The burger was huge and very good but it took 25 minutes to get. The patty melt came without onions so it was another 5 minutes waiting for them. They didn't have any knives in the utensils rack so we had to request one because the burger was so big. read more

I was impressed when I arrived with a friend and learned they have a full bar. We were there for breakfast and not up for drinks quite yet. I had the Corned Beef Skillet, which was excellent. The corned beef fat was cooked off and the corned beef had no large fatty chunks. There was a lot of the corned beef and it was clearly cut from a brisket not from something rolled and pressed. The hash browns in the skillet were done perfectly and the eggs on top were done nicely, not overly crackly or burned. It may have been one of the best Corned Beef Skillets I've ever had - I loved it. Service was excellent, Courtney O. was very pleasant, checked back often, and kept the coffee fresh. I will definitely go back to the Brooklyn Park Hy-Vee Market Grill whenever I am in the Twin Cities. The food and service were awesome. read more

Delicious Carbonara pasta and a great sushi roll? Wow, not bad for a grocery store restaurant. I had a nice experience for an impromptu lunch here. I've shopped in the store but was my first time in the restaurant. The prices are affordable, lots of seating, we sat in the bar area and our server was fast. Lots to choose from on the menu and I was craving noodles so I ordered the Chicken and Asparagus Carbonara-- it was really good! My husband's Paradise Sushi Roll came out looking all gorgeous and we were both surprised by how good it was. Friends and yelpers have given a thumbs up to their breakfast/brunch which sounds pretty great so I'll have to check it out next time. read more

This place slaps!! I'm always on the hunt for a good deal and they have them! On Mondays they have all day happy hour which means half off bar drinks and half off all apps. We got the pepperoni pizza pinwheels, duck and bacon wontons, boneless wings and a vodka soda and it was $16.99 before tip. What a steal!! And everything was very tasty! The service was good too! The only reason why I docked a star is because the fact that it's connected to a grocery store is always on my mind. Second time we have been here for dinner. Great prices and service. Tuesday's kids eat free which includes a drink, entree and dessert. This place is becoming one of my favorite local places, and I am super picky after working in the restaurant industry for over 26 years. 3rd visit : The Rueben is not good at all. The meat is scarce, thick and chewy, not enough sauerkraut and way too much bread. For $11-$13 way too expensive for such a disappointment. The wild rice soup is sooooo salty but the kiddo loves it here so I will keep trying new items. read more

Stopped in for a bite to eat before shopping, and have their burger of the month which is a multi cheese cheeseburger and rather than go with fries which seems like a typical choice I decided to do spinach and tomatoes sautéed and my friend went with the vegetables of the day. Nice to have an option other than fries and sweet potato fries at a restaurant. We got there while the buffet was finishing from the Sunday morning buffet, and the crowd wasn't too bad. I really like the Hy-vee market grille for breakfast. I've been to the BP location a couple times as well as their sister New Hope location. I always leave full and satisfied. The prices for breakfast are great, entrees between $8-$12. I've ordered the Cali omelette the last two times I've gone, which I like because it works well with my goofy eating habits. Only complaint is that they forget some minor details sometimes. Last time it was the guac on my omelette, time before it was the ketchup we had asked for. Not major complaints, but not 5 star worthy either. Service here seems to be good though, the staff are always super friendly. read more

I had just finished my workout and was looking for someplace to sit down for a halfway decent dinner before an evening choir rehearsal. Who you gonna call?!? Pull out your smartphone and do a quick search on Yelp! to find qualified candidates. The Hy-Vee Market Grille pops up and I go, "Hy-Vee? I thought that was some kinda grocery store?" But I trust my fellow Yelpers implicitly (okay, not entirely implicitly as I've been directed to a few non-existent places, but I trust the tenor of the crowd-sourced reviews), so I re-routed my drive to check it out. I walked into the right side of the new, large Hy-Vee building just southwest of the 610/Zane interchange. My first impressions were of a typical mid-scale eatery, but the menu turned out to be a bit more interesting with several nice craft beers on tap. Service was quite good, although it wasn't very crowded on a Sunday evening. Friends have told me that it can get quite crowded on other nights, so be prepared to wait. I'll be back, but it would be even better if there was a Hy-Vee a bit closer to my house, in which case I would go out for dinner or lunch, then do the grocery shopping before returning home before my ice cream melted. These new HyVees popping up around town are pretty frickin awesome! They've done a great job with these newer stores and each one I've been to has been great. Specifically the meat and deli departments have all been top notch. There are a ton of choices for prepared food and a bunch of options with take and bake style dishes. Each time I've gone food was freshly made and really good. Meat counters are always great at HyVee too, I always remember the one in Mankato being the best in town. I love the variety they provide for grilling stuff like stuffed peppers or mushrooms, bacon wrapped everything, skewers and one of my favorite the seasoned chicken grillers. On top of all the great groceries they've locked up Starbucks all over their properties and the Market Grille. I was shocked the first time I visited and found out they have NFL ticket and a full bar! My meals have been solid from the grille so far and since they have decent daily specials I'll definitely go back. Altogether these stores are pretty well put together and offer a bunch of cool stuff! read more

We went here for breakfast and my husband ordered an omelet and the eggs appeared to be powdered and watery and the hash browns were not cooked through. I ordered a waffle and a slice of ham. The waffle was ok but my ham tasted horrible. So disappointing as this used to be our favorite breakfast stop. read more

