Needed a tasty alcoholic beverage to-go and this was the best option for the neighborhood I happened to be in. The place was a bit dead and the order window created an initial non friendly appearance. However, the staff was kind and allowed me to taste test the flavor I was most interested in. There was some table and chairs for waiting and perhaps even maybe to chill but it wasn't necessarily clear if that was the true intention of them being there. The menu was pretty broad and I was even able to customize my drink even more. They had a $3 hurricane special so I grabbed two of those as well as a medium skittles with cream. The hurricane drinks were very strong from what I heard. And my skittles drink was very tasty but extremely sweet. Happy Yelping! read more

They have a lot of different flavor profiles and combos. I like that they let you taste different ones prior to buying. Typically I get a gallon jug that's about $40 and it lasts me a while in the freezer. Alcohol concentration is good read more

This is no longer Daiquiri Shack. It is now an establishment called Daiquiri Explosion. I feel like Daiquiri Shack had better flavor mixes. I wasn't really interested in any that Daiquiri Explosion has on the menu. Since I drove out there, I decided to still order something. I got the Panty Dropper. It was disgusting. I tried to force myself to drink it, but I couldn't. This place doesn't have any drink options with cream, which is disappointing, as Daiquiri Shack did. That's one of the things I loved about them. Cream isn't even available as an extra to be added to the daiquiri. I'm not sure I'll be back. read more

After reading the reviews, I was excited about trying this place and even more excited to find out it wasn't to far away from my home. The daiquiri Shack a great amount of different favors with unique names and flavors however I was very disappointed with this place. This had to be one of my worst daiquiris ever. I ordered back that ass up. Instead of backing my ass up, it made me want to throw that shit up.The syringe shot, tasted straight, ever clear! I don't think I would return. My favorite daiquiri place, hands down! I have tried a lot of different daiquiri places: I.e. daiquiri island, candy shack, premier daiquiris, and none of them are as great as daiquiri shack. They have great flavor combinations and their regular flavors are still delicious. They have a great balance of taste and make sure not to make their drinks too sweet so you don't get a sugar rush instead of a buzz. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's a fan of grabbing a quick drink to enjoy at home. There's a reason I've been coming to their locations for as long as I can remember. read more

I wavered between 1 and 2 stars. 1. I've been twice and they won't tell u what kind of vodka is in the drinks. 2. We walk in, with masks, during a pandemic and the dude nor the chick are wearing masks. They were nice, but laughing and talking, nor mask, super uncomfortable. Won't be back. 3. The presentation is nice. but.. no masks.. so makes me not wanna drink it, not even through the drive through. Just our opinion. Wearing a mask ain't that hard. read more

There are tons of these daiquiri places around Houston however these are the best tasting. no after headache sugar rush i've gotten from other daiquiri places. speaking with their manager they have multiple locations in houston which means they are doing something right in comparison to these other pop up locations. definitely will continue to go back to this company. can't wait until they expand to a location near me! read more

This spot is amazing. I decided to have a small fruity pebble daiquiri tonight. It was a most cost around $7 . Boy did it hit the spot and helped me lose nip for the fun filled night that I had. I had no wait in line and the drink comes packaged so nice. Tomorrow they are having some re grand opening events. I hope I can make it. I would love to go inside and have some of their chicken wings. read more

Daiquiri Shack is an interesting concept, albeit one inspired by New Orleans. Roll up to the shack, either drive thru or inside, order an alcoholic beverage, and you're given a mixed drink in the same cup you would at a fast food restaurant. To prevent you from drinking and driving, they go to extreme lengths by placing a piece of tape on top of the opening where the straw goes in. No way to get around that lol. Daiquiri Shack is located off of Almeda Genoa in a shopping center in not the greatest part of town. The interior is pretty small with 2-3 tables and a window where you order your drink. It's one of those windows that closes so you can't see what's going on until the cashier opens the window. I went with the Halle Berry because how can you not order a drink named Halle Berry. This sweet concoction was a mix of strong liquor, cherry, raspberry, and strawberry. Sweet yet strong, just like our girl Halle. The drink was alright, I much rather would've had a drink with the real Halle Berry. If you're not down with Halle, there are close to 20ish other options you can go with instead. read more

