Wow. WOW is the word to describe this place…read more Let me tell you about Bella the bartender, the BEST bartender I have ever encountered in my entire life. And listen, I'm basically a certified alcoholic (just kidding... allegedly), so trust me when I say I know a good drink when I taste one. I've sampled enough lovely liquors in my day to know what's good and what's just overpriced sadness in a glass. Bella is COMMITTED to her craft. She literally told me she studies cocktail recipes day and night. Like... how cute is that? Meanwhile I can barely commit to folding my laundry. Then she proceeds to make me the SMOOTHEST, yummiest espresso martini my tastebuds have ever had the privilege of experiencing. One sip and I was astonished, emotional, slightly turned on, all of the above. This woman has the shake hands of a goddess. I think I fell in love a little bit. Also, shoutout to the super friendly man in the Hawaiian shirt and Bob Ross-style beret. He brought immaculate vibes to the whole place and made the experience even better (for the most part). Anyways, the drinks at this place are phenomenal. 1000% give this place a try. And if you get Bella as your bartender, congratulations- you ARE one of God's favorites.

We chose this location because of their old fashion options. Their prices are affordable, the service is always exceptional (we've been back twice), and the ambiance is relaxing. Food - 4.5/5 Service - 4/5…read moreAmbiance - 3.5/5 I had only heard mixed reviews regarding this place going in, so I figured my experience was going to be the same, but it was an overall very positive one. The ambiance was nice as we walked in, and after being quickly seated next to a window, the atmosphere was nice. They did end up covering the window before we started eating, and the little bulb way above us and candle did not really provide light enough for us to eat (I get it is mood lighting, but I like seeing what I eat). The food was really solid, though. A few times I've been in the past it was all too salty, but this time around it was much better. I got the Farm Bird, and it was very juicy and had a very nice crunch. The Fish and Chips were nice and flaky, while the Pork Chop was extremely juicy and rich. The shrimp in the rigatoni was definitely oversalted, as well as the broccolini greens in the pork chop dish. The appetizers we got (Brussels Sprouts and Spinach Artichoke Dip) were both okay, though I prefer garlic bread to the chip for the dip and the sprouts were a little one note. The whiskey cake itself was very good, though I recommend only one plate for a group of 6 or less because of how rich it is, especially if you get the ice cream addition. Overall a very surprising experience, and while it carries a heavy price tag, it is absolutely a good choice if you're looking for a nicer meal out here.

Getting to this area from Pearland is much easier than heading into Houston so I was more than happy to come here. I've been here a couple of times and the most recent visit brought me and a party bus full of friends here on a Saturday night. The place gets busy but parking hasn't been an issue on any of my visits. It's a narrow bar that may seem tight, but it keeps going towards the back with more seating as well as a spacious patio. Customer service is always great and the bartenders know their stuff here. They have a pretty extensive drink menu here and there is something for everyone's preferences. They have a long list of cocktails and they can make you anything you want as well. The staff are experts here. They also have an impressive bourbon collections with about 200 kinds to choose from. Along with their cocktails, they have a long list of martinis. I love a good martini and here they have so many options. You can't go wrong with my favorite espresso martini, but the one that wowed me here was the Cucumber Patch. Cucumber flavor profile is not typically something I seek out, but I was in the mood for something refreshing and this was suggested to me. Get it and thank me later. As far as food goes, they have a separate BBQ business on site that sells some food. Don't sleep on the Bay Area if you are looking for a nice cocktail. This place will quickly be one of your favorites. I will surely be back.

I've driven by a countless number of times, and you'd never really know it's there. But walking in, you immediately get that local dive bar kinda vibe in the best way possible. I met up with some friends here for a chill drink after work, and to our surprise it was karaoke night! I have to applaud the regulars here because they can really SING! But don't be shy if you can't, they were welcome to everyone going up for a song. As far as drinks go, I had the Alimony. I was sold on it because it's gin, guava juice and elderflower liquor. Balanced, not too sweet, and had a little bit of sparkling effervescence. Pair that with a shot or a beer, and we were having a great time catching up with old friends. I don't remember our bartender's name, but she gave us great service. Overall 10/10 recommend the Davenport Lounge Clear Lake if you're looking for where the locals go, trust me they know best.

