This review is primarily for the soft serve daiquiri. My friend told me about this place having them before anyone else did. They're really just overlooked because of I guess no promotion on it. It's a very small shop. They have a drive in (sign on the door says drive in only, even though there is a teeny storefront) and serve regular daiquiris like other shops do. So they have pineapple and strawberry for soft serve. I got them mixed. The smaller is 7.99 which is good for the amount you get. I feel like it's just enough. It was so good. So they also have food. I got the Mongolian chicken. Something I've never had anywhere before. It was a big portion of food. The fried rice wasn't that great. But the chicken was really good. It was more spicy than sweet. Service was super fast and I would definitely go back for the soft serve! Noted its in the hood, so if thats not your thing, this might not work for you. read more

Medium Strawberry Daquiri, snack shrimp basket and dinner Orange chicken was $30. The drink is good and strong. Taste more alcohol than strawberry flavor though. Portion of food wasn't terrible but still too expensive for frequent visits. Orders are taken through drive through only. Food is made to order and then you have to park at the entrance. This was problematic because behind the building is one lane and it's shared with another restaurants drive through. We had to wait in a line for a restaurant we weren't ordering from just to get back to the front of the building. Then it took another 15min to get our food. New Orleans D&W is pretty small so you could miss it, especially at night. Also, the drive through doesn't look super inviting at night either (no lights, very old looking window, hand written paper signs) but I assure you it's real! They have lots of fun flavors that are a mix of various combinations. We discovered that getting the $16 half gallon would give us more daiquiri than two $8 Larges so that's what we did. That's honestly the better deal if you have 2-3 people. I can't speak for the food, but the drinks where good! read more

We got this delivered with Uber Eats and it was okay. Good for convenience I guess but the drinks have a weird taste. I'm not sure if it's the syrup or what. We got the half gallon Bahama Mama, 6 Jell-O shots (all agreed that green was disgusting, blue was okay, and red was great), 2 gummy bear cups (except we only received 1), and a medium Blue Hawaiian. Originally went to this place to try the Daiquiri but ended up ordering food too. Before ordering a daiquiri, I asked the guy taking my order which flavor is the strongest. He said they all had the same alcohol content ( bummer for that). I ordered a medium pina colada with rum runner daiquiri. I also made an order for shrimp fried rice. The daiquiri was a disappointed! This is my new go-to Chinese place. The food is delicious, and served in large portions (especially the fried rice). It takes a sec to make, so it's more efficient to call in, and then pick the food up at the drive through. The daiquiris are OK, but too sweet for me, so I always end up adding juice or water when I get home, which stretches them out anyway. It's like when your snow cone melts and all you have is cold syrup. Good, just thick. read more

Gonna split the difference on this and go with a 3 star. Daiquiri options seem legit, and probably a good value for the strength they're serving. I'd probably four star this place for that reason alone, but I was hungry and got an order of chicken lo-mein for lunch.. which changed things somewhat... ...and when I say somewhat, not for the better lol.. A couple other reviewers mention there being too much oil, which I 100% agree with. They do give you a ton of food, but unless you've had a large daiquiri already and are looking to fight off an impending hangover, there's no reason to consume that amount of oil. I really couldn't even finish half of the lo mein as I felt it was weighing heavy in my stomach. Taste itself was good, but I knew a couple bites in I wasn't gonna be able to handle it.. Definitely a 2 star situation in my book. So aside from the food which I'd skip, it seems a safe bet for a daiquiri if you're in the area. ***The people working here were all awesome too actually, which I wanted to note. I had my little one with me and they were very nice to her, offered her a juice while we waited.*** So if they can scale back the oil amounts I'd probably say give it a whirl, until then, as others have noted maybe just stick to the frozen boozy libations. read more

We drive by this area fairly often when heading to the University of Houston campus, so when this building was built, I took notice. My girlfriend suggested that we stop by and grab some daiquiris, and even though those usually aren't my thing, I obliged. The majority of this restaurant is dedicated to the kitchen, but there is one table there. Most likely, you will be getting what you want as a to go order. The staff was very friendly, and the drinks were made quickly. The quality of the drinks ended up being good, and we will probably return in the future for more, and possibly food as well. This place is LIT. Maybe it just feels like a novelty because you never see anything like this in Austin (add it to my list of reasons to move from there) but the fact that I can get a seriously strong frozen drink for $5 to imbibe on my walk from my parking spot to NRG Stadium for the USMNT game is just a dream come true. They have never let me down before. The drinks are delicious and STRONG! When my friends touch down in Houston they always beg me to make a stop here on the way home. They are nice and fast, and they don't skimp on the liquor. They also offer jelly shots and gummy worms. It's worth the drive and price. Very humid and hot out here in Houston so I wanted something nice and cold with (liquor) to cool me down, so search for daiquiris to go and stumble upon this place.. Prices were very reasonable for a med $6 something with tax 7, I order a sex candy (kiwi, strawberry and pinapple) with extra shot for a dollar, and all I can say is I definitely was not disappointed!!
