My carney asade loaded fries we're good, but I would suggest not putting as much sauce on them. Although very tasty. The 99 cent wings on Wednesday are a great deal. They are big and tasted good. We're a group of flight attendants here on a layover and found out it was burger fest. We decided to give Wiley's a chance and it did not disappoint! We tried the pickle smash burger and it was definitely in the top 5 burgers I've ever had. Happy hour was a great deal, vibes were right, and the service was amazing! Everything was fine. Place was dead on a Saturday afternoon while a ton of sports games were playing, I was a little shocked by that. Maybe more of a club at night. I loved doing Latin Vibes Night on Thursdays at 8pm. The DJ was good and the people are friendly.

We went during happy hour to have burgers and beer and the burgers were very good and the prices are reasonable. The one thing that got us was that happy hour includes domestic beer but leinenkugels summer shandy was not included in this which makes no sense since it is a domestic. The service was very good and the restaurant/bar is very spacious and has a nice outside area. read more

Another stop on the battle of the burger. The appeal of the gravy and waffles is what drew us here. The cornbread waffles were nice but seemed short in flavor. The gravy and egg were nicely done and a runny egg you can't complain. The burger is what dropped the stars. It was like chewing rubber with a boat load of pepper. I'm very surprised this place has three stars overall, but I am also currently a happy drunk. But you know what else, Yelp always tells me to review things while they are fresh in my mind, haha! Well, this is my first time in Sioux Falls and I am staying at the Holiday Inn (bar closes at midnight) so decided to check this place out since it is a five minute walk and closes at 2AM! I really love the feel of this place! Came here on a Tuesday night and it was not busy. It's also a pretty huge place! I was pleasantly surprised. Food stops at 10pm, last call is about 1:45 and the bartender gets fined if you don't get the f out by 2. So get the f out. I hope I can say that on yelp. I was shocked that I paid $15 for a round for me and my two friends. Y'all draft beer, a margarita, and an old fashioned - $15 WHAAAAAT?! Currently living in Denver and would never pay that at a bar there... or anywhere else I've been really. Amazing. There was also some Tuesday special, my friend bought the round about one hour later and it only cost him $11! Now that is crazy. Super friendly bartender! So the only thing I don't like is I had a hard time finding the bathroom. Women's is labeled "L" instead of W and also there are SO MANY doors in the hall to the bathroom! Really disappointed on our first visit. Just completed the Court House museum visit and we're very thirsty. Several had recommended Wiley's (they open at 3pm). We get there about 3:15. Apparently, there was some meeting going on as no one came to help us. Finally, a bartender got us our drinks and we were very happy. Wiley's is a good time. The bar is very large and has a dance floor, dj booth and stage. There is a smoking area outside the main bar that has a fully stocked and staffed bar. There is a full menu for food and the staff was really friendly. They offer live bands and karaoke amongst other events. The drink specials are great. 2 for 1's happy hour specials all kinds of great promotions that are different every day. read more

Wiley's is a relatively new establishment, which is surprising, because it has the look and feel of a place that has been around forever. Original brick walls and high ceilings in an old downtown building give it a unique, yet relaxed and comfortable feel. The laid back atmosphere lends itself toward patrons with a similar attitude. They have always seemed to be an easygoing and fun-loving group. I wouldn't say that Wiley's is dead on weeknights, but they definitely aren't full. Hardly surprising, since I haven't been to a bar in Sioux Falls yet that has been busy on a weeknight, but there it is. Weekends are a different story, though. They've had good crowds on the Friday nights we've gone. It's busy enough that you may have to wait a bit to find a spot to sit, but not so full that you can't move around. It's actually about the right amount. As far as selection goes, I've seen better and I've seen worse. They have Boulevard Wheat on tap, so I'm generally happy. The service has been adequate, if not spectacular. The bartenders have been friendly and efficient, and the wait staff somewhat less so. Prices seem to be pretty standard across the board, except for weekdays from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. That's when its twofers. Twofers. Are. Awesome. It's like half price, but it forces you to have two of whatever you are getting. Trust me, that's a good thing. My only, very minor, complaint is the music tends to be a bit louder than I would want. This is just a personal preference, though, as the levels are about what you would expect. The have a couple pool tables that are almost always in use, karaoke on Thursdays (I'm pretty sure), and the occasional live band. Also, the sweetest bar bathroom I've ever visited. That counts for a lot when you are making multiple trips. All in all, Wiley's Tavern is a well rounded, enjoyable bar. read more

