Fantastic Drive-Thru Experience at Alpine Dairy Queen! We had such a great experience at the Dairy Queen drive-thru in Alpine today! We ordered two mini Blizzards - a Heath Bar and a chocolate with dipping chocolate blended in - and everything was perfect. The best part was Jeannie, who took our order. She was incredibly smiley and friendly, and she made sure our order was exactly right. Her excellent service really made our day. We'll definitely be back! read more

I have been coming here for many years. I had the worst tacos, which is my usual order, that I have ever had in my life here today. They were sitting in a pool of grease and they tasted liked a pool of grease. And there were over 10 dead flies on their windowsill. The last time I was here I had a problem with the service. It's a dog and pony show. It must be out of towners keeping this place in business, since it's the first/last food establishment in town depending on which way you're going. The prices on the menu are wrong when the item is rung up. Menu price for my burger was $7.99 but charged $9.99. I asked for a limeaid - not a cherry limeaid. they charged me for a cherry & served me a cherry. the girl that brought it could of given a hoot if the order was correct. she did not say I am sorry or anything- she refused to give eye contact. Hard to imagine a more ridiculous customer service experience. We went through the drive-thru, then had to wait in the parking lot for 15 minutes for our order. (Hardly the point of a drive-thru.) Are all Dairy Queen's the same? This is proof they are not. All of our food tastes worse than other DQ's we frequent. Cold french fries, flat sodas, old-tasting meat. When our food was brought out, they did not bring or even mention the Blizzard I ordered. At window lady told us they were out of hot fudge- would take awhile to heat some up. She offered to make coco chocolate instead. At window woman handed us blizzard & said butter finger. We went through the drive thru and someone wanted to take our order and then they walked out and did not come back to the microphone. we pulled around to the window and no one answered and as were pulling off we saw 2 employees in the back. we asked if they were open and they said yes and we told them what had happened and they quite literally laughed in our face. it was extremely rude and we were being polite and as nice as we could when we had no service from the very beginning. it was extremely unprofessional and i understand that it is not a fine dining experience but i think the situation could've been handled a lot better. do not recommend, terrible customer service. read more

Terrible experience. Man at counter wouldn't even respond when we walked in and said hello. Made no response as order was being placed. Asked for napkins - he grabbed the entire stack and tossed them under them plexiglass. Same with straws. Very abrupt. Worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to. The food is less than mediocre. I just went for the grilled chicken sandwich and the grilled chicken was literally the size of a nugget. When I opened the wrapper the bun looked like there wasn't even anything inside. How dare they actually cook and serve that to someone. Half of the chicken was so tough it was impossible to even bite through. For the amount of time I waited to receive my food and for what I got is ridiculous. Terrible experience. It took OVER 25 minutes to get trough the drive thru -- then order was wrong which was only ice cream. The staff was the slowest moving, lackadaisical folks I've seen. The owners need to work with their staff and explain efficiencies and process. We will never go back when we drive through Alpine on road trips. read more

I didn't think it was possible to experience a terrible dairy queen. Stopped by yesterday & had to take my food to go because not a single table was clean. Ordered a medium blizzard & got a small. Hardly anyone was there yet took forever to get our food & ice cream. Decided to give it a second try today. Even worse than our previous visit. Dead flies that had Sat along the tables yesterday had obviously not been cleaned because there were still resting in peace 24 hours later. If they can't clean that up, I have no hope for what is in that kitchen! Ordered a dipped cone this time. No food, just a quick ice cream. 10 minutes later 2 others have their ice cream as we continue to wait. We make a comment to an employee who could care less about our complaint. He continues his purposefully slow pace, watching us with this dead stare as he dips my cone, & hands us a half dipped half bare cone. The sanitation at this location along with the careless employees should be reason enough to shut it down. read more

Have not eaten at a DQ for sometime and I thought I'd give it a try with my significant other tonight. Bad idea. Girlfriend ordered a chicken sandwich combo and me, the Dude. Was told there were no Dudes to cook so I reordered a beltbuster combo. Sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for our order we were entertained by the air show going on inside the store by the countless flies dive bombing us and the dead and dying ones on the window ledge behind us. The chicken sandwich came out and 15 minutes later my beltbuster arrived. The mistake we made was not checking my girlfriend's order. Back at the hotel, her chicken sandwich was my beltbuster so we ended up with two hamburgers. Usually no big deal, but my girlfriend doesn't eat beef. So I'm out 8 bucks, 45 minutes of my life that I'll never get back and wondering where the health department is in this area and why this place hasn't been shut down.
