I signed a contract with them for service. I requested on numerous occasions to pick up the additional recycling and yard waste and they did pick up some last year but not they do not want to pick up more than what you can put into the containers. Other companies pick up much more like Waste Management. I do not recommend on using them at all or they will just send you a 30 day notice to terminate the contract for service and they will cancel your service. I did nothing to them except complain about picking up the additional recycling and yard waste but apparently they cannot handle complaints like this so I highly would recommend using another service company for your trash, recycling and yard waste. First off, I'm not a complainer. I don't Yelp very often. If a company's service is so poor that I feel compelled to take to the internet, they deserved it. Apparently, complaining to Daily Disposal is what they want you to do. I tried to cancel my service today because of poor service. I had a couple of extra boxes or bags of trash that wouldn't fit into the bin due to extra Christmas trash. They wouldn't take the trash that wasn't in the bin, but my neighbors (who use another company) got their extra trash taken. I was also late on a bill (which I didn't realize), so they decided to not pick up my trash. There have been several times when my yard waste didn't get picked up. My trash cans always seem to be knocked over, or they're in the road, after they leave. I haven't complained about any of this to them. It hasn't been consistent, and I didn't think it was worth complaining about. Three weeks ago, I decided to cancel my service and try my luck with another company. I figured I could pay the same price and maybe get a little better service. That's when I found out I was on a contract until August. I should have paid more attention (my fault), because I didn't even know I was on one. So, they told me I needed to talk to a manager. We played phone tag a few times. I kept calling back and left my cell phone number. I never answer my house number (because of the telemarketers). So three weeks goes by and I still haven't talked to a manager. Today, I called and spoke to the woman that answered the phone. She told me the manager or supervisor I needed to talk to was on vacation. I asked to talk to another supervisor then, and that I really didn't want to have to call back. She then told me that she was a supervisor. I explained why I wanted to cancel. She said she would need to review my account. She called me back about 30 minutes later. Basically, she told me that we have been with them for 5 years and have not made any complaints. She didn't understand why I was wanting to cancel claiming poor service. She said there were photos taken of the extra trash in December. So, rather than just take the extra few boxes, they took a picture instead? Poor service!!!! It's not like I have a history and pattern of having trash that's not in the bin. And it was freaking Christmas! She told me that if I wanted to cancel, I would be charged 3 times my monthly rate for the remaining time left on the contract. WTF is that?!! I will say, however, that the woman I spoke to on the phone today was very nice and polite about the whole thing. So, I'm forced to stay with Daily until August. I will be out as soon as possible and won't recommend them to anyone. Basically, you have to be a complainer and create a paper trail if you ever want to cancel. read more

I was about to switch from EDCO to Daily due to the cheaper rates. I called them and was told I'd need to return a service agreement before service would begin and that they'd email me. 24 hours later I called them to ask where the email was, they said they'd send it now. 4 hours later I had to call again and I finally got the email. However, when looking at the service agreement, I notice that I would be signing a contract for a 3-year term which, if I cancelled for any reason other than selling my house, I would be charged triple my monthly fees as a penalty. I called and asked to reduce that term. Patty Dominguez told me she would change it to 2-years, but that was the best she could do. OK, please send me the new contract. Hours later, I email her asking for the contract, as I hadn't received it yet. Hours later I leave her a voicemail, still no response. I email her again the following day and finally get a response about 8 hours later telling me just to cross off the 3-year and put 2-year and send back and that service would start next week. I told her to forget it that we have lost faith in their company. Now I come here to write this review and see I'm not the only one! Waste Management offered similar rates, but they do not have a contract term. They do, however, have you pay 2 months in advance and will not refund any part of that if you cancel at the beginning of a billing cycle. EDCO, however, has higher fees but no cancellation fees of any kind. Since I've been happy with their service for years now, I decided to stick with them. So I had WASTE MANAGEMENT and switched to Daily Disposal (huge mistake) the said they had the cheapest rates. After viewing their price and my waste management bill . Waste Management was cheaper by $5 or $6. So I called Daily to cancel. Well the guy says it's $40 to cancel service. I told him forget it. Well the next week they sent a guy to pick up my bins .. I told him to leave them I never officially cancelled service.. so then I get a phone call with a lot of attitude on my voicemail. They also sent me an email and in writing I clarified I will keep service, I don't want to cancel service since they backed me in a corner like a bully and it would cost me more cancelling. After 1 month of service I came home today and noticed they took all of my trash cans.. WTF kind of business is this? Well I called Waste Management to restart service and they never charged me any cancellation fees and no resigning fee. Trash cans being dropped off tomorrow and there was even some credit on my acct that she informed me about.. that phone call took only 5 min. Oh and when I originally cancelled WM there was no questions asked, no rudeness whatsoever. I told them I'm sorry I ever left you. Don't waste your time with Daily Disposal, they are a punk family owned business that doesn't care about you. Terrible business. Trust me, if there is one good review about them, then it's probably them paying someone to write it. They should've stuck to construction jobs and not take on residential. read more

