What an amazing space! Amazing food also. Live music! A special place just down from the airport.

If you need to kill time there's also a major mall across the parking lot. The District is attached to a restaurant (Roam). The restaurant has modern decor and is a fun environment. I wouldn't sing praises for the food, but it's a solid option when catching a show. The District is basically a mid size open box building with a stage at the front. We were on the rail so we could see perfectly. I have no complaint about acoustics within the building. There's a "U" shaped balcony above the concert floor. If you're on the balcony rail you would be able to see the show with no difficulty at all. My guess is the venue comfortable capacity is about 1,000 people. We only had water during our show, but I was incredibly impressed that a bottle of water only cost $2. I've been to similar venues in Milwaukee and Chicago and generally pay upwards of $5 just for a water. All in all The District is a nice midsize event venue Sioux Falls should be proud to call their own.

Even the young man who went for a spoon because my granddaughter only eats Mac n' cheese with a spoon. Even clean up was so smooth we hardly noticed. Also everyone raved about the food! The experience here left me underwhelmed. I have been looking forward to coming to Parker's bistro…read morefor quite a while, my friend and I stopped for a couple appetizers while feeling a little peckish. We got the Chislic, and the cheese plate. The cheese plate was pretty disappointing, the cheese looked like it had sat out all day. No major flavor profiles, a basket of basic crackers to go along with it and olives. For the cost of a cheese plate I expected to be relatively satisfied with it. No fruits, jams, breads, spreadables (1). The fluidity of the dish was very stale, as well as the freshness. The Chislic is some of the best that I've had, having travelled far and wide, I can say without a doubt this is so far my favorite out of 18 countries and hundreds of restaurants. Our waitress seemed incredibly green, didn't seem familiar with the menu, upon checkout, added an erroneous item to our check, which I would've missed had I not gone over it, overall, I was disappointed in the visit that I had at Parker's bistro. I had had high hopes for my first visit, and was hoping for this to be a new favorite restaurant downtown. Wonderful ambience, absolutely stunning Chislic, great drinks, and warm staff regardless.

I need to ask more questions when ordering. I just can't bring myself to eat rare (raw) duck. An interesting menu I would call French possibly. You'll need to end your meal with an Americano and in home dessert. Most of the waitstaff are friendly and helpful. Don't forget to stop at Parker's cocktail bar, (Myrtles), next door for a night cap. Craft cocktails in a pretty space.

The house salad had one of the best blue cheese dressings I ever had. The cheesy tortilla soup, outstanding. We ordered fish tacos and the classic cheeseburger as the main course. The plan was to share the entrees halfway through. When it came time to share we each were reluctant. We figured the other dish couldn't be nearly as good as what we had. We were wrong both were excellent. We are traveling so we don't know if we will ever be back. If you live in Sioux Falls you need to try Granite City Brewery.

Today was no different. The pasta meal was very dry and the wrap...YIKES!!! I understand anything "buffalo" is going to be spicy but this was over and above. A side of ranch or Bleu cheese would have helped. We would have asked our server for some but she was no where to be seen. In fact, we were pretty much done with our meal before she came back to check on us. By then it was too late. Had they been busy, this could have been better understood but there were only 4 other tables seated and other servers were working It's safe to say this will be our last time eating there.