$1 drinks til 10pm, $2 drinks after that. Unheard of in Atlanta. That's what brought us into Wiley's one Thursday night, and I'm glad we went, if nothing but for the people watching. However, I wish they would have clarified that $1-2 drinks goes for ANY drink, not just well liquor. I was drinking wells all night because I thought that was all the special was good for. Boyfriend drank better stuff (by comparison), and the receipt showed everything was the same price when we closed out at the end of the evening. That information would have made the following morning a little more pleasant. All the drinks were made well, and service was good: prompt and the server knew most of our drink choices. They didn't have dark rum that night, so I couldn't get a Rum Runner. They had a DJ and dancing, where I saw a lot of people in workout clothes (also unheard of in parts of Atlanta, where people spend hours getting dolled up to go out). It made me feel like I was in the locals only place, where people grab a late night beer with friends. We grabbed a seat and just people watched all night. They have pool tables and darts in the back. You have to pay to use them though. $1/pool game, can't say how much darts are. Can't speak to how the food is because we didn't' order any. read more

Wiley's goes into the dive bar category for me. Some nights its bursting at the seems and no where to stand. Most Friday and Saturday nights after 9pm its 25yr olds or less who fill the dance floors.The wait in the bathroom can be a while if you're male or female. read more

Was warned by the hotel clerk that Wiley's could get rowdy but it was the closest place from the hotel and we could meet the locals. At first the bartenders seemed stand-offish but gradually warmed up and actually became very friendly. I was impressed that they had 2 Boulevard beers on tap, including Early Riser that I never see on tap even in Kansas City. The prices were incredibly cheap. We started with 2 for 1 and then after an hour of full price everything goes to $1. I certainly can see how things can get rowdy with that pricing structure. Having been my first time in Sioux Falls, Wiley's $1 drink special was a nice introduction to the city. It seems as though this is one of the major spots downtown, so it was pretty crowded around the bar area and dance floor, but there was a nice opening back by the darts and pool tables. My friends and I had such good service with our waitress (I want to say her name was Melissa, but I think I'm wrong), and we hardly ever had to go up to the bar ourselves. My only issue was the lack of late-night food - not only at Wiley's, but in the downtown area as a whole. Wiley's wasn't serving food until midnight, like regular bars in Minneapolis do, and I didn't see this popcorn that other reviews mention. Being someone who is easily hangry, this did not bode well. Here's a plus to the aforementioned foodlessness: apparently at bar close (I didn't stick around for it), there are food carts lined up down Main for your drunchie pleasure. If I make it back, I'll be sure to check it out. Until then, check out $1 drinks at Wiley's downtown. Come full, and you'll stay happy. read more

As a neighbor next door I've been to Wiley's quite a few times. I really like this bar and outside of Buck's (which I despise for various reasons) is probably the most popular bar in Sioux Falls at the moment. For as busy as they often are Thursday - Saturday they do the best job they can for service. The set up of the bar helps cater to efficient service. They have a full bar and great drink specials. Thursdays are $1 drinks from 8-10 and $2 drinks from 10-12. Fridays they have $10 fishbowls. Monday nights they have 1/2 price off appetizers and $5 pitchers. The food isn't amazing but definitely hits the spot for just being bar food. The nachos are pretty good. In addition they often have live entertainment with bands, and if not they almost always have a live DJ. If looking for a fun night out with good specials I highly suggest heading downtown and checking it out. read more

Was in Wileys last night sitting near the exit. At just about closing time I see a guy about 5'8' walking to the door talking to a bouncer. All of a sudden there were 4 huge dudes tackling the small guy and cuffing him. The small guy was not yelling or making a scene. Apparently you can't talk to bouncers are Wileys, if you do you'll be gang tackled by their bouncer squad. I usually come here when I am in Sioux Falls on business. On a quick weekend trip to Sioux Falls, stopped in here to watch our Ohio football teams play. Great selection of beers on tap, and the burgers were fantastic! With several options to customize your meal (e.g. beef, chicken or bison, change up the cheeses, etc), there are plenty of options. The bison chili was delicious on top of a grilled chicken breast with smoked gouda cheese. And let's not forget the sweet potato fries, thin and super crispy, seasoned perfectly. Lol where do I even start with this place? Every time I've gone here, it's been a Friday or Saturday night past 12am. I've been asked to have a threesome with two 40 year old women, my boss (yes, my authoritative figure) got us kicked out of here on my bachelorette party night for going in the men's bathroom, I've almost died from secondhand smoke in the back room, I've danced with a girl in a wheelchair who insisted I give her a lap dance, and I've almost gotten punched in the face because I bumped someone who was playing pool. It was a Monday night and I put $20 bucks into the jukebox and played a bunch of songs, Phoenix, The Strokes, Replacements, and generally critically acclaimed music. One by one my songs were skipped and when I asked the bartender he told me they skipped music that wasn't top 40.