They have daiquiris and all the usual accessories you might need, jello shots, etc. I've tried a few of the drinks and if you stick to the stronger options generally they arent too sweet. The further you get towards sweet though, better call your dentist so they're ready for ya. As for the strength of their drinks, they'll definitely get you buzzed if you're a regular drinker, and probably pretty wasted if you're a light weight, though not black out drunk like in NOLA. read more

I heard about this place from a co-worker. Right away I knew this was going to be my favorite place to visit. Let me just tell you it's not a shack It's in a strip center with a drive thru. Yay!!! The list of frozen treats is Huge. It's basically a slushy. That's all. You choose what to "add" :-D You can get a "shack punch" card your 10th is free. Either I'm not as bourgeois as I thought or this place has brought me back down to earth but I thought drive-through Daiquiris from Daiquiri Shack is an awesome idea!! The surrounding area wasn't that off-putting to me and I never felt I was in danger at any time! I think they sell mixed drinks every day of the week but the times may vary on the weekend. The staff is super knowledgeable about the drinks and can even give you the total with tax based on what you order, I like it ;). Staff is also appropriately friendly and efficient with their made to order drinks. The drinks are very sweet ( not too sweet!!) and STRONG!! You don't really taste the liquor but you can smell it. I love their passion fruit daiquiri and their strawberry pina colada. I don't like to be more than tipsy so a few sips is all I need. I may slurp down a jello shot....delicious!!! Please drink responsibly and do not imbibe in the car!!! I will be back to give this establishment more business for sure!!! read more

I am new to Texas. ( uprooted from Cali) I saw other yelp reviews and curiosity got the best of me. I took to this location. first off they have a drive through with approximately 3 signs listing everything they have. Super helpful. Secondly the gentlemen at the window (sadly I didn't get his name) was an absolute delight answered all my questions about the menu and even gave me a take home menu. thirdly the drinks: I ordered a large birthday suit and got my husband at 713 Octain. Holy crap they are not messing around the drinks are strong and delicious. They tasted like a fat Tuesday in Vegas. Needless to say I will be back and I am telling my friends. read more

I'm subtracting 1 star only because of the location. I saw a drunk hooker fall down in the middle of the street! I'm no stranger to alcohol. I drink tequila straight. I didn't expect much from a drive thru daiquiri place. I was wrong. Wrong wrong wrong. These drinks are STRONG! I got a medium and was completely toasted! The top shot jello shots are strong. I've known about this place for quite some time and have driven by it a few times. After being in the area running some errands with my sweet thang, I finally decided to pay a visit. There was a line when we pulled up, however, it did move quickly. They offer a plethora of strong drinks that should suit any taste that you may desire, and if you can't decide they will be happy to suggest flavors for you. The guy asked a few questions and recommended that I try "Trouble In Paradise." It was good, but too sweet. In my older age I've grown out of sweet drinks (they make my stomach hurt) and have evolved to more subtle drinks, but I still wanted to support. If you love good strong daiquiris, this is your spot! read more

The Daiquiri's are very watery & the alcohol has an after taste. I am from New Orleans & know how Daiquiri are supposed to taste. & this is not it! It was a group of 3 & we got different flavors but all said the same thing that the taste was just ewww. On top of not so good drinks the older lady who works the drive thru is very slow with horrible customer service. She is not friendly at all. I will not be going back they have better places in the city. I wish I could give a half star review read more

