Maybe the workers aren't used to helping people of color, maybe they were new and weren't trained to the best of their ability either way my experience here wasn't the best. I came in at about 1 in the afternoon on a Wednesday only one group ahead of me. The cashier took their order and walked away, I waited in line waiting to be helped. That same cashier refilled an older lady's coffee who stood by me which was weird because I was there first and then she walked away completely ignoring me again. Another worker spotted me in the line and helped me. Daily Dose is the first coffee shop I've been to where I'm actually excited to get the food. A lot of coffee shops have a limited selection of frozen-and-toasted sandwiches, a few pastries, and overall just aren't that exciting. Daily Dose has a phenomenal food selection! I absolutely love their paninis. My go-to is the Big Cheese with onions and garlic aioli. You HAVE to get it on their herbed focaccia bread! And definitely sub in the broccoli salad for the chips - it's creamy, sweet, and refreshing. They also have great salads and breakfast sandwiches and a lot of customizable options. Their drink selection is also amazing. There are so many specialty coffee drinks, plus there's usually a featured beverage so there's always something new to look forward to! I love their Mexican mocha and their wild berry refresher with house lemonade. This has become my new go-to place for coffee in the mornings and lunch on my work break. Stopped here this morning and I have to say the food was great and the coffee was perfect but we had ordered two different coffees (chai and meil), when the girl called out my name and had set the two drinks down and walked away. There was nothing labeled in the cups and so I asked "hey, do you remember which is which?" Her comment was "I honestly have no idea" and walked away. Given that I have a honey allergy and didn't want to drink the wrong beverage, my partner tasted them to confirm, but in the future, it would be wise to invest in a a system of putting names/even the drink type to help identify the items in case of allergies. read more

Truly a great environment to work in with a lot of space for customers to come and work. I come here frequently with colleagues to get things done. The food is good and there is quite a variety of drinks. The only areas that brought down my stars are: --Depending on who is working you hear about a lot of customer drama. A pleasant experience since the moment I walked in the door. It was newly open, but the place is VERY clean and well kept! Homey decorating and feel to the place. Great seating areas, with a variety or comfy chairs and table sizes to fit any size group. I will totally come here to work or read a book sometime! I was able to watch them assemble my Panini and loved how professional, high quality and efficient they were. The order was completed in a timely matter and came out to me warm. The bread was fresh and amazing and it had a solid amount of turkey on it. (I'm not a fan when places skimp on meat for sandwiches). The sandwich was delicious and I definitely plan to return for another Panini. I'm also excited to come back for Sebastian Joe's Ice cream, especially during the summer instead of having to drive all the way to Uptown. As much as I want to see a small business succeed, I need to be real. Came here on a Friday at around noon with 3 colleagues for lunch. Each of us ordered sandwiches. I got mine about 15 min after ordering, then 15 min later another person got theirs and so on. By the time the 4th person got their food, we had been there about an hour. She had to take her food to go. Not sure why there was such a long wait - felt like they were handcrafting each sandwich slowly one at a time. Our first clue should have been the help wanted sign at the door - they must be horribly under staffed. The sandwiches were good, but our frustration kind of overpowered any kind of enjoyment we would have gotten from the food. If you have an infinite amount of time to spend here and don't mind eating before each other, then this is the place for you. read more

So pleased that this place is finally open! This new location serves up the same delicious paninis, soups, salads and coffee as their popular Maple Grove location. The space is open and bright and has fun local art displayed on the walls. Staff is friendly and food and drinks are always wonderful. My favorites are the Turkey Cranberry, Turkey Pesto, and Italian Paninis. The Chicken Wild Rice Soup is hearty and comforting and available every day due to its pure amazingness. They also offer baked goods/treats and Sebastian Joe's ice cream. I'm happy spending a little more on lunch for the quality of food and satisfying experience- I have yet to be disappointed by Daily Dose. If you like dark roasts, you must try the Velvet Hammer. It's a smooth dark, rich brew. This Daily Dose is the second one to open in the Twin Cities, and I hope it does well. BP needs a good cafe and sandwich shop. The owners have put together a nice menu of sandwiches, soups and salads. When I arrived, the menus hadn't been turned on I think because the two employees were a bit new at opening. I would recommend having the menu available when the doors open. Baked goods here are excellent, but it would be nice to have some non-baked, healthier choices. That said, I have never been disappointed in the coffee. The interior is spacious and sunny and clean, and you're welcomed by a pastry case as soon as you walk in. The whole menu looks amazing but I was immediately smitten by a large cinnamon roll. I ordered a matcha frappe and my mom ordered the cafe miel, which is apparently the only drink she has tried but orders every time she comes here because it is so dang good. As for my frappe, it was soooo good. The best I've tried. Starbucks has nothing on these guys. It was matcha-y, refreshing, rich and not too sweet. My cinnamon roll was excellent, too, with powdered sugar icing drizzled all over, and delicious, light, soft dough. The woman who helped us said they're made fresh every morning! This coffee shop opened not too long ago. If you haven't checked it out, I would recommend it! I stop by on my way to work and get a coffee and breakfast panini. I love that this shop has REAL food! Prices are great (I think $4 for my panini!), staff is always friendly, and they have new gadgets to keep up with the times like touch screen signing/emailed receipts, and a fun machine that does designs on the top of your drink. Despite the layout and the decorations not entirely welcoming, the food was surprisingly sublime. I was impressed with the menu selections. Unique flavors and textures. Prices are in line with the quality taste of the food and drinks. We ordered lattes and smoothies. My Turkey Cranberry Panini was light and tasty. I had a cranberry goat cheese side salad with chicken. The salad dressing surprised me how good it tasted. The Avocado breakfast wrap tasted amazing too. I did a quick google search for a coffee shop in my area that had their dine-in open and found this place since the chain coffee shops still have their dine-in closed due to COVID. I called ahead before my visit and was greeted with a super friendly staff member who answered my questions about studying in the space as well as available tables at my time of visit (Saturday early afternoon). Personally, I was very impressed by the amount of light in the space as well as the friendliness of the staff. They are super accommodating and the mocha frappe I ordered was made perfectly. I did not try their food since I wasn't feeling hungry so I can't say much about that. Overall, it was a nice place with lots of lighting and relatively quiet for a weekend which is a great study place. After perusing some yelp reviews, I saw that the owner actively answers customer criticisms with respectful and positive remarks.
