I don't do too much fast food, but this Dairy Queen was very convenient when diving at Bonne Terre mine. Ordered the chicken strip basket and they actually had gravy, which I have fond memories of getting on road trips as a kid. Happily, the meal I got was freshly made and was just as good/better than I remembered as a kid. Overall: I had a better than average experience for a fast food place. I guess I should have sat in the drive thru and tried every item I ordered before I pulled away. It is a 15 minute in each direction trip to get to Dairy Queen for us. Yes, this is a huge inconvenience for us and I am sure that is why the sign is on the window that states "If you don't like it RETURN it," they are banking on it being a drive as we live in a rural area. I was really craving their Chicken Strips and Strawberry Cheesecake Blizzard. I get all the way home to find that I received a Peanut butter Blizzard instead of a strawberry cheesecake one. Obviously, there is a known issue with accuracy in the orders, or they would not have a sign. I will just head into Farmington for Dairy Queen from here on out. I haven't had an issue with my order there and I don't have to try everything before I pull away. read more

I usually like DQ, but the Farmington location is not the best. My grandson ordered on line and picked up the food. When he got home, one person's food was missing. He drove back to the restaurant and they refused to give him the missing items. His family won't go there again and I won't either because of the way they treated him.they refused to refund the money or give him the missing items. I didn't get my sauce. I couldn't buy a chicken basket with out a drink I didn't want. I asked for a vanilla shake and they tried asking me what flavor I wanted for a Sunday. Then was rude about it and said "so you don't want the Sunday" I said " no I told you I want a chicken basket with a vanilla shake. This Dairy Queen is fine nothing special. I will say that Dairy Queen as a whole company has changed their sizes (but not the prices) and you get substantially smaller sizes then they used to serve. I wish fast food would all have universal sizes. read more

In a recent trip to my local Dairy Queen, I was appalled about the service I received. As with many fast-food restaurants, prices have increased, but the service is still remotely professional. Not with the Bonne Terre DQ. When I arrived to the window on a slow day, I observed a worker holding my shake and simply gazing out of the window at nothing. A young man came to the counter and took my card without even saying anything. He simply put out his hand and accepted the payment. After waiting a minute, with the lady continuing to stand with my ice cream as if she were catatonic, the man returned with a clipboard and a receipt to sign. When I looked at him, he didn't do anything except hand it to me. He said nothing. When I handed the clipboard back, I was shocked to see his hand down the frontside of his pants and moving around! I know that lots of things happen in fast food restaurants, but in front of the customer? He removed his hand, wiped it on his DQ apron, and silently handed me my ice cream.
