I am remiss for not posting after our last visit in September 2020. Michael and Tiffany are as top notch as their beautiful jewelry and store. We are long time out-of-town customers and wear the pieces we have purchased often. My last purchase was Michael's design/handcrafted destination bracelet which I rarely remove. Basically I add other jewelry pieces along with the hand hammered cuff enhanced the magnolia tree and quarter moon. I enjoy every piece I've purchased (including my guy's bracelet). We both are complimented on the quality and uniqueness which is another reason we continue adding to buy from Michael and Tiffany. We have rarely needed to have any repairs but when necessary the quality of the repair and the fair price makes it worth waiting to go to this family owned business. read more

This is a tiny jewelry store that sells Southern Gate ornamental jewelry. If you have walked around Charleston, you know that the ornamental ironwork forges folk art into balconies and gates. Giving this 4 because I am a little disappointed with the store hours. We had plans to visit this store during the day and it was pouring rain and windy- so we decided to go before we left town on Monday. I called Sunday and they said they would be open 11-6. We wanted to get on the road super early because we need to get home before the ice on the roads froze up north. We waited around until 11:30 went over at 11:37 and they were still closed. This is a tiny store front, the only way to find it, is to stroll upon it accidently or know exactly where it is. My mother wanted me to go there and find out the name because she bought a ring from them and loved it, so she told me it was a jewelry store near T-Bonz. I almost missed it, I called her and asked was it like a real jewelry store? I was thinking a specialty shop for some reason, anyway, I went in there for my ma and fell in love with the pieces. So original, he designs earrings, braclets, pendants and rings after gate and balcony designs on the homes around Charleston. So clever and affordable. I couldn't believe how reasonable everything was. I better keep my mouth shut, so they will stay reasonable. I bought a pair of earrings for $35. Nice little shop on Market St, across from the Market Place, where they have very reasonable prices on jewelry. We found a very nice pendant/earring set for the wife here. The jewelry is unique and original (trust me, we checked ALL the other jewelry shops in Charleston, so I know). I think next time in Charleston my wife will want more jewelry from here. read more

I don't even know where to begin in expressing my gratitude and complete appreciation for the people at Dacuba's. I am embarrassed that I did not catch names but I do believe my experience may allow for a slight shift in my usual manner. My grandmother's ring, that I wear every single day, became cracked some time back and when I went to slip it off to try on a ring, it pinched my finger to the point of instant bruising and bleeding. The lovely gentleman here jumped in quickly and cut the ring away for me, therefore, releasing the pressure instantly. What a true blessing! I bought two very beautiful pieces that mean more to me than I could ever express and was more than pleased with the amazing prices. I will definitely stop in EVERY time we are in Charleston. I do know that I will be back soon...with such awesome and fantastic guest service, I am looking forward to bringing my grandmother's ring in for repair. I feel as though I have found a jeweler I am able to trust. I live in Nashville, but visit Charleston each year. Dacuba's is a 'must stop' when walking the market. Also, great customer service. My baby got hold of my favorite necklace from there & broke a charm off of it. We took it into the store the day before we left Charleston, told them the situation (expecting to have it shipped home) and it was done in less than 2 hours! Love the line of Southern Gates jewlery that they carry there. And the rice bracelets and necklaces to go along with the charms are simple but beautiful. I wear my bracelet everyday and have had it for three years. My large pendant has become my signature piece. I bought my daughter a pearl southern gate bracelet last year which broke and they replaced it immediately. Customer service like that is hard to find! read more
