Great bakery items and super friendly. Bagels and cookies were wonderful and the bread is amazing. Worth the drive from anywhere !

Cannot believe that I'm the first to review Miss Molly's Cakes!…read more I recently had a wedding a Quail Hollow in Painesville, and was given two vendors that I could choose from to provide the cake that was included with my package (I could choose to find my own vendor as well). SO, I tried the first place they gave me. They made me pay for a sample cake (say WHAAATT?), and then they messed up the sample cake order. Further, the cake was kinda dry. As in, it crumbled when you'd try to take a bite. I didn't want another sample cake as they offered, so I asked if they'd credit me the $35 towards any upgrades I wanted on my actual cake. No response. Three mails to them and NO response. When QH had their next bridal show, I went and tasted BOTH cakes again. Miss Molly's cake had a better flavor, better texture, and she was just so NICE! :) Once I met with her to discuss the cake, I was wholly convinced. I wasn't sure what I wanted - she had a vision, she made it happen within my 'upgrade' budget (because I really wanted sugar flowers!)...and she is seriously an amazing person. I learned this in 30 minutes...because she is sweet, but at the same time, she tells it like it is. Forward to the wedding day. This beautiful cake is there, exactly what we agreed to - split layer white and red velvet. The cake is seriously one of the best cakes I've ever eaten, and days later it is still super moist. (I hate that word...but what other word describes cake!?). Even the frosting is good, and I don't normally like frosting very much!. I truly wish that I didn't live so far away, because every birthday cake would come from her from this day forward. I may have to suck it up and make that happen anyway!

When you walk in watch the step up from the curb (spoiler alert I have missed it up and out lol) - open the door to a bakery with old world style deliciousness at your fingertips waiting to delight the taste buds and tug on the heartstrings of family members gone with Hungarian, Finish and German style baked goods. The cheese Danish looks and tastes just like my sweet MILs krummelkugen, the crepes filled with fruited goodness as she would make them and the Boston Cream Pie the same as my Grandfather always chose for his Sunday dinner treat. The kolachi cookies are my go-to for a brunch, a friend drop over or a super bowl party (yes you need cookies for that) - the selection of fresh breads - pick your reason and roll it in carbs (raisin bread, Vienna bread, Indian bread) - the cakes oh my the cakes!!! Bakery style cakes, fresh pies and German cheesecakes oh my! Hubby and I will donate or drop off the baked goods, muffins and donuts for breakfast to our kids teachers, the school staff and local preschool for the holidays. I share my appreciation and love with food (did this account at all give that away hahaha) so for me every time I go in here I come out with a big smile, a box if not two, a bag, a wish list for next time and oh yeah crap watch that step lol.

Aldo the aesthetic of the place used to be calm and inviting, it's now becoming cluttered and unkept. I would reconsider coming back unless the standards are revise. Today I had "The Cadbury" *beams* because hey! It's almost Easter and Cadbury, bunnies, you know... Wow was that awesome. I paired it with their Tomato Quiche Pie. Which, good lord- was probably one of the best breakfast items I've had anywhere! The crust was buttery and perfect. The quiche was so good- I almost ordered another one. It was that perfect. I need to mention I came here a week ago to snag a to go coffee- and I had the Butterbeer. A butterscotch dream mocha creation that I had to mention. Yes folks- their creations are stellar. Every month there's new ones and I'm pulled like a frigging tractor beam to see what they've got! I always stop by here. It's so perfect. whether I dine in or grab and go- there's wonderful kiddo's who are always so polite. They have their own coffee for sale and they have some stellar flavors, I keep meaning to pick up a few.