Man, I would tell you what happened after I pulled up here, got a Blue Hawaii and pulled off, but some things are better left off the Internet. I'll be back though. ;) EDIT: Okay, I'll tell you. I was doing business in Lufkin, then Port Arthur, and came to Houston. My friend lived here at the time and I always wanted to visit, so I was like "Hmmm, lemme see what's up." She told me about two places to go: This place, and Frenchy's. (*Boudin in the parkin' lot* - Name that quote). So we drove to this place, and I looked at the menu. With drink names like "Thug Passion." "She Did." "She Will." "Skee Taste" - - - - these made Sex on the Beach seem pretty mild in comparison. I got a Blue Hawaii... and I got a medium size. They asked if I wanted an extra shot. I declined, because I needed to see what this was like at first. Let me give you the rest of my night in 3 sentences. - Tipsy in 5 minutes, loopy in 10 - Embarrassing car dances and convos while on the passenger side - Passed out, woke up for 10 minutes for Frenchy's Boudin and Chicken, then passed out after I was gone. I'm not a fan of daiquiris, but my partner is, so I decided to bring her here so she could try them out. Once we finally arrived, well lol, it's kinda in no mans land, but once we arrived the area was pretty descent, there was a long line to the street. Not really sure why it took so long to get to the window, I'd figure everything is already made, just a matter of putting items in a cup, but who knows. Anyhow their menu is pretty interesting as far as the names of the beverages go. The customer service was pretty great, and the drinks weren't too bad. Not a fan of the cherry bombs, tasted like cherries soaked in sour amaretto. Any how we enjoyed the drive out there. read more

Great drink, better to order inside. Line moves at reasonable pace outside. If I had one critique it would be not to laugh and watch tv and joke around while taking someone's order. Dude at window got my order wrong because he was more interested in whatever was going on inside the booth he was in, instead of me giving my money to this business. Shameful!! I absolutely love this place!! live in Pearland so it's a easy drive for me. Although I like the drinks, I loooooove the jello shots. I usually order about 12 of them and I find myself walking to the fridge throughout the evening, LOL. not sure how you can not love this place. they stay open til 12am & everything is good & POTENT! I get an S.O.B . a mix of their 3 strongest drinks & yes it will sneak up on that ass! the line is long because everyone is waiting with love lol, they move fast so i'm never frustrated by it . They have a drive in (sign on the door says drive in only, even though there is a teeny storefront) and serve regular daiquiris like other shops do. So they have pineapple and strawberry for soft serve. I got them mixed. The smaller is 7.99 which is good for the amount you get. I feel like it's just enough. It was so good. So they also have food. I got the Mongolian chicken. Something I've never had anywhere before. It was a big portion of food. The fried rice wasn't that great. But the chicken was really good. It was more spicy than sweet. Service was super fast and I would definitely go back for the soft serve! Noted its in the hood, so if thats not your thing, this might not work for you.

I don't even remember what I used to order back in the day, but these days, Chacho's makes it's rounds on social media for their famous pile high nachos. I went with the nachos but steakhouse beef fajita. They have three different sizes but even the small is substantial. I went with a small but it came out piled high on a plate. They understand the assignment when it comes to compiling a proper plate of nachos. Lay down some chips, throw in your toppings and repeat the process. Not chip is left behind nor do they skimp on toppings. Is it the best nachos I have ever eaten? Absolutely not, but it's good and filling. My dining companion had some breakfast items that apparently were not that good. I didn't even have a desire to try it. My craving for nostalgic food was satisfied. I don't see myself coming back here anytime soon but I'm sure I will at some point.