I used Daily to rent a 40 cubic yard dumpster when I purchased my home a year ago to do some remodeling before moving in. I was hoping to have the dumpster dropped off in the backyard for my own convenience but I had low hanging phone and cable wires over the driveway. The driver was able to drop the bin just short of the wires and used the truck bumper to push the dumpster in reverse under the wires, he then picked the dumpster back up on his truck and finished parking it where we wanted it. I was amazed they would go through the trouble when they could have easily dropped it in the front yard with a valid excuse. The home I bought already had WM canisters out front so I called to switch the service into my name. I was told by WM that they would have to charge me a new account startup fee to begin service. I protested because I was essentially switching names on an existing account; there was no work needed for them to continue what they were doing, no new cans to deliver, etc. I called up Daily since they did a good job with the dumpster and found they had no startup fee and were a buck a month cheaper than WM. Yes they had a one year contract but that makes sense if they are going to go through the trouble of delivering canisters you should probably sign up for a year. Recently, I had a problem with my auto pay that I wasn't aware of. I fell two months behind but they never stopped my service during that time. I have since corrected my auto pay but I am grateful they let it slide without stopping my service to get my attention. It's been a year now of good service, I'd recommend them highly. read more

Had Waste Mgmt for years. Daily provides the same service, and more bins for cheaper. For all of those complaining about the contract, WM does the same thing to keep prices down. It's your commitment to them which allows the lower price. I get two extra bins from Daily WM refused to provide without charging me more. read more

We have had Daily Disposal for 2 1/2 years now. When we moved in our home we chose them and agreed on a fixed monthly rate. We signed a 2 year contract. Now that we finished our 2 year contract and gave them a extra 6 months, we decided that our monthly rate was too high and found a different company. We called them and was forwarded to a Supervisor. She advised us that our contract was renewable and because we didn't cancel in October that we are committed to them till next October. We feel that our freedom to choose is being violated. This is poor customer service. We should have the freedom to choose which company we want. We finished out 2 years and they are forcing us to stay. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT with this company. they may have us but they will never have us again and I am telling all my friends and neighbors not to use them. read more

I strongly recommend using another company for your disposal needs due to the unscrupulous business practices and poor customer service of Daily. We had a dumpster delivered the day before we left for a month long vacation and were surprised to find it still in our driveway when we returned. When I called customer service I was told that their policy is that you need to call to schedule pick up or you will be charged additional daily rent for the dumpster, which they have charged me. This was the first I had heard of this policy as the booking representative merely informed me that our upfront payment was for 10 days and that if we needed the container for longer we would pay additional rent per day. This did not alert me to the fact that I needed to call, which I certainly would have done, to avoid paying for a container to sit at my house while I was gone. Daily's customer service failed their opportunity to make this right when I called by blaming me for not knowing their policies. Both the initial representative and her supervisor explicitly stated that they doubted that booking agent had failed to tell me their policy because they read from a script. I however was never told about their call-to-pick-up policy. They informed me that my receipt email included their terms and conditions. This is true, however it had gone to my spam folder so I never saw it show up and was not aware that I should be looking for an email with additional terms to what I had been told over the phone. The Daily representatives said that this is not their fault so I was still charged, though the supervisor did reduce the amount after our call. Overall this experience has made me feel like this company uses poor communication and obfuscated terms to trap customers into paying more money. read more

I recently called in to Daily Disposal to compliment their driver. My grandfather is disabled and has a hard time getting his trash cans to and from the curb. While I was at his house I noticed the daily disposal driver parked his truck and walked up my grandfathers driveway to bring his cans to the truck, dumped them and returned the cans to his house. This is the greatest service I could imagine. I'm so thankful there are people out there that have respect for the elderly. Thank you daily for such awesome service. read more

What a joke, ditto on the billing and customer service complaints. Zero followup if you miss a payment, which is guaranteed if you miss their one email sent bimonthly, just expect partial suspension of service. Have a problem with this system? Too bad, as their phone rep told me: "I only get one notice a month and that's good enough for me." Well, good for you but for the rest of us? Maybe not. A door-to-door salesman tried to get my wife to sign a 1 year contract with Daily. She said we were willing to try it for 6 months and he said that while they don't normally do 6 month contracts, he would make an exception. He hand wrote 6 months on the contract, which I saw. Service was ok, it was a few dollars cheaper than Waste Management, but while WM would take extra round barrels full of yard waste, with Daily it all had to fit in their square green barrel. If a branch was too tall they would take it out and leave it laying in my driveway, something WM never did After our contract was up I called to cancel and Daily claimed we had a 36 month contract. Perhaps the sales guy added a "3" next to the "6" after walking away. Daily refused to honor the original 6 month contract and offered to be "reasonable" and only hold us to 12 months. I am afraid we are headed for court. Do not sign up with this company, they are dishonest. read more

