David at Dads construction did some work at Canton Highway Storage changing out building numbers and patching up the holes that were left by the old signage. He did a great job. We're very pleased and intend to use him for any other jobs we need done. Excellent workmanship, and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend! read more

If I could give them a 0 star I would. Communication poor, No schedule to keep them to, show up late leave early, work looks like it was completed by a 4th grader, got paint on my carpet, left a mess, ran over bricks in my yard and didn't fix them. When the inspection of the job was reviewed and critiqued I was met with insults and threats. I wish I could upload pictures. At the end of the day they cost me more money to fix their work. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! read more

Two days after I submitted request on Home Advisor, a guy called to schedule a 7pm on-site appointment for the next day. We could meet earlier since we had another appointment around 4pm for another project. But he insisted on meeting at 7pm for his convenience. So on next day, we waited onsite for 3.5hours. He never showed up. We called him, left voice messages, sent messages to him several times. He never showed up, never answered the phone, not responded back. Around 7:25pm, he responded back to my message to say he sent a message to us but did not receive an answerback and not sure whats going on. Actually we never received any messages from him. And after that, he never had a single message back. No call to explain, no apology. Just a message to push the responsibility to the client even when he knows the client waited him in the rain for 3.5hours. It is funny that he already made an appointment over the phone, what messages he needs to send that urgently afterward and let him have no show and asked clients to wait for him in big rain for 3.5hours? This is a terrible experience. I don't know how he got so many good reviews here. I hope these are true feedback. But I did have a very bad experience with this guy. Want to share to make others be aware. read more

I requested TE to come out and diagnose why an existing circuit was not getting power. Instead of…read morejust fixing the circuit, I agreed to a new panel for my house since it was 60 years old. The price I was quoted was over 12k. I felt the electrician on my job, Jason S. was very high pressure in his tactics and told me I needed to decide that day, or lose potential discounts. I had also been without a kitchen for over 30 days, so I agreed to the work. The next day Jason and an apprentice come out to start the job. They take one whole day to remove and replace the new panel, no problem. Here is where it goes downhill. On the second day of work, Jason and another apprentice came out and instead of prioritizing the circuit I hired him for, they start installing the hardwired smoke detectors Dekalb county allegedly requires. This took all day! By about 4 pm, I asked if he was going to get the outlet done so I could use my dishwasher and he replied "I guess if I stay here all night". I said I guess thats what you got to do then, and they were here til nearly 8 pm. Then he made several other unprofessional comments about staying late. Jason never came back to my job. A new Electrician came out on Monday, Jason said he had an emergency job. The part where they earned this rating comes when I found out my pool motor circuit was not working on the new GFCI circuit. I explained to them it originally was on a two pole circuit and now they had it on two single poles. It was drawing 240v and they had the model number and should have researched the wiring on their own as professionals. Rather than listen to me, I had to wait all day for the new electrician (with Jason on the phone) come up with a new quote to fix which included trenching up and re-wiring my entire pool, ANOTHER 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS! I was livid. I started looking into this and it turns out I was right, it just needed a 2 pole GFCI. I talked to the second electrician the next day and told him I want to talk to a supervisor or manager. I got a call later in the day from Jeffrey who was going to look into it and get back to me the same day. He did not. He did call me the next morning and agreed to send one of his best guys out to install a 2 pole and see if that solves the problem. Well guess what, it did! And, I didn't have to pay another 5K. I expected to hear back from Jeffrey again to ensure the job was to my satisfaction as you should on a service recovery. I did not. I feel lied to, and that I was robbed and almost taken needlessly for thousands more, had I not done my research which should not be necessary as a layperson. I understand from TE employees the Electricians control the cost, and they get a commission from it. Unfortunately, I paid for an electricians summer vacation because I trusted him. Luis L and Nathan the electricians at TE, thank you! Micah, Gavin, Phillip the apprentices, thank you too! Jeffrey I thank you for doing the minimum by ensuring what I paid for was completed. Jason, no thank you at all. You've sowed distrust in professionals and your industry with your practices.

Scheduling was a breeze and they arrived on time as planned. We needed some light fixtures hung and an electric vehicle charger installed. They are honest. We had wanted some can lights put in and they told us up front that since the beams in our ceiling were lined up with the existing light, the cans would be off-centered, so we opted not to do them. This was a majority of the project too. On the lights they did hang, it was efficiently done and priced well below competitors. They were able to give quotes, including for the electrical charger sight-unseen, which many other could not do. And they stuck with the price. I will use them for all my electrical needs going forward.

I have used them twice now-once - planned and once - unplanned. First service was to clear dryer vent since it had not been done in the 8 yrs (new install) I have owned the home (my bad). David cleared it, tested the air flow and everything worked fine. Advised of a future need which would be a warranty item thus a little more cost and time to complete. Second service - 2.5 mos later late on a Friday, the dryer went into a full alert due to high pressure and shut itself off (built-in safety mechanism). I contacted the company that evening baffled as to why and when could they send someone to inspect it. They responded late that evening that David would arrive first thing Monday morning. He arrived on time - checked the airflow which was fine but the alert was still active. So David went into the crawl space to inspect the duct system and behold it was bad and dangerous (from 8 yrs ago) - flex duct which was easily 3X the length required, 2" vs 4" piping in/out of crawl space using pvc piping, compromised flex duct in the laundry room causing dust to settle around and behind the washer and dryer units - not evident in the open area. It was all incorrectly installed and ultimately dangerous to my home. I was fortunate that I had never suffered a fire. He quoted me a repair and 4 days later he was onsite resetting the whole duct system. Ran into a problem with ducting into the crawl space, dispatched a couple of his guys to come and assist and the work was done in 3 hours, space cleaned and everything tested and the alert was resolved. Pricing was acceptable. I will definitely engage them again if and when necessary. Thanks

I am writing this review to highly recommend KLS remodeling! We have quite a story to tell…read more Six months into a major house renovation our former contractor abandoned our project. As you could imagine it was a devastating blow to us. We rented a house in the same neighborhood knowing the project would take 9 months. We needed to be back in after 6 months due to the rental contract. The contractor assured us our basement would be done and livable on move back. We did not have livable conditions on move back and he had left us high and dry. We looked in desperation for someone to guide and help us as we pieced our home back together. A neighbor had recently had some amazing work done by Ken and his crew. She gave me his number and I called him up. I set up a meeting with Ken, the owner and Shane the project manager. They saw our debacle and that 30% of the project had been done. This was a major project as they had to fix some of the bad workmanship from prior contractor and then finish the rebuild that was not even half done after 6 months. Ken, Shane and team were a godsend. We did not know him and had to trust him, knowing what had just happened with the other contractor. They came in, put a plan together that fit our situation. The team came in and day after day methodically came to work and put our house back together one board and nail at a time. They are true gems and the whole team was so easy to work with. We work out of our home and do a lot of business zoom meetings. As you can imagine that was a challenge, but we made it work and the team was so empathetic to our situation, and were so kind and professional the whole way. They work very hard, and have very fair prices in an industry, like many, that has supply and pricing challenges. Where it took 6 months from prior contractor to do 30%, they did the other 70% in 4 months. Pure pros!!!! My wife and I cannot thank them enough for taking on a very challenging job all while cleaning up some of the mess from the prior contractor. Call Ken and Shane. You won't be disappointed!
