I've been coming to this nail salon for a very long time, and it is by far the best nail salon I've ever been to. They recently switched locations, and I honestly couldn't be happier. The new space has such a luxury feel while still being warm and welcoming. The salon chairs are extremely comfortable, and the overall vibe is very professional but cozy at the same time. I don't usually pay attention to restrooms, but I have to mention theirs because it's especially nice, it truly gives off a vacation like vibe. They even have body spray available, which I thought was such a thoughtful and classy touch. As for the nail services, they are absolutely amazing. You can get any design you want, no matter how intricate, and the technicians are always kind, patient, and genuinely happy to help bring your vision to life. My nails also last a very long time, which is something I really value when choosing a salon. This is not your typical nail salon. The service is high quality, elevated, and done with a modest, refined vibe. I can't recommend them enough. The sets below are gel x done by Valerie :)
Judging by the amount of photos I've attached... I'm never disappointed. In fact, I'm always leaving IN LOVE with my nails. Literally can't stop staring at 'em sometimes. They recently moved to a new location which is a lot more airy and bright, slightly further into Alameda. The group of women they got there is solid! My go-to girl is Dani, she's got a great hand at art and is all around a delight to chat with. She really ensures I feel pampered at the salon and I love her attention to detail. Also, great prices here, another plus for a gal on a budget! I recommend making an appointment on their Vagaro over walking in, they have great availability on the books.

I get gel x and have a new set done each time, and her removal process is quick and involves little fuss - no wrapping my fingers in tin foil like many other places do. Sophia is incredibly skilled and truly passionate about her craft. What sets her apart is her patience and attention to detail - she won't move forward until I'm completely satisfied with the vision, and she'll happily do as many iterations as needed to get it just right, all without any pressure or frustration. She's also a true perfectionist who will catch and redo things before I even have to say anything, often fixing details that I would have eventually noticed but haven't even mentioned yet. That level of quality control is rare. One thing I really appreciate is how she respects my time. I've never had to wait past my appointment time, which shows how well she manages her schedule. She's never rushed, never makes me feel like I'm taking too long, and gives each client the attention they deserve. Beyond her technical skills, Sophia genuinely goes above and beyond for her clients. I've witnessed her interactions with other customers and her staff during my visits, and she treats everyone with the same care and professionalism. I've been going to Valerie for a little over a year now and she's hands down my favorite nail tech I've had! She perfectly executes all the nail design ideas I have and even better, her gel x sets last up to 5-6 weeks on me. She's so friendly and easygoing, I'm truly so glad I found her. You won't be disappointed if you go to her, I never am!
Sophia and Selena are my nail angels! I've lived in Alameda for a little over 2 years and haven't found my salon or technician yet. this has unfortunately led me to down a path to thin nails brittle nails a result of harsh chemicals and over filing/drilling. My last appointment was a week ago and as of this morning two tips had already come off because the beds could not support the tips. So after spending an hour on ChatGPT combing thru nail salons in Alameda and guiding me thru exactly what to ask for I was led to DailyGlam. When I called I was connected to the calm and kind Selena who answered my questions about their products, techniques and technicians. When I walked into my 1 o'clock appointment I was greeted by the technical, professional and very friendly Selena. Who explained the process to me as we went thru my entire appointment. She answered my questions and never made me feel embarrassed about the current state of my nail naturals. Instead I feel like I found my new technician and nail salon. Plus my nails look GREAT!! My first Gel X! Love them
I love going to this salon! It is always so clean and welcoming. All of the nail artists are kind and professional. I have been getting my nails done by Dani the last few times and have been obsessed with the quality and attention to detail. She really goes above and beyond to make sure I get exactly what I want. I do think it's better to book an appointment in advance if you want more detailed nails but they do accept walk ins from my understanding. This is my new go to nail salon!
Absolutely love this place! Dani was amazing! Such a great experience. As soon as I walked in a felt at home. This place truly care about keeping ur nails healthy and not being so harsh with them which I think is a rare find. I had acrylics on and she took them off and did gel X for me which is life changing! Wanted a green croc print for Saint Patrick's, and she did not disappoint! Will be coming back here.
Service - 5/5 Ambiance - 4/5 This is my new nail shop. Paulina did an amazing job. I showed her my inspo pics and she nailed it! It was a neutral chrome polish with a thin French tip and it's so neat and perfect! She also gave me the best pedi! My toes desperately needed a fix and she has me looking brand new

My tech was Dani! (@mani.fest510 on IG) She is just hilarious and amazing at what she does. I had multiple pictures to pull inspiration from, I loved that we were able to collaborate and create a beautiful and stunning set together. The suggestions she gave made so much sense and I'm glad I was also open/receptive to them! I have now taken off my nails, but it was HARD! I had them on for a month, NO lifting in sight, top coat was still shinny. I also have crooked fingers from cracking them so often, Dani did an AMAZING job making sure my nails were straight. I was visiting a friend and found her through yelp, I highly recommend and would drive six hours to come see her again! Thank ya Dani girl. read more

