Been using them for years and they have never disappoint me. Woke up Monday morning at 7 am to find my A/C had stopped working. When a guy we hired to fix our somewhat problematic washer turned it totally non-functional, I decided to turn to my trust-worthy Yelp to find rescue. Service is good, we called late afternoon and call was returned the next morning. They came by to take a look and back the next day with parts, both time arriving well within the two-hour window they specified, with a heads-up call before hand. Price is reasonable and the $70 consultation fee is deducted from the final repair bill. The only reason I'm not giving it a five is that, after the repair guy left, we found that the washer was rather noisy. Hubby had to adjust the "legs" with a level. It's not something we've asked them to do, but if they had taken the time to do that, to make everything perfect, then it would be an awesome five-star service. read more

I would be extremely cautious of using this company. They are not reliable, extremely unprofessional, and over charge for service and labor. The worst is that they wrote my credit card number, exp date, and 3 digit code on the invoice...who does this!!?!?!! To top it off, they handed that same invoice to the person that bought my refrigerator, whom I was paying repairs for. So now I have to be inconvenienced and call the bank to cancel my card bc my credit card information is floating around. Unbelievable and UNACCEPTABLE!!! I have to add my voice to the developing chorus of raves for this local repair company. This morning, while finishing up some laundry, our dryer let out a bang, and then its running got significantly quieter. It turned out that the drum had stopped spinning...Damn! After a brief and feeble attempt at figuring out what was wrong, I quickly concluded that I was beyond my depth and turned to Yelp for a decent alternative. Seeing Adriana and Jen's rave reviews for Dade Appliance, I immediately gave them a call. The operator quickly gathered my information and told me she call back as soon as she knew she had a technician available. In less than an hour (I'd barely been at work for about 30 minutes), she called saying she had a tech headed to my place. Back home I went, where I met Tony fairly promptly. He immediately figured out that the belt had snapped, had gotten a replacement from his van, and was swapping the busted one out. But while doing this, he also - Found a shoddy part inside the dryer, and offered to replace it for a very reasonable price (it was a cheap pulley that clearly contributed to the wearing down and eventual breaking of the belt). - He also helped me replace the terrible ductwork in the back of the unit that was trapping tons of lint and blocking the exhaust from the dryer, killing its efficiency. - Got underneath the whole washer/dryer unit and adjusted the feet, leveling the unit properly so that the washer drum could spin properly. Through all of this, I could tell that he felt a sense of responsibility for not wanting to leave me with a unit in bad working order, and wasn't trying to scam me into spending more money. And the final bill proved this out. The extras only cost me about $20 on top of the original work order of replacing the belt. These are honest and forthright people who I can fully recommend for any appliance or A/C problem you might have in your home. It's sad reflection on our society when finding a company like this feels like a major achievement, but regardless, I want to help spread the word. read more

I was about to give these guys the heave ho as far as customer response went but SOMETHING about Eschel and Jen R's reviews made me give them another chance and I'm glad I did. Turns out, between my crappy phone reception at the time of placing my service call and the extremely difficult to understand accent of the lady who takes the calls, my phone number had been taken down wrong. ///oooook laugh now you guys who know me and my accent and you will understand// Anyway. Once I called back, on a land line and got the numbers etc squared away, things went SUPER smoothly. The guy came and came BEFORE his scheduled time (he called me in advance though which was OK with me). He looked at my dryer, determined my heater thingy had blown, conveniently had a replacement in the van (course he had...I had given them the model number etc. and I knew that was the problem in advance...he wasn't a psychic dryer repair man...though that would be awesome). So the dude replaced my heating element thingy, AND...like Eschel said he did for him...he replaced the entire exhaust vent and cleaned out the entire back of the machine where there was probably years and years of accumulation from the prior house owners. I will definitely use these guys again, but i was a little put off by the lady answering the phone with the very strong accent but I will know for next time. read more

If I could give ZERO STARS to this "service" company, I WOULD. The guy that came to fix my AC ended up charging me $45 to replace two batteries on my AC unit panel. He said this $45 charge was at a 50% discount because they normally charge $90. The worst part? He had been here just a week prior to fix my entire AC unit. SO HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS COMING HERE TO DO. If I could give this company zero stars, I totally would. We first started using them almost 10 years ago when we first acquired our condo, although many times their service wasn't timely or the prices right. Nevertheless, we continued to trust their help and were too lazy to find someone better. They must have serviced us 10-15 times during the years without any major issue. Fast forward to now, having recently moved to another condo and undergoing the current situation of COVID-19 like everyone else. We are now renting, not owning, and called in last Friday because of an issue with our washer/dryer. We scheduled an appointment for the next available date, which later had to be postponed for lack of reply from our landlord as per our rental contract (with more than 24 hours notice to the company). We then later had to cancel the appointment altogether since our landlord did not approve of the company, unfortunately, and asked us to use another - which we did cancel verbally with Dade App as soon as we heard. That same day, our dryer blew out and flooded our apartment, at which point we decided to pay for the repair ourselves and called the company back, with a clear sense of urgency given the water running through our floor. Not only did they DENY servicing our unit, but the administrative representative, Susie, proceeded to call us back 5 more times (leaving 2 voicemails as well) to let us know how they would not be providing us services EVER again. I am not only very surprised from their denial of service, especially with a clear emergency and during a freaking pandemic, but frankly appalled and deeply bothered by the amount of phone calls we received and the arguments they kept trying to push down our throats as to why we had to find another company to work with moving forward. Honestly, I wouldn't dream of recommending this company to anyone else, unless you enjoy subpar service with a side of harassment. read more