I felt obligated to at least share my experience, since there are some scathing reviews for these guys. We switched from WM the first year we owned our house, as Daily offered the same service for around 60% the cost. We've had their service now for about 4 years, and there has been zero problems, complaints, or issues with customer service. They've never raised my rates, missed a pickup, left a mess on the street, etc. I honestly don't remember if we signed a 2-year agreement (I pretty sure we did), but I've had no reason to shop around. They just have always done their jobs without me noticing, which for me is enough. My trash bin recently started to fall apart, I call, they brought a new one the next week. If something changes, I'll come update this review, but I feel like my experience should be noted. read more

When waste management would not service my home due to narrow street and turn around, daily had no issue. My neighbors hauled their trash up the hill for years so waste management would pick up, now all my neighbors are with daily and curbside pick up. I've dealt with the office staff concerning various small issues and found them courteous and knowledgable. read more

Called today as I needed a dumpster for tearing off my old roof. Not only was the lady knowledgeable and very helpful, she also was able to have a dumpster delivered with an hour. I was actually up at subway when the guy called etc and he was really cool waiting at my house till I returned. I've had Waste Management for several years. WM is now charging, in addition to the trash removal fee, $26 bi monthly in fuel, "cost recovery" and "administrative fees". I called Daily Disposal and they quoted me $25 per month, and "No hidden fees". When I naively agreed to switch to Daily, the salesman told me to stop my current service first and then call them back. Now I understand why. While talking with the Daily Disposal guy on the phone, I brought up their Yelp reviews. The salesman didn't mention until I asked that you must sign a two year service contract. Contracts are binding legal agreements, and if their lawyers wrote it you can bet it favors them, and not the consumer. Also no mention of the $40 cancellation charge if I am dissatisfied with the service. Are those not "Hidden fees" ? This is the only company I know of who make you sign a contract. From my experience they are disingenuous at best. I settled on EDCO. read more

Daily Disposal brought a dumpster quickly. However, it took several calls to get the first one picked up, but we needed a second and that came quickly too. On 6/23 I called them for a pickup and they charged me the overage for it on 6/29. I was engrossed in other matters but noticed the thing wasn't being picked up. Finally on 7/27 I called and we spent several minutes reviewing the file. No one called me back that day. Next day by 1:30 no response so I called them again. And again same day. Finally got a call back and I was told they tried to pick it up day before but it was too full! Go figure...what happens when a dumpster is left on a vacant property? People keep putting stuff in it! Is that my fault? I do not think so. They said I needed to empty it some so they can remove it. I said that's your job. They said we'll charge you rent on it all the time you've had it. Attorney is on it now. Update: A day later my attorney sent them a letter explaining their mishandling and failure to follow even their own posted practices. The dumpster was picked up next day without incident or further request of payment. read more

I drove an hour three different times to make sure they were there so they could pick them up.. They say they can't get the cans. to any body interested in renting a container from daily disposal dumpsters! i am very disappointed with their services. i made sure that i was not putting any that was not dirt on the container, removed all roots that i cut with a jackhammer, and removed any piece of concrete, i also made sure to stay below the second mark on the container as i was told, the end section of the container was way bellow the mark that i was told not to pass. days after their pick up they called me to let me know that i was being charged with over weight and cross-contamination of the dirt $200. also an additional $35 for fuel. do not let this be you, the initial price was $321 ​for dirt only container of 8 feet wide, 2 feet tall and 18 feet long which they replaced with a 4 feet tall, 8 feet wide and 18 feet long. ended with additional $235 totaling over $550. i feel it is my duty to inform all of you. read more

Worst customer service company ever. Called their office multiple times last week because they forgot to pickup household trash on Monday for our whole street. The person answering the phone was rude and wanted me to pay an extra dollar amount for them to pickup the trash they forgot on our whole street. I said no, so she transferred my call to a "supervisor" voicemail. Tuesday they sent someone to pickup the neighbor's trash across the street and left all the other trashcans on the street full. I called again and the person answering the phone called me a lair and again transferred my call to a "supervisor." The supervisor never returned any of my calls,but they did send someone to pickup all the other trashcans except mine! Use them at your own risk! read more

They were our service for five years. I paid every single month on time and the price stayed pretty much the same all through the years. They picked up my trash, I paid them to pick up my trash. That was the jest of our relationship. Then, I needed to disconnect the service in June because I was moving and it was difficult to get a hold of anyone. I waited on line for 45 minutes till I finally decided to leave my name and number, per their directions. No one called me back. Their website was actually down so I couldn't access anyone that way. I tried again, same thing, couldn't get through and no one called me back. Their website was back up, but provided no info other than you could leave a request to get called. So, today I waited on the phone till I got someone. I was paying for a service I was not using for crying out loud and needed to cancel. Finally, after 45 minutes, someone answered the phone. Someone who was curt. That's all I needed, attitude from them when I have been trying for three days to reach them. The person reminded me of the old Pacific Bell company back in the 70's, when they ran a monopoly in San Diego. From reading comments I see that I am not the only one that is frustrated with their customer service. Too bad the customer service people don't realize that we are at their mercy and they don't need to treat us badly. But, maybe that's why they do, because little minds get off on bullying people. read more