At Wahlburgers, The African-American cashier that was taking my order was a little rude and she didn't call my name with my food was done when I was just over by the sushi. The food is okay but there's no seasoning that I think on my hamburger and french fries so I won't order from them again but other people might like it that way. Update from 2/16/18: came here for dinner finally. Mitch M was our server and he is great!!! I feel bad for him cause the lady sitting behind us seems like a nightmare and he is dealing with her like a champ. His work should still get complimented. Keep it up! The food and beer was great. We had the sweet chili traditional wings which were great and some spicy crispy salmon rolls. The sushi here was really good. Better than some places out in San Diego on the ocean we have tried. The shrimp tacos were basic but the overall experience was great. Tried the place out before shopping. We have always wanted to try out the Market Grille. We did the Sunday brunch buffet and the country fried chicken and egg skillet. Wow was the food good! The buffet had so many options and the country fried steak skillet was really good. Sorry, but this is not a good place to eat, being attached to a grocery store they have plenty of quality food to choose from. I think its the cook, no experience or just don't care if the food taste good or not. I haven't had powdered eggs since I was in the military but today brought back those days eating in the field and hating these powdered eggs. They really need to put out much better food than this. Sunday brunch here is awesome!!!! Imagine everything fresh from the grocery store! Very great buffet and they have a Bloody Mary bar for $9 all you can drink. And mimosas as well. High quality and good service. This is a Sunday brunch buffet worth eating. We got here to eat at 1pm and everything on the line was still fresh. Nothing seemed old, or like it had sat there for a while. It all tasted fresh. The prime rib was high quality, the biscuits and gravy was delicious. My parents suggested that we should go out to eat at a grocery store. At first I thought they were crazy, until I experienced HyVee for the first time. After exploring the store, we ended up sitting down at the sit down restaurant at the HyVee store. To my surprise, they were pretty busy for a Sunday evening around 4:30. Right after we ordered they served us honey rolls that were freshly baked in the bakery. They were delicious. It was a roll I would have never purchased myself but after eating it, I would go out and buy. For my meal, my mom and I split the BBQ flatbread and the Asian Chicken Salad. The BBQ Flatbread was very flavorful. The BBQ sauce had a bold flavor, but it wasn't too sweet or too smoky. The chicken was grilled to perfection. The Flatbread was smaller than I thought it was going to be but it was very filling. The Asian Chicken Salad was good. It was loaded with many different veggies including sugar snap peas and red peppers. There were huge chucks on chicken in it that was nicely grilled. Our service was great. They are still working out a few kinks, but overall great experience. I was pleasantly surprised. read more

It was super delicious, potato was cooked perfectly and so too was the steak. The veggies were wonderful...yellow squash, zucchini, carrot, red pepper and red onion, all julienned and grilled. And all bunched together, a country fried steak with all my potatoes, there was gravy all of my potatoes, my English muffin was burnt around the edges, and the potatoes had too much salt. HyVee's Market Grill offers an all you can eat brunch buffet that is only on Sundays until 2:00PM. Costs about $15.99/person. Although, I wish we got more for the price, I got full off a plate and a half. Typical breakfast/brunch food which includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links cinnamon rolls, cheesy hash-browns, fresh fruits, cold salmon and shrimps. They have an omelette bar where they make fresh-on the spot omelettes per your request. They also serve prime rib! They do have a regular breakfast menu that serves plenty more. Bottomless mimosas were also available for an additional $10.00. My favorite were definitely the cheesy hash-browns and the prime rib. So flavorful and delicious. No reservations needed. They do take walk-ins. I suggest you go early so the food is fresher. read more

Next I had the Mac and cheese burger. It was my first time trying pasta on a burger. I liked it! The sweet potato fries that I got with it were yummy! Other dishes we got were the peanut butter burger, meat cravers flatbread, chicken pad Thai bowl and chicken asparagus carbonara. Heh, I do so enjoy places that like to get fancy with how they name their places. The word "Grille" does somehow look more upscale than "Grill". That being said, after a lunch and a wing session at Hyvee, I am thoroughly unimpressed. Our lunch session was back over the Thanksgiving weekend. It was me, husband, my brother, my mom, and my step-dad. It started out fine enough - you could get lunch sized versions of their sandwiches, etc. I got a burger which was fine but my mom got the kale salad with snow crab. First, her salad didn't come out with everything else - why? They ran out of kale! They had to go nick some from the store, hah. Then when it did come out, it was literally just mostly unprepared kale with hardly any dressing and a small palms worth of crab. For the uninitiated, straight up raw kale is kind of hard to eat. My mom ate a few bites but then gave up. So my brother, he got the lunch sized buffalo chicken sandwich. What came out is what we assumed was the dinner sized chicken on the lunch sized bun. So, a giant piece of chicken on a tiny bun. It was kind of ridiculous. To their credit, they did take the kale off the bill when my mom complained. The wings were a couple months later with my husband and fellow Yelper Baramee. I think Thursday nights, unlimited wings. Sounds good! Except my husbands first batch of wings had a drumstick that was basically uncooked in the middle. The rest seemed to be fine but he was sure to bring it to a manager's attention, who was nice enough to give us a $5 credit off the bill. So to be fair, they did handle their slip ups with grace and good service, but at the end of the day the rest of the food we've had isn't good enough to bother coming back when there are better places around. I stopped here with the wife, we were excited to try it as we love the grocery section. We kept it pretty simple, I got a bacon cheeseburger and nachos for the wife. The best part of the burger was the bacon. The burger had a different texture to it, not pleasant. The bun reminded me of a hawian bun, very sweet and it fell apart. As for the wife, a nacho fanatic her response was they sucked. Bad nacho chips, soggy drenched in a nacho cheese with the same weird texture beef. Our waiter was nice, hence the two stars. It is unlikely we would dine there again. The grocery store section is 5 stars, the restaurant 1 star. read more
