Pizza Pinwheels yum! Very filling hence one half devoured!

Who knew that you could eat a wonderful brunch at the grocery store? Hy-Vee Market Grille is hidden away in the corner of the store in Brooklyn Park. The place was bumping with the after church crowd and I can see why. The food was interesting, delicious and freaky fresh. We ate to our fill with desserts for under $35. We will be returning on Easter Sunday for brunch and we can't wait!

Great atmosphere for business. The hospitality is great. The coffee is always made well. The food is prepped with care. Am yet to have a meal that will impress the heck out of anyone I bring but it also never disappoints or is overly greasy or lame. When I'm in the northern suburbs, this is the meeting place of choice. Thanks to the great staff that always is respectful and kind. I might even be considered a regular in the near future. Already looking forward to the next time I'm in your hospitality.

Corned Beef Skillet with eggs over hard.

I was impressed when I arrived with a friend and learned they have a full bar. We were there for breakfast and not up for drinks quite yet. I had the Corned Beef Skillet, which was excellent. The corned beef fat was cooked off and the corned beef had no large fatty chunks. There was a lot of the corned beef and it was clearly cut from a brisket not from something rolled and pressed. The hash browns in the skillet were done perfectly and the eggs on top were done nicely, not overly crackly or burned. It may have been one of the best Corned Beef Skillets I've ever had - I loved it. Service was excellent, Courtney O. was very pleasant, checked back often, and kept the coffee fresh. I will definitely go back to the Brooklyn Park Hy-Vee Market Grill whenever I am in the Twin Cities. The food and service were awesome.

Delicious Carbonara pasta and a great sushi roll? Wow, not bad for a grocery store restaurant. I had a nice experience for an impromptu lunch here. I've shopped in the store but was my first time in the restaurant. The prices are affordable, lots of seating, we sat in the bar area and our server was fast. Lots to choose from on the menu and I was craving noodles so I ordered the Chicken and Asparagus Carbonara-- it was really good! My husband's Paradise Sushi Roll came out looking all gorgeous and we were both surprised by how good it was. Friends and yelpers have given a thumbs up to their breakfast/brunch which sounds pretty great so I'll have to check it out next time.

This place slaps!! I'm always on the hunt for a good deal and they have them! On Mondays they have all day happy hour which means half off bar drinks and half off all apps. We got the pepperoni pizza pinwheels, duck and bacon wontons, boneless wings and a vodka soda and it was $16.99 before tip. What a steal!! And everything was very tasty! The service was good too! The only reason why I docked a star is because the fact that it's connected to a grocery store is always on my mind. I also occasionally stop in on Wednesday's which is when they have half off bottles of wine and half off sushi.

Check and see what the burger of the month is.

Stopped in for a bite to eat before shopping, and have their burger of the month which is a multi cheese cheeseburger and rather than go with fries which seems like a typical choice I decided to do spinach and tomatoes sautéed and my friend went with the vegetables of the day. Nice to have an option other than fries and sweet potato fries at a restaurant. We got there while the buffet was finishing from the Sunday morning buffet, and the crowd wasn't too bad. Service was good, food was good, and we were in an out relatively quickly. I will go there again

Cali omelette on which they forgot the guac, and the breakfast quesadilla.

I really like the Hy-vee market grille for breakfast. I've been to the BP location a couple times as well as their sister New Hope location. I always leave full and satisfied. The prices for breakfast are great, entrees between $8-$12. I've ordered the Cali omelette the last two times I've gone, which I like because it works well with my goofy eating habits. Only complaint is that they forget some minor details sometimes. Last time it was the guac on my omelette, time before it was the ketchup we had asked for. Not major complaints, but not 5 star worthy either. Service here seems to be good though, the staff are always super friendly.