I might have just found one of my new favorite restaurants in Houston. What a great experience!…read more Recently, a good friend dined here and immediately called me to tell me how great it was. She then text our friends group and said we all had to come together and we did just that. She made reservations in advance as this place is popular thanks to recent Michelin Bib Gourmand awards as well as many other accolades. Walk ins are welcome as well. Our reservation was later in the evening so after a night of bar hopping, we ride shared in which I think is one of the best options as parking is limited here or you have to find street parking in the neighborhood. This place is literally a house turned into a restaurant. Inside is just multiple rooms with a couple of tables. It makes for a unique, intimate dining experience, perfect for a date night. In our case, we were a group of nine so we got patio seating. The patio is spacious and well kept, and if the weather cooperates, a great place to hang. One thing that really stood out to me is the amazing ambience of this place. I was told that the bartenders pick the music for the night from the owners extensive vinyl collection. Once the album is in, they play it in it's entirety. The sound system was systeming and on top of the great company and food, we were totally vibing with the music. Customer service was amazing. Every staff member we came across was so friendly, especially our server. The menu here changes. There are some mainstays, but they like to change things up. Their website shows current menus daily. We were told that family style is the best way to experience this restaurant. I am one of those people that will always listen to the staff and go with their suggestions. Our group went through quite a bit of their menu from apps, entrees and desserts. I loved that our server and staff brought our food out one by one in what they thought was the best progression so we could take a culinary journey. We started off light with their popular Dilly Bread. Best bread I've had in awhile. Next was the Texas Tartare. It was my first ever tartare and it was delicious. We then moved on to Fingerlingin Good which was a crispy potato dish with chili crisp and mascarpone. It was potatoes elevated to the highest level and so so good. Next up was Beer Battered Sweet Tots. I didn't think sweet potatoes could be that good. Our first entree was a vegan dish called the Carroty Kid. I could seriously become a vegan if all dishes tasted like this. It was curried. A bowl of jasmine rice would've made it a complete meal. Next we tried another famous Nobie's dish called Nonno's Pasta. Handmade, perfectly cooked tagliatelle with a delicious bolognese. I wouldn't share this next time. Ok, I will, but it was that good. On to the heavier dishes. First up was the Jamon With Your Bad Self. This came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. It was favorite heavy entree. It was high quality, iberico pork steak with shaved brussels and all kinds of other tasty ingredients that when combined made such a tasty bite. We then went to the sea with the Drops of Grouperter. It was good, but not something I would order again. It was a little too smoky for my liking. Our biggest dish that came market priced was the Kick His Ass Seabass. This was a whole fish that was presented beautifully on a platter with all the accouterments to make your own elevated fish tacos. We left no morsel of fish behind. It was absolutely delicious. One of the things this place is really known for is their pies. This was the part I was most excited about. Just like their menu, their pies change up. We got all their offerings that night which they presented on one big platter of goodness. Their main stay and I believe always on the menu is the famous Olive Oil Cake. It's not a pie, but I can see why this is such a popular dessert. I can't even describe it, you just have to try it to understand. The pies we had were the Black Bottom Strawberry Pie, Banana Rum, and the Peanut Butter Pie. I would order all of them again. We all had a difference of opinion on which was the best, but my fave was the Banana Rum. Overall, I was highly impressed with this place and kind of mad at myself for waiting so long to make it here. It had made it's way to the top of my list of favorite restaurants in Houston. I will be back.

Zaddy was being a bit of a clutz that evening and knocked over my $20 mezcal cocktail, so what does he do? Orders me another one! (That's why he's "zaddy") ....kind of wish he hadn't...so wasn't worth the price tag. Skip it. The chicken dinner was definitely the winner--fresh, juicy breast, crispy skin...don't be cute, you won't finish it unless your party has at least 4 in it! The flies were ruthless! Very annoying! They were acting like the geekers that come bother you just outside your favorite fried chicken joint in south Dallas! Our waitress brought out a table fan so that made the experience a little more tolerable. The chocolate peanut butter pie tasted like a salt rock and the lemon chiffon pie had great flavor but not lemony enough for me. All in all this place is a bit pricey but truly a gem! GM Kevin, should review the footage of the private party event that happened yesterday for the table of 17 & definitely reprimand, retrain, and reconsider some of this staff. Once he left, the night appeared to go downhill.
