Stopped here for late lunch on a Saturday. Was greeted with smiles at the counter. Decided to sit at the bar area. Had a cold Shiner Beer and wife had white wine. Both were cold.

We are there last night and although the restaurant was nice and clean the service and food temp left a bit to be desired. Our waitress was not the best and took a long time to bring drinks for the table. Then when our food came some of it wasn't hot leading me to think it's wait her pre-prepped or sat waiting for her for a while. The queso was pretty good but a lot our chips were smashed. Ribs and pork were good just like I said some of my food was cold including my fried okra... oh I did however LOVE the coleslaw, probably one of the tops I've had!

As you know I love BBQ, and I know my BBQ as a 100% bred, born, and raised Texan. The ribs were delicious and fell off the bone. The sauce was very good, as were the smokey beans. The potato salad was good but would've been great if it was mustard based so minus one star. I added sauce to it to make it better. I'm wanting to try some of the other meats and sides and will hopefully over time as I visit this area.

The ribs are awesome, right up there with country tavern ribs in Kilgore (who by far have the best ribs in all of Texas). Rib cribs ribs are great. The meat just falls off the bone and are just wonderful. We ordered carry out twice now and can't say enough about these ribs. We also like the pulled pork and baked beans. The brisket was super super dry and a waste of money. The turkey was extremely salty and ended up in the trash. This place is called rib crib for a reason, they make great ribs. Stick to ribs and you won't be disappointed.

    Chopped brisket from rib crib

Today we went to rib crib for lunch. We don't go here to often due to price. Typically we are pretty happy with their food. However today we were not.. I ordered the potato skins, not bad but.. The skin was so hard it was very difficult to cut with a knife and it is hard to pick up because everything would have fallen off. My husband ordered the four meat, double ribs and sliced brisket. His food came out and we noticed how thick the brisket was cut, like 3/4" which normally it's what 1/4" thick. Well he found out why pretty quickly. It was very very dry. He told the waiter which said we'll get ya some chopped brisket cause that's usually more moist. They brought that out and it looked as though the chopped brisket was put on flat top with a bunch of oil and heated it. We did tell the waiter we were not happy with the food and all he said was I'm sorry and quickly walked away. Now.. normally I would not complain so much but... this lunch was over $60. That's crazy expensive and we should be walking out saying that was worth it. It was not.. here is a pic of the chopped brisket Think we'll be taking a hiatus from rib crib for a while

I always have low expectations of restaurants in small towns but I was pleasantly surprised here! Greenville's food options can be hit or miss and since it's a small town, you feel like you don't have options besides the chain restaurants. I have came here 2x for weekday lunch and weekend dinner. Lunch is busy but there is no wait which is good. As for weekend, expect a bit of wait. I have tried their loaded baked potato which is ok but their salads are better. There's a chicken salad which comes with quesadilla pieces and it's pretty good. The bbq chicken salad is tasty as well but their PIGMAN is AMAZING. I say AMAZING because it was a juicy, fatty sandwich of brisket, sausage, and pickles. I was so satisfied with every bite i took and the oily juices running down my fingers. Definitely not a lady food but if you're going to eat a meaty sandwich, I'm not sure if there's a lady like way. It was so good that I think about the sandwich and can't wait to get another one! Service is super nice and food comes out fast! It's great for lunch breaks bc you only have so much time! I love their sandwiches!!!!!!!

Poor management. Out of everything we wanted. I've been to two other RibCribs and they were well run. Not here. Don't go.

Service wasn't good, portions were not worth the price. Taste was ok, I will not be hurrying back.

The service was good, but I would not say this place serves BBQ. It tasted as if it were oven baked.

In the Greenville tx area on business then heading back to Dallas. Traffic came to a full stop…read more So,I decided to take the next exit and have a BBQ sandwich at Bakers Ribs. They've been around long before the current BBQ craze. I used to eat at their Dallas Location back in the 1990s but, haven't been in 25 years. After fighting major construction congestion and stop and go detours,I finally pulled into the pot holed, gravel parking lot in front of the red 1980ish red metal building that is Bakers Ribs . I was also in search of The Original Fried Pie Company which happened to share space . Entering I found what I expected. Well worn old school roadside Texas BBQ place, just getting by . As with almost everyone else, they've upgraded to a thin screen digital overhead menu. I hate those things because they have no soul...yada,yada,yada I ordered the chopped beef sandwich and waited about five minutes for the few in front of me to gradually get their order filled by the one person, chopping meat, frying fries and filling orders . The vibe is worn out ,we tried western kitch decor in 1980. That's ok but, this is a sad little place that's seen its better day. Regressing slightly. When I first entered a case of various fried pies was the first thing I came to. More on that later . Pouring myself a unsweetened ice tea,I sat down to hopefully enjoy my sandwich. It was better than I expected, and after doctoring it up with onions, jalapeno, pickles and sauce,it passed my test, barely. I wish them well but,I probably won't go back. The owners need to either recomit to increasing the quality of their food and service or? Now to the fried pies. Yumalicious! I bought 6 at $3 75 each. 2 Cherry,2 Apple,2 Peach. I put three in the freezer and left the others out for consumption. Wow. Warmed up under the broiler and served alongside BlueBell Vanilla, niezzzz! Overall my experience was a whiff of the past. That going, going, gone place on the side of the highway that's just good enough to keep you going ,to the next detour.

Amazing brisket. Friendly folks working there. Reasonable prices. Pies look great for later!read more

Taqueria review: I'm…read moregonna let you know, first of all, that I'm deeply obsessed with tacos. I'm not talking about American tacos, which are more akin to cheeseburgers with chili powder on a flour tortilla, but the Mexican variety, which are on corn tortillas with onion and cilantro. I'm not necessarily reviewing this restaurant as a complete restaurant experience but just on its ability to make amazing tacos, specifically Tacos al Pastor, a variety of spicy pork taco. Like any good Taqueria, this place shares space with a gas station. This is usually the mark of authenticity. As most places do around here, you receive your tacos with two warm corn tortillas piece. The meat is as it should be, not too wet not too dry, and just tender enough to chew through easily. The amount of cilantro and onion are perfect, and the salsa Verde comes in a plastic baggie that I prefer to bite the bottom off of so I can squeeze it out like a pastry bag. The amount of spice from the pork and the salsa are just right and the flavors all work together well. Limes are standard as they should be and really add to the flavor. These are definitely the best Tacos al Pastor in Greenville, and if you can go on Mondays or Thursdays, each taco is only $.99. otherwise they are only $1.59 apiece. I got six of them for $10 on a Friday and $6 on a Monday. One of the best things about this restaurant, which may annoy some, is the quaint cultural differences between taquerias and most fast food restaurants. Whereas most taquerias are cash only establishments, this one accepts credit card; however, you have to go to the gas station side to pay and then bring your receipt back to the cooks. Believe it or not this is somewhat standard and, to me, quite delightful as an experience. I will be coming back a lot and sitting in the booth waiting for my six tacos to go. If you have never tried Mexican tacos before, give them a try; and if you get your first Mexican tacos here, you may never want to eat American-style again.