I have been going to Valerie for 3 years now and she is truly the best! She's always down to be creative and bounce off ideas or if I come to her with a exact inspo -- she does it all I must say, her line work is so good and her shaping is undefeated. I'm super particular about my nail shape and she truly nails it everytime My nails have remained healthy and she's taught me a lot about cuticle care which has only strengthen them. The salon is very cute, cozy and clean which I love. Their playlist is always fire which I appreciate and the vibes are always so welcoming. I've been to this nail salon twice now, and I would say I love it here. The salon is very clean, calm and welcoming. All of the staff are super friendly and nice. I tried gel x nails for the first time and I'm obsessed, they look so natural. I usually book with Valerie, but I'm also sure that everyone else here is great at what they do. If you're looking for a salon that specializes in gel x nails, or just want a reliable salon, I would definitely recommend going here! read more

UPDATE: this is what this salon sends to people who send honest reviews. "Tearing down women's businesses?" Actually, how about you learn to do business, be professional and I would have maybe adjusted my rating. Who sends a threatening text to clients like this? My nails are amazing and we're in great shape before I came into Glam Nails - and my nails aren't Gel-X extensions. Would you like to see proof? Do you want to see what a real nail salon that does Japanese nail art does? This is the pic of my nails the day after I had to undo the DAMAGE they did at Daily Glam. Love it here especially Naomi. When it comes to her schedule, she's extremely accommodating. Just give her a call and let her know the time that works best for you. I usually book with her at 9 am before work and it always works well. I always go for gel x medium and she nails it every time read more

I had my first appointment ever with Salina for my bridal shower nails & had an excellent experience. I never felt rushed; she really took her time with each nail & checked in with me along the way. I never did chrome before, but I loved it & received many compliments! I will definitely be back :) read more

Never again. The nail technician removed my previous gel mani with A series of drill files. She filed to the point that sheets of my nail plate were peeling off and she was plucking them away with tweezers. You can see where she pulled away sheets of my nail, ended up with a bumpy pockmarked gel mani from an uneven nail plate. They charged for a full on manicure but essentially just did a polish change and light reshape/dry manicure. No cuticle work, or real cleanup or any extras (soak/massage etc) So far 3/10 nail have broken at the base of the nail. I've never had my nails break with gel manicure. Super sad because I've been growing my nails out and this place destroyed them. read more

I have never been so happy coming out of a nail appt! I've been trying to find a nail tech in Alameda for ~4 years and am soooo happy to have found Jessi. Before her, I would drive to Santa Clara to get them done or wait until I was down in LA. Jessi is really communicative and you can see how much care she puts into her work. I got a spa pedi and japanese mani with nail art. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted, so I gave Jessi a few inspo pics before my appointment and she did the prep work to come up with a design for me. I'm obsessed with how these came out and wouldn't change a single thing. Thank you Jessi!!!!! So glad we met -- I'm tempted to gate keep you, but decided to be nice and tell all my east bay friends haha. Will definitely be coming to see you again soon. read more

I went to Salina in Castro Valley, she never fails to surpass my expectations! I literally walked into her salon today and said, "you know, with everything going on right now... I want to do something "unicorny", fun, colorful".... I left with nails that couldn't have make me happier (so grateful). Her salon offers great amenities (snacks, refreshments) and just overall, you honestly get the best creative service. Highly recommend. read more

Valerie has been sweet, kind and professional since I started coming to the daily glam in July 2023. Valerie always listens to what I ask for, my ideas and then delivers with her work. I would recommend her to anyone. (I am including some photos of the sets she's done. I only like short nails. Also ignore the alcohol.) The Daily Glam is a hidden gem in Alameda. It is cute, clean and quiet. What more could you ask for in a nail salon? I would and have recommended this place to a few people! read more
HIDDEN GEM!!! I'm a first time customer here. I was desperate for help save my nails that got hurt and damaged from the previous place i used to go. Then i found this place and decided to give it a try! Probably one of my best decisions i I've made! SERVICE: Sophia did my nails. She made my day. So did everyone else there (they all were very friendly). Sophia did a great job. She soaked the acrylics to take them off which was exactly what i had been looking for. SO GENTLE, CAREFUL, DETAILED, CARING and PROFESSIONALLY. We had a good conversation too. She suggested me Gel X and we did it! It feels good and much lighter than acrylics. COLOR CHOOSING: They have tons of different colors which will give you a freedom to choose whatever you want. I went there with no ideas about color. But i simply ended up choosing this color called Sea Shell. Came out on point! AMBIANCE: Spacious and welcoming. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!!! So happy that i found this place. I'm coming back! read more