working heat in your home is not something you usually have to worry about in south florida, but this winter (and by winter I mean the whole 3 weeks of actual cold we've had) has been a different story. last week, when temperatures dipped down into the 30's, I turned my heat on for the first time in the year that I've lived in my apartment. it triggered and started blowing air...but much to my dismay it only blew cool air. I was able to borrow a space heater to get me through that first night, and the next day I promptly came to yelp to ask for a recommendation. lucky for me, jen r. had used Dade Appliance Service before and suggested I give them a try. they sent someone out within 3-4 hours of my initial call, Willie the repair man, who was friendly and explained all about my heating system and what the problem was. he opened the thermostat, rerouted a couple of wires, and presto! there was heat! 5 minutes and only $65 later, I was ready for a comfortable night of sleep. the heat worked well and I was completely satisfied and ready to give Dade Appliance a good review....until the next night when my heat went on the fritz again. this time it kept turning on and off and on and off in quick succession with nothing at all coming out of the vents. it was late by that time so I knew it was gonna be another space heater night. I called Willie first thing the next morning and he was back over within 2 hours. he again explained exactly what went wrong (as a result of the heat never having been used), what it would take to fix it, and then patiently waited while I got approval to make the more costly repairs. while we waited, he went ahead and made the replacements necessary, just to make sure they would work once we had permission. Willie made sure everything was working, double checked all the new parts and explained everything to me so that there would be no questions. since then the heat has worked better then ever and I will not only call on Dade Appliance Service for any of my own appliance repair needs, but I will be sure to recommend them to anyone I know who might be in need of their services. friendly office and repair staff, very reasonable prices, prompt attention to their customers, and an attention to explaining and answering questions that is too often lacking. thank you Dade Appliance!! read more

ever since i became a home owner a few years ago i realized how important it is to have a legit, reliable, affordable appliance repair company. my dad told me about this company and ive been using them ever since. ive had my ice maker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and just this morning my microwave fixed with dade appliance. and they are great!! they always call me back within 24 hrs of the original call. and have always been to my house within the first 48 hrs of the original call. sometimes they have to go and diagnose the problem, then order parts or send you to buy a new one (if its not repairable) and then they come back to fix it or install the new one. so this morning i took proactive measures and had already bought a new over the range microwave just in case mine was totally dead!! but he was able to fix it!! something with the wiring and the fuse was broken. but point is, they didnt rip me off and install the new one which wouldve been triple the price for the service call. overall they are knowledgeable, responsible and honest which are important!! read more

Called them on a Saturday and they were here in 2 to 3 hours. I had to reach them on their mobile phone as the office was closed. The person who took my order advised me that there would be a $120 non refundable service charge which would be applied to the total cost of the repair if I chose to do it. The two technicians were professional and immediately found the faulty part after connecting some wires to a hand held "meter"?. Compressor and motor were working properly and their test showed the need of a new relay which they had in their car. They also brushed the dust off the bottom of the unit. They were in my place around 45 minutes tops. Upon starting the refrigerator, confirming that it worked, one of the technicians proceeded to call someone (I assume his boss) to relay his findings and the work done. After he hung up he presented me with an invoice for $199 which included $13 in local sales tax. I just called the office to inquire about the high cost. The courteous service rep mentioned that I should have questioned it before they did the work. I advised her that it was presented to me after the work had been performed. She found that odd as the technicians always get the consent from the customer before proceeding with the repair. Once the work was done it made no sense to tell them to remove the part since they would keep the $120. I always assumed the upfront cash should have just about cover the entire repair if it didn't involve major items like a compressor etc. After the usual back and forth I was told that the $120 was to cover their cost of doing business. The part was $66! Still feel it was exorbitant. Nice folks BUT you better get a breakdown of the costs before you invite them in, including hourly labor cost. read more

Ordered the wrong part and did not repair my washing machine after spending $141. That would have been fine if someone had apologized and promptly come to fix my machine. Instead i called on Monday and was told that someone would call ne promptly on Tuesday morning. By 11 am no call had been received and I called and was told someone would call me back. I was then told my appointment would be for 4 to 6 pm. When no one showed up OR called to let me know they were running late, i left an admittedly nasty message out of frustration saying I wanted a complete refund and would seek legal counsel if i did not receive it Well Vivian called me back very irate about how rude I was and that the repair man was on his way (yeah right) but was not coming now because my message hurt their feelings!!! My landlord called Dade Appliance to check my AC unit. They were able to get a technician out the same day but when he arrived, he could not speak any English. He could not communicate with the building security guard, he got in an argument with her, then got in his van and drove away. I called Dade Appliance to find out if they were sending someone else, but they said no. They didn't seem to think it's a big deal to have employees that don't speak any English and made no effort to have the technician return to the site where I agreed to meet him. My dryer was not getting hot so based in these reviews I decided to give them a try. The technician send to my home (Rupert or Hubert?) was incredible, he did a very good job, cleaned all the vents, remove the lint that was stocked everywhere, changed the heating element and another piece that it was not broken but kind of damaged; he also check the washer (the liquid softener dispenser was not working). Job was done in two days and now my dryer is working incredible. When my washer and dryer was installed by Sears 5 years ago, the y did not bother to clean the vents nor mention to bring a company to do it. The owner came out and looked at the job and estimated the labor cost to be $160 to replace the springs on my washer. I questioned this, but the owner assured me it was a big job. The technician showed up the next day, an hour late, and was done in an hour and a half. When I called to ask the owner for a reduction in the labor charge, the owner refused to talk to me, and the lady on the phone justified the excess labor costs with excuses.