We sat by the wine cellar/private dining room and were graciously served by Amanda. Our table ordered the goddess pasta (you can add shrimp or chicken) and the elote ravioli (as suggested by Amanda). After checking out pics of elote ravioli on yelp, I knew what I would order. I considered adding the grilled watermelon salad, I'll save that for next time! The elote ravioli's presentation was beautiful!! Check out the flowers and the garnishes in the pic. The flavors were a delightful mix of spice and richness (not too much of either IMO). Amanda made a great traditional margarita for my mom (sweet price at $10). Wine by glass and bottles are priced well. Dessert was interesting; we ordered the smoked bread pudding. It usually sells out quickly, so glad we got to try it. I am unsure if I would order that one again (especially bc I want to try the other ones), but it was really interesting and made me think of smoking foods differently.

Almost 80 degrees on Christmas Eve isn't unheard of. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas and very busy. Well, I'll just get right down to it. I don't typically like to give a negative review on Christmas Eve, because I know restaurants can be short staffed and busy. But it genuinely felt like our time wasn't valued. I've been a server (and for many years) so I understand people and learned it pretty quick from day 1. Our server, Jacob was ok, but it was obvious he was trying too hard. Every time he said he was going to do something, it took f.o.r.e.v.e.r. We ordered dessert and sat there for over 15 minutes still waiting for dessert. By the time it came, we were so frustrated at how we had been forgotten once we got our meal that we just wanted the check. They did offer us the dessert for free, but that wasn't the point. We ordered the zucchini fritta and waygu meatballs. Both were great! The bathroom...there are 2 stalls in the ladies bathroom. 2. Two. The line was long and by the time I got back to the table, our food had been delivered and mine was cool. My other half ordered the shrimp scampi and said his shrimp was tough and he had no idea it would come with so much pasta. Even though my food was cold, it tasted good. But there was WAY too much pasta and not enough chicken or mushrooms. Eating here was a pretty big and sad disappointment. Especially for our 2 hour drive. If you're looking for snacks and drinks, this is a place to go. If you're looking for great Italian food with great service, go to Angelo's. I won't be eating dinner here again. I might go for drinks if I can pinpoint another bathroom somewhere.

I ordered the beef shawarma wrap as a bowl, and got to pick "unlimited" toppings from the 'Sides' menu (as many toppings as they can fit in the bowl). I got baba ganoush, tabouli, and cucumber salad as my sides for my bowl. The bowl was huge and the side portions were generous! The baba ganoush was heavy on the tahini (predominant flavor for me), so I wasn't too big of a fan of this take, but the texture was still good. The amount of shaved beef on the bowl was plenty. I couldn't finish my bowl, so I had a little bit to take home as leftovers. I'll definitely be back if I'm craving a hearty Mediterranean bowl and want to skip Cava!

And, against our…read morebetter judgement because the place only had about 40 reviews - which could easily have been a lot of friends and family dropping 5 stars upon opening - we gave it a shot. It was just okay. The good: Service was great. These folks greeted us and sat us quickly. Food came out hot and prompt, and we were checked on without being intrusive. Bathrooms were clean! The bad: The food just wasn't that great. The fries had good seasoning but I had quite a few that were more limp than crispy. The chicken shawarma wrap - my friend had the beef wrap - was somewhere around the quality of a really good soft taco from Del Taco - and I like Del Taco, so this is not as much of an insult as it might sound. I would just expect more from a chicken shawarma wrap - I was missing those bold but warm Mediterranean and middle-eastern slices that I would normally expect from a good shawarma. And no garlic sauce! I would definitely expect that classic garlic sauce on the wrap. I may be leaning too heavily on previous experiences with a good shawarma, but I just wasn't feeling this place. I would honestly give a 3.5-3.8 if Yelp would allow, but not in the cards. Not a bad little spot, but if you are expecting to be blown away by bold flavors, you might want to hit a different spot.
