenery and delicious food options! Obviously there is a reason why this is on the "must go to" list when visiting Portland!

I love food adventures in Portland and discovering all the different types of food cart/stalls. Cartopia offers different varieties of cart vendors from American to Egyptian to Thai & Mexican. We had food from the Egyptian cart and loved loved the food! The lamb was nice and tender. The moussaka was awesome. I wished I had ordered extra to take back home during the road trip to Sacramento. My gf had the watermelon slushie. It was refreshing for the summer. I'm already missing it and hope to return.

What an experience you have to try it one and you will be hooked! The Gyro was the best I have ever had. Get it spicy. I got it extra spicy

During our trip to Portland.. we fell in love with all these food cart pods that were everywhere in the city! We loved this spot with their variety and seating availability with fire pits and benches in tents to stay away from the rain. We had: - fennel sausage pizza - from the pizza place. Loooooved their dough and all the toppings all worked together so well. Delicious pizza. - falafel supreme wrap - from the Mediterranean place.. this wrap was one of THE BEST thing I ate in Portland. It was super flavorful and fresh with eggplant, tahini, falafel, hummus, veggies, etc... Omg so good! - orange chicken shawarma - really good flavorful chicken shawarma on a bed of basmati rice served with salad and dolmas.. - palak paneer fries - from the fries place.. OMG this one was really good too! Perfectly fried fries topped with curried spinach, paneer cheese, & cilantro chutney.. mm mmm mmmm :)'''' There were also burgers, Mexican with regular and vegan options, Thai food, wood fired chicken.. Parking: was a bit sketchy and hard to find. Street parking available around.. it took us a while to get one. MmMmm... *burp*

Super great selection of food carts with a nice central seating area with fire pits for when it's cold! My boyfriend got a burrito and I got a falafel wrap and they were both awesome. We will go back!

The places only have about ten carts, foods is just okay, nothing special. We ordered pad Thai noodles, just little on sweet side.

Ask the Community - Cartopia Food Carts

Does this place close at 10 or 11? Google says 10pm, Yelp says midnight, and then Cartopias Instagram says 11pm.. which one is it?

Ha! It all depends. Came here on a usual Monday (not a long weekend kind of Monday) at 7pm and all except 3 food trucks were closed. Don't believe what their Instagram says

Is Cartopia open on 4th of July?

    Is this place pet friendly?

    Yes

    Is there a beer garden?

There isn’t a “Beer Garden” but the Bottle Rocket cart sells beer and wine.

Didn't try anything but the Tako Yaki and it was legit Osaka style very tasty good size chunks of Takonand Bonita flakes on top?

I had pad thai from the thai place, pizza from pyro, paneer fries from potato champion, and beers to go with it all.

It had a panko crust which sometimes I prefer to batter. They were a little bit salty for my taste but ever since I got COVID lots of things have tasted salty so take that with a grain of salt I'm not a tartar sauce guy but this is some great sauce. I feel like later I got a piece of tarragon(?) out of my teeth and reminded me of the herby yummy sauce. I scoffed at first at the chips. Very non uniformly cut but surprisingly all well cooked. I don't know if it's they type of potato but the skin was really off putting. But solid toothsome chips that a splash of vinegar helps a lot. If I end up in a similar position again I'll definitely consider coming back.

I came after a review I read on Eater for FoPo area eats. I'm not a huge fried food fan but this place was good. I got the Steelhead trout fish and chips. Wait was ok they give you a buzzer so you can stroll around the food court. Took about 10 mins not bad. The locally sourced steelhead was a delicious surprise. Tender, juicy fish with crispy breading. Good seasoning. Fries were thicker so not as crispy but still hearty. 3 medium sized pieces of fish. They included ketchup for the fries as well as malt vinegar and tartar sauce for authentic fish dip. Wedge of lemon, too! All in a earth-friendly cardboard box. They take credit just fine. Very convenient location at Carts on Foster just down the street from where I was staying. So I walked back and enjoyed there. If you're staying you could probably cruise over to any local breweries or the bar cart for a beer to complement the fried food. Good time!!!
