When this fast food restaurant opened it was so clean and there was an older adult overseeing the employees. It is now so dirty and the women's bathroom smells absolutely disgusting. The one stall door is a piece of heavy wood and the outside appearance of this restaurant is not good. Garbage everywhere and the tables were dirty. Good basic fast food served quickly and at a fair price. Been about a half a dozen times since we moved to Denver about a year and a half ago. So far every time has been good. Food is always hot and fresh and made to order and not under a heat lamp to dry out, Staff is courteous and patient Only thing I've tried that I did not like was the Flamethrower Burger because I did not like the sauce and not that it was too hot. Just did not like the taste. The 1/4 lb Cheeseburger Combo is excellent as are the Chili Dogs as is the Crispy Fish Sandwich. This is a new location so they don't really have their stuff together yet, but that's the only reason it's not a 5. It's weird that they bring the order to the table even though we only ordered ice cream (and an ice). This order took about 10 minutes. One order was wrong, and the waitress said "Strawberry ice" when it was a cherry ice. No big deal, but ice cream is not something you want to wait for (so they can bring everything together) because ice cream melts. I'd rather just wait at the counter. All is good, though. The employees were friendly and the ice cream was excellent! I think I even like it better than Carvel, and I love Carvel, so that's saying a lot. Here's something interesting you might learn from this review. My brother-in-law once told me that Dairy Queen isn't ice cream. I asked him what is was then ... bacon? He said no, that it just wasn't ice cream. So, I just looked it up. According to Dairy Queen, they only use 5% butterfat. Therefore, it's not ice cream, which is 10% butterfat. According to Dairy Queen, it's just "soft serve," but not ice cream. Give me a break. It's dairy, so it's ice cream. Who says, "Hey, want to go get some soft serve?" Have you ever heard anyone say that? They say, "Hey, want to get some ice cream?" Or at least, "Hey, want to go get some soft serve ice cream?" I wouldn't want to hang out with that last one though. So we pull up to the order drive through speaker and can barely hear male taking order. We then pull up to drive through window and a young lady opens window and does not look happy nor pleasant. Zero personality. Maybe she hates her job? She hands us our pup cup and two blizzards. I ordered a large brownie batter( I've ordered 3 or 4 since they have been brought back). The brownie batter wasn't to the top and did not have chocolate syrup in it. I told her it was wrong and her response was "we didn't have all the ingredients " and the order taker should have told us". No more no less.... Terrible customer service!!! read more

This evening, I went through the drive thru and ordered a couple of blizzards for my wife and myself. I ordered two peanut butter pie blizzards and added brownie. I received my order and drove home. I live in Stanley, about 10 min. From this location. I get home, and for the second time this year already, they didn't add the brownie in either one. You definitely charged me for it, though. Very disappointing!! And I'm out a couple of bucks paying for something I never received is unacceptable business. If you don't have it, don't sell it. The ice cream is maybe the best I have ever had service is very good even though they don't have chocolate sprinkles only rainbow sprinkles I believe if it's a ice cream place they should have chocolate sprinkles maybe they are trying to represent the new day. Drove to this DQ tonight at 416 Atwater Ln Denver, NC 28037 to get some ice cream after a movie to top off the night. As we pull up to the store, we noticed that the parking lot/drive-thru is blocked off with cones. It was 9:20pm. I figured maybe they were closed. I looked online and noticed that they in fact were supposed to be open until 10pm. So, I called the store curious if they were open or not. As soon as someone answers I hear laughter in the background. The person who answered seemed annoyed that they had a call to begin with. I asked if they were open or not and their response along with the staff in the background was definitely not one I expected. The gentleman told me "does it look like we're open?" As everyone in the background laughed. Then he proceeded to tell me that they had ran out of ice cream. Once he said that, another staff member in the background shouted "we're like Mc Donald's, our ice cream machine is down" only to be followed by another man shouting "F*#% them, we are Cloosseedddd!" Very loudly. Then they all laughed. After that he asked me if there's anything else I needed, to which I responded no and then he hung up on me. I've been to this location a couple of times since it's the closest location to where I live. But I can assure you that after this experience, I'll be supporting another business instead. Seems like good customer service is hard to find these days. A simple "I'm sorry, we had to close early due to a shortage of supplies" would've sufficed. read more

The burgers are horrible!!! There chewy and hard to eat. The fries seem stale. The blizzard is not even good. I only liked the mint one but that's because it was just mint. Sadly they got rid of it, even though it was still on the menu.....But if you get any other blizzard the bottom half will just be vanilla and the rest is the blizzard. Haven't been inside because of my experience with the drive thru. It was slow being how bad the food and blizzards were. read more

Staff is rude. We got 4 blizzards and when I get to the window, the person who took my payment didn't say a word and looked miserable. The blizzards were so melted when they handed them out that it made a mess in my car just from the DT window to a parking spot. We also heard one of the employees in the back say that they didn't have 2 of the ingredients to make our blizzards. They handed them out anyway and didn't tell us that our blizzards were going to be missing any ingredients. Just disappointed that for $20 we got melted ice cream that was missing half of the ingredients. read more

Went for lunch, got a grilled chicken salad, and thousand island dressing, went back to work. Opened it, lettuce was rotted, scooped it all out and just had 4 small pieces of grilled chicken left. Was going to salvage some of this meal by using the dressing as a dip, put it in my plate, and it was so bad, its smell filled the break room. Daughter treated me to lunch here Sat. 1/5 after helping her and the son-in-law haul off a bunch of junk from their out building. Got there around 2 pm and it was pretty full. Girl at the register apologized for what we thought was only a very short wait. I ordered the 4 pc chicken strips basket with fries and 1 piece of Texas toast. I got country gravy for my dippin' sauce which to I added a lot of black pepper to turn it in to country pepper gravy. Tenders were, well tender and not greasy, fries hot and crispy. The gravy had good flavor but was way thinner than I prefer my gravy and no where near as thick as it's shown on the tv commercials. Daughter got a 5 buck lunch which was a crispy chicken salad, a drink and a sundae. Granddaughter got a kids cheeseburger meal which included fries, a drink and a small cone. Food was good and priced right. Employees and managers were circulating checking to see if everything was ok, if you needed anything else and taking away trash from your table. Daughter and granddaughter have been multiple times already since they opened. First time for me and I would return with food and service we received today. I just hope this place doesn't get the Denver "curse" which is after about a year or so of opening food or service or both goes down hill to the point the place is not worth going to any more. read more

Rude Manager!! Just went through the drive thru and asked for Plain cheesecake blizzards. Got to the window and the blizzards were strawberry cheesecake (my kids don't like strawberries, hence the reason I asked for plain cheesecake). The employees were nice about it and remade the blizzards, but the replacements had strawberries also. We explained that we just wanted cheesecake, no strawberries. The employee at the window understood and went to correct the order, however the manager shouted in the background for us to "Just buy what we make!" We were polite the entire time bc mistakes happen and it's understandable, but it was unnecessary for the rude comments especially from management...Also, right before pulling off the employee was telling us how to order next time to avoid any confusion, and the manager chimed in again , "just tell them to go because they're holding up the drive thru line!" Management should really be setting a better example for employees. read more
