11. Cooper so there's not very many fast food places to eat. EVERYTIME we try to give this restaurant a chance they messed something up. Ordered food a few days ago and went to the drive-through and picked it up about a 10 minute trip all together. My food was cold as ice! Called to let the manager (Kelly), know of our experience. First off the person to answer the phone when I asked the manager just handed the phone to someone didn't I just a minute or anything. The "manager" proceeded to argue with me about the experience I've had, and then said she can look at it on the camera, as if she didn't believe anything, I said. No wonder this dairy queen has gone so far downhill if that's the attitude of the manager herself! Won't ever give them another chance! read more

Dairy Queen surprised me with their tasty Beef Taco and Fried Meat Burrito. The taco was packed with seasoned beef and just the right amount of crunch, while the burrito was crispy on the outside and savory on the inside. Quick service and a casual atmosphere made it a satisfying stop--I'll be back for more! read more

Mexican Plate at DQ - A Beef Taco, Fried meat burrito(or something resembling meat) covered in chili and cheese with side of meat nachos plus jalapeno's..GENIUS!! One of our favorite past times is to check out local DQ's when camping in different State Parks on this particular trip we ventured to Coopers Lake SP Doctors Creek area. This particular DQ was simply amazing from the greeting when we walked in to the almost fridged temperatures inside on a HOT Texas summer day. Plus they were super clean all the tables, the floors even the trash, inside and out not overflowing, welcome surprise. Most of the staff wore gloves but no face coverings and I was good with that. I am tired of trying to figure out if people are smiling or frowning under those things. My wife got a Jr, Hunger-buster with fries and it looked really good, not like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for many hours with side of crispy hot & salty fries, she was happy. My daughter got the chicken-finger basket (4 piece) but looked like they slipped in a couple of peg-legs in the mix so she actually had 5-6 either way it was plenty of food with order of fries & TX toast plus the gravy. While she is not a big gravy fan (which we are working on) she did say the fingers were good not overcooked or dry. So another satisfied customer. On tonight's visit we did not get Blizzards, I know that should be a crime but as we stopped on the way up to Coopers Lake we stopped at one of our favorite stops and picked up some fried pies but that is another review for another day... read more

Best DQ ever. Was in Cooper for work and stopped by Tanners Dairy Queen for lunch. Ordered sweet tea and 3 piece steak finger basket. Tea was perfectly sweetened and the steak fingers left me wanting more. Topped off by the gravy and I was ready for a nap. The young lady that took my order at the window was extremely pleasant and acted as though we had known each other for years. It was, at the time, very refreshing after having a pretty busy 3 weeks of work there in Cooper. I will be back. read more

Food was good. Service from the younger staff was not good. No customer service what so ever. Other staff came in when we were about half way done with our food, dine in at 10:30 am, they were having such vulgar conversations in the kitchen that was easily heard by us and we were disgusted. Talking about "are you into eating hairy pussy? Is that something you're into?" Definitely not a conversation we wanted to hear. Thank God there were no kids in the dine in area. The only smile we got was from the older lady running the grill and overheard her correcting the behavior of one of the kids. We used to love coming to this Dairy Queen! We ordered thru drive thru. Restaurant is open inside also. O was SHOCKED though as in didn't see masks on ANY WORKERS not even a police officer was there to eat also at same time. We needed a little get away last night and drove up to Cooper for some Dairy Queen. We realized after we ordered, that we were going to need an extra gravy. We explained to the lady at the window and she told us that it would be another 30 something cents. Ok, we were willing to pay for it, even though we had just spent nearly $40. My husband handed them our bank card and she refused to take it for an amount that small. Ok, but then how are we to pay for it? We had no cash on us and they wouldn't take our card. She was kind of rude and just stood staring at us. I don't think it would have killed them to comp us a 30 cent gravy when we've been customers there for years and tried to pay but they wouldn't take our form of payment. Then when they made our blizzards, they were barely over half way to the top of the cup. Just feel like they have started cutting corners and being cheap at this place. Next time we need to go for a drive, we will go to the one in Sulphur Springs. Always had great service from them and the employees have always been friendly. read more

Well, as a vegan, there isn't much to eat at a DQ. I was only here because I was on a road trip with my youth group and this was the only place around. I had a side salad and a lemon-lime freeze drink. (I forgot what they were called). The salad was lettuce and tomatoes, and the drink was a little too sweet. My husband ordered Jalitos (fried jalapeno skins) and they were so burnt they were black. Glad I don't live in Cooper and this is my only eating out option. read more

I am not a Dairy Queen fan,and rarely stop at one. We were out riding around on Fri evening 10/12/12 . We pulled in to get a burger and what a surprise If they would make their own burger patty it would really go to the top of my list as a great place to get a burger We really thought it would be the same old style cold dry bun with a hot dry patty and covered in mustard or mayo depending on what you ask for They bring it out to us and the first bite nearly put me in shock. The meat even though thin was soft and moist and cooked just right,the bun was toatsed enough that it had that old fashion bun taste . The Mayo on mine was spread out over the bun and not globbed on ,the wife had mustard and hers was the same it added flavor not cover up the taste of everything else. This was as good of a burger as you could ask for This is the first time we have eaten here and did find out the young man that cooked ours is only there after 4 in the afternoon. Going any other time than after 4 pm or latter could be a hit or miss not sure how good the other cooks are but If you should be in the area late afternoon evening then give this Dairy Queen a try. This is an older place so it will look a little rough but don't let that stop you it is clean on the inside,the staff is as friendly as you will find This will for sure be a place we will drive back to on a weekend read more

I have been to this DQ 3 times now and the first two times I just left I alone but this time I can't! I got 2 burritos with cheese and one with chili and cheese. We got nachos With extra cheese and jalapenos. A burger and fries and a order of chicken strips and fries. I did not check the order before I left so when I got home I seen their was a little spot of cheese on each burritos not even enough to use the chili was like oil like it had been sitting a while. The fries were cold and I got a dipped cone and it had some green paper in the hard chocolate. I went back and old them everything they gave me some shredded cheese and said sorry we don't want to open a new thing of nacho cheese and they gave me new fries I looked at them and they were full of oil so much that they fell apart when I picked the Up so I just drove off! The first two time were not this bad but it's the fact that that all 3 times I have been it was bad. read more
