This is THE cutest little ice cream spot, with super tasty ice cream treats! We didn't try any of the other food, but it all sounded good. The store itself is really cute, just a classic little roadside spot. The service was fast & they give you a good portion (the small was enough to be full). I got a small tornado, which is basically their version of a blizzard, with cookie dough & Heath. You can't go wrong with anything on the ice cream menu, though, as my friends confirmed. They have a large patio area with plenty of tables, plus a lot of parking. This place is definitely worth a stop! read more

Slow your roll.... Stopped here before leaving town and for whatever reason, like our breakfast down the road, the food was great but the service was slow. Ordered a Tornado (ice cream mixed with topping) a BLT, fries and curds. What seemed to be no lunch slam - we pulled up and walked right up to order, took a while to produce. Even the couple who ordered after me got their food first. I ordered "to go" and though they forgot all of the sauces we ordered (when they asked) the food was good. The tornado (for a small) was a very good size (compared to what you get at a chain) but I'd recommend adding a scoop to your order - the topping rationing was in effect that day. Overall - liked the food. Because sevice was slow and not remembering our sauces knocks you down a star. The staff working was nice too. I'll be back in a couple weeks and will likely give them another try (for ice cream). read more

I always drive past this place when it is not open. I stopped by late one evening 9 and was happy to see that they stay open until 9:30. I still had time to get my ice cream cone fix. This place does sell food also which was an eye opener for me. It also appears to be a place for the local teens to gather which i think is neat and made me reminisce just a little. I got an ice cream cone and they take vanilla ice cream and put liquid flavoring around it if you get a special flavor. I got the chocolate and vanilla which was basically a syrup twisted up with my ice cream. It was decent and was right around 2.00. read more

HORRIBLE, TERRIBLE, DISRESPECTFUL. If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the absolute worst customer service I have ever had. So much for supporting a local business. I ordered a simple small cup of hard, chocolate ice cream which was listed $3.75 plus hot fudge on top. The sign said additional toppings were $0.50 making it $4.25. Apparently, as soon as you add hot fudge topping it becomes a sundae making it $3.00 more. That is absolutely RIDICULOUS. When I tried to explain that I didn't order a sundae which had 5 scoops and that I ordered a small with one scoop, the old woman with the accent and a younger woman kept ignoring me, interrupting me, yelling at me, tapping me with her pen and plainly wouldn't listen. They were NASTY, RUDE, and DON'T DESERVE BUSINESS. I highly recommend taking your business and family somewhere else like Rita's across the street. read more

Old-style, small-town ice cream and grill. Malts and milkshahes made with soft serve instead of real ice cream, though the strawberry shake was a standout with real strawberries mixed in. Burger also tasty on a good bun with crispy fries on the side. Very friendly staff and nice that they have picnic tables outside for good weather. My family is from the surrounding area, and for years we never went to Dairy Inn, Bc of everything we've heard about them. There was a huge line at Rita's across the street, and we needed to get home before the rain got worse, especially since we had our 3yr old with us. For a Spongebob character, medium cherry slushy and small soft serve with nuts, we paid $12.00. I was a little surprised, but had no problem paying. I see on the menu the first two items, but can't find my cone. Character popsicle - $3.50 (ice cream trucks are $2.00) Medium slushy - $3.75 (the size-8oz not filled, completely drenched in the cherry syrup making it completely tooo sweet, if anything it was sour tasting. Not slushiness at all. Tasted like a package of koolaid with 5 cups of sugar.) So I ask how much was my cone with the nuts, and the older woman working there, with the BIGGEST attitude I've ever seen from an elderly individual, says "why? You paid already and took a bite." I couldn't believe it. When I asked again, she states angrily, "$4.75." A SMALL CONE, that wasn't even filled on the inside of the cone or hardly having any ice cream on top, with NO CHOCOLATE, just nuts. I looked at her like she had two heads, when another woman walks over to the window and with a nasty attitude herself, slams down on the table their paper menus on the inside. And says "no one is scamming you. That's our price. Too bad." I then asked, " why are you both even screaming. I'm a customer that asked a question about your over charged prices for a small cone that hardly has any ice cream on it. Did I ask for my money back? No. And I wasn't disrespectful to either one of you. This is how you treat first time customers?? That's crazy and sad." Again, completely nasty, while the elderly woman tries to speak over her like she's a ghetto teenager, yelling I'm white trash, then yells, "too bad. That's our prices. Goodbye." And slams the window. Never in my life have I ever had service like that, forget being over charged at this point. I will never go there again. The soft serve wasn't even that good, when it's not that hard to make. All you're doing is pouring liquid into a machine to make it a certain texture. And believe me, I bake for people all the time and know the nuts are a little expensive, but businesses gets things in surplus for a reason, for discounts. Horrible place to go to. Horrible service. Horrible prices. Horrible employees/owners. Horrible products. And I'm not even white, I'm Hispanic. I can just imagine what they would have said if they knew I was Puerto Rican. Smh. It's sad and pathetic that still in Belleville, of all towns in our Essex county, you have people that have no idea what it is to be nice, calm and customer friendly. Came here as a quick stop on the way to camp. We ordered our food and soon realized we had made a mistake. The food took forever to be served. There is not very much seating near the area where the food is served so if your looking for a place to spend more money on your side than your meal and wait standing up for at least 30 minutes, this is the place for you. The food is mediocre at best. The chicken was somehow dry and greasy at the same time, and I can't even begin to describe the odd color of the cheese curds. While the taste of the cheese curds was not the worst on the menu, they were very greasy and the color was very unappetizing. I would not recommend this place as I'm sure there are many other places near by to stop. read more

We love this place! The food is great and the ice cream is yummy. If you are passing through Cannon Falls you should stop. The burgers and fries are excellent. My wife is a chocolate malt expert; they serve the maltiest here. I think their cheeseburgers are outstanding. Yes, you can get a cheaper burger at DQ or McD's in Cannon, but this place uses fresh, quality meat. Plus a great staff. And a patio! Would never recommend this place. I live in town and haven't been here in years. Decided to stop in for some ice cream, and was extremely disappointed. I was charged $14.50 for two, 2 scoop cups of vanilla ice cream with just jimmys. I'd have no problem paying that much if the ice cream was better than something I could buy out of the frozen section at shop rite. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Older lady working at the counter was extremely rude and seemed annoyed that I made her take back the soft serve I specifically told her I didn't want........3 times.
