Husband and I were driving through Cuero and I had a sudden craving for a Butterfinger Blizzard. Went through the drive through. The mere we're 3 cars in front of us but they were served quickly. This has got to be the busiest Dairy Queen I have ever seen. That does not make it the best, or even acceptable in my book. The staff seems to be completely overwhelmed, barely making their orders out, much less making it a pleasant experience here. Since the staff was so busy, the tables don't get wiped down, and are in filthy condition. The floors are sticky. Most of the supplies for lids on cups, silverware, napkins are out. I ordered a Blizzard, and was surprised at how little time and effort went into making it. They seemed so busy, that they barely had time to whip one up. At least they did serve it upside down like they're supposed to. From my seat on the inside, I watched the drive-thru line snake out to the street, as they were so slow in getting the orders out, the drive thru people would have had better luck just parking and coming inside. The restrooms were in filthy condition. I felt disgusting just going in there. This DQ needs to get their act together. read more

This is the worst DQ, EVER! The staff is ignorant, rude, and honestly stupid. I am never going back, and I highly recommend you don't either. They got my order wrong, then blamed it on me. They also made me pay extra charges four different times because of their mistake. I've never had so much trouble ordering food! I'm not sure if they were drunk or on drugs but it was so unacceptable. The staff also yelled at each other constantly, it was pretty ridiculous. I can't believe this location hasn't been shut down. I am so ashamed of DQs, I've always been so impressed but not now. I visited at 10pm, getting food for my crew since they worked overtime. Worst idea ever. Conclusion: THIS PLACE SUCKS! read more

Nice place to stop at in Cuero, Texas. I've been to a million DQ's. Ok, maybe not a million but enough to know which ones to stop at and which ones to avoid. This one is standard. It's an obvious stop for the locals who had the place busy. Thankfully we only stopped for the blizzards and an ummm "break" They had one, lonely girl managing the cash registers. No welcoming, we had to kind of introduce our order nicely. Only blizzards and some soft serve ice cream cones. Their menu was the same as all others. This restaurant is ancient, but you can't fault them for their lack of updates. We've been spoiled by all the city DQ's. The restrooms were women and a one for everyone else. Neither were clean, but with kids you have to figure out a way. Yes! A mom can always make a way! As I said, they need a lot of updates. The spiders and bugs hanging from the ceiling were not a pleasant site and frightened my kiddos. "Don't look at the ceiling!" "Don't touch the walls!" "No, don't sit there!" Tables needed cleaning and so did their equipment. The ice cream was great. The restaurant not so much. Probably didn't help they lack the proper warning signs when entering or leaving. No yellow paint or sign to warn you to watch your step! There it goes to 2 stars. I fell. Yikes!! While exiting I missed my footing and fell. Scared everyone around me. I'm ok. Yes, it hurt and my knees are majorly bruised up. Do I post photos of this? No, not sure I want my bruised knees for all eyes to see. Ok- maybe one. read more

I just probably had the worst experience EVER with a Dairy Queen I ordered a child's hamburger meal and a drink for my grandson. At the window, I paid and was handed my drink and told to drive around to the front and wait for the meal to come out. After my grandson said that some people parked next to us had came after us, gone in, eaten and were leaving. I looked at the clock and 22 minutes had passed since we started waiting. I drove back to the drive thru and was asked "What would I like to order?" I said that we'd been waiting over 20 minutes and hadn't gotten our food. The window person walked around and picked up a bag off of the counter and handed it to me. It was cold. I asked "how long had it been just sitting there" and she said, "I don't know!" No offer to replace our meal with a warm one was offered? This franchise owner needs help. read more

This IS the busiest DQ on the planet, it is known. I don't really eat much fast food or at chains, but DQ always makes everything fresh...which is why it takes so dang long. I'm thinking they need to open up a 2nd location in Cuero, because this one is always slammed. read more

It's a Dairy Queen. Steak finger basket was average, with generic meat fingers and lukewarm fries and gravy. The Texas toast was probably toasted earlier and nuked for a few seconds, making it warm and stale at the same time. A pretty great little Dairy Queen. The food is good and it's usually not too busy. The drive thru is worthless, though. They'll have you wait in the parking lot for your food and bring it to you. Sometimes this will take longer than actually going inside. read more

It took way too long to get our food. Two other tables eating inside and three cars were served before us. Yes, I counted. It took that long! When we ordered I told the server that I wanted a lemon wedge with my salad. When it arrived we were told that they have no lemon at all - not even lemon juice. Communication of this fact when we ordered would have been nice! The tea was the absolute worst ever! Don't waste your time stopping here. We drove through on our way back from vacation in the gulf and this was a wonderful place to eat! The people, including customers, were all friendly and happy. The food was superb. The bathrooms and eating area was clean. We will definitely be back! read more

Went through the drive through here last Monday afternoon which was a holiday weekend, but they were not that busy. 42 minutes went by between the time I ordered and the time I had the food handed to me in my car ( 1 combo meal, a kids meal, and 3 blizzard/shakes). That wasn't even the only issue, I had no less than 4 things missing or wrong with the order from what they read back to me at the end of my order. Best bet would be to just wait till the next town to stop, either that or go in if you aren't in a hurry cuz that stop was rough on our drive back home... Won't be stopping at this DQ again. read more