Sunday brunch here is awesome!!!! Imagine everything fresh from the grocery store! Very great buffet and they have a Bloody Mary bar for $9 all you can drink. And mimosas as well. High quality and good service. This is a Sunday brunch buffet worth eating. We got here to eat at 1pm and everything on the line was still fresh. Nothing seemed old, or like it had sat there for a while. It all tasted fresh. The prime rib was high quality, the biscuits and gravy was delicious. Bacon was crisp and done, and the hashbrowns were super good. The atmosphere here was very nice, good seats, nice tables and everything was very clean.

The service was wonderful! Everyone was so nice! When my boyfriend tried his drink, it just didn't taste right (iced vanilla latte with 4 shots of espresso) They remade it and were very apologetic! The drinks: I got an iced grandmas house with oat milk! There is no up charge for oatmilk! My wallet and stomach appreciated that! The flavor was really good! Unfortunately even with the remake, there seemed to be something off about my boyfriend's drink... I asked for them to take the vanilla out, thinking maybe be it was the syrup. But it just wasn't good. We were also hoping to get the pizza that was there but they only had slices, not a full pie. It was disappointing. Overall this is a nice coffee shop

My Brown Sugar Banana Latte which I got cold tasted very faintly of banana and more of brown sugar which was a little disappointing, but my partner's sweet potato latte was very enjoyable served hot. Both drinks were on the sweeter side which is fine but not my preference. Would I go back? I had an awesome breakfast burrito and their awesome Tirimasu Latte (iced), and they have other offerings that will lure me from St Paul for future visits. Specifically, now that I am mourning the loss of Sun Street Breads and its Thursday Night Pizza Night, I'll have to try Smith's version of that. But I'll probably come back for brunch on a weekend pretty soon and get more coffee, as well as something from their bakery. But also, yes, brunch; the eggs in my burrito were really perfect. I was there at around noon on a Sunday; peak busy times so parking was a little hairy but I eventually found a spot. I absolutely recommend coming with a bunch of pals and hanging out for a good long time, but maybe don't all drive separately if it's noon-ish on a weekend. They have a lovely patio area which was well-populated, even on this extra-sunny mid-February day. If you like adorable cafes, you will definitely love this place.

I immediately started looking at coffee shops that I could relocate to in order to work. I had been wanting to go try Smiths for a while but the opportunity just never presented itself despite being just down the road. I arrived and the driveway leading to the parking lot was lined with cars, but I was able to find a spot in the parking lot after a minute or so. It was definitely a full lot for sure. The location is absolutely adorable as this is a historic house. It was once a Dunn Brothers, but I do love that it is its own thing now rather than a chain. They had a outdoor patio that people were enjoying but it was a bit chilly for working and sitting outside, one person even had a dog which I LOVE! Inside the front door you are greeted with a welcoming counter that you can order. I opted to try the salted caramel iced latte. If you are consuming there (which I was) they give you a number to bring to your table and they bring the drink. I really liked this idea especially in the aspect of not having to stand and wait for a drink. The price was a bit high (7.55 for a 16 oz with $1 tip), but then again everything is getting expensive these days. I walked back to the seating area and there are essentially 3 rooms downstairs, I walked through all 3 to see where working would be ideal. I went upstairs but there was a woman in the room so I assumed it was a group that was meeting or something so I opted to not investigate further. I found seating downstairs in what felt like the quietest part, but there were a lot of people there talking and the acoustics were not exactly fantastic. I did have a call which I took via teams and air pods and discovered the sound in the room was actually really not awesome for a meeting as it was quite loud and the wifi was not strong enough to support the video on the teams call. So would I recommend working from Smith, not if you have a meeting, but if you are looking for a place that has some background noise, I guess... However this is certainly a place that is perfect for meeting someone and enjoying breakfast or coffee and I love that. I did not order food this time, but everything I saw get delivered looked delicious. I also noticed they have a pizza night on Thursday nights and immediately made a note of that for a date night with the hubby.

And the coffee is absolutely exquisite. One thing that always makes me smile is that while the pastries look and taste authentically French, they're definitely American-sized! They're enormous.
