The posting was several months old so I asked him if he was still looking for furniture. 2 weeks later I get a one word response - "yes". Nothing else. I tried reaching him for more information via FB messenger and he didn't respond for several weeks so I finally sent him 2 text messages a week apart. He asked me to send him photos of the furniture which I did the next day. 20 days later he still had not responded and I decided I was done trying. I sent him a text informing him of that and informed him that his failure to communicate with me had also cost him a job of replacing the fences around our yard. That at least got a response from him. However, he never once made any effort to ask how he could make things right. Mr. Petit is constantly posting quotes from others about how to get rich by investing. If Mr. Petit put as much effort into actually running his business as he does looking for ways to make money without running his business he might actually make some money. But it won't be from me.

I really appreciated the effort but truth be told, my house is really close to his office (which Ivan was aware of) so it wasn't much of a gesture. No one was home so I never saw Ivan in person during this exchange. Sadly, after waiting almost two months for this minor shirt order, the shirts were the entirely wrong material and not what we wanted at all. :/ At this point, I let Ivan know that we would just take the shirts "as is" and not try to reorder. I was saddened by the lack of true customer service here. Ivan was shown the exact material that we wanted (fly fishing shirts) and instead managed to order shirts that needed to be laundered. Mistakes happen but we brought in two examples of what we wanted and we were very clear about the material needed. Instead of taking any responsibility, he offered excuses (print shop is running behind, our office is short staffed, distributors sent different material than I ordered). In reality, a sincere apology would have gone a long way. I don't even blame Ivan. I just don't think he was taught anything in the way of customer service. He seemed genuinely surprised that I was disappointed. Prior to posting any of this, I left a message for the general manager (Joe) and he never bothered to call me back. I was hoping to fix things instead of posting a negative review. Oh well. Perhaps this review will encourage them to focus on their customer service skills in the future with others.
