The food is absolutely amazing, and surprising for the area. You'd never expect to find a place quite like it, then you walk inside and are met with a surprise. The staff is always professional, courteous, and well versed. I've never had a dish that either didn't meet expectations, or blew expectations out of the water. Between proportions, quality, and plating, they leave very little to be desired. We had a wonderful dining experience at Chillfire Bar and Grill! Even though we didn't have a reservation we were seated right away. Our waitress was incredibly helpful and friendly, and she made sure our water glasses were never empty throughout the night. The ambience is typical of a bar and grill spot featuring a mix of tucked away tables and ones right in the traffic of things. It also has a large bar area that seems to offer full service from the menu as well. The noise level was normal for a place of this size with a welcoming crowd ranging from first dates to multiple generations of families, dining out! We started with the calamari and it was delicious better than expected! I love the simple, red pasta sauce served alongside it! For the main course, my husband ordered the fillet and scallops and completely devoured it. The steak cut like butter and the scallops were huge, so even though there were only three of them, they were definitely filling. I ordered the ribs with the side of sautéed garlic, green beans, and and thoroughly enjoyed my meal as well. I usually prefer a slightly sweeter barbecue sauce, but their version was still very good. We also ordered a side of the mushrooms in a Demi Glace sauce, but we both found it a bit too rich and could only manage a few bites. We finished our meal with the Keylime pie and it was easily one of the best I've ever tasted and I have had some good ones. First time here with large group. Ordered the braised short ribs with mashed potatoes. Wow, 2 large pieces of meat, which was so soft I ate it with only a fork. The potatoes had scallion and bacon whipped in. All delicious! Also had a Titos and Tonic to start, great drink with no skimping on the vodka. Had a Stella on tap with meal which was served in a large glass and was I've cold. Service was outstanding, nonalcoholic drinks were refilled without asking, manager stopped by to see how things were going and waitress stood on a chair to take a group photo of group - to get all in. Although the restaurant noise level was a little loud, it was from all having a good time. Bar area was packed as well. No complaints and will be back. read more

Food was really good! We ordered cheese bread for an appetizer, then the chicken club and the shrimp tacos, which were super yummy. However, our server Dani was pretty unprofessional. She had forgotten a couple things we had ordered, and had plenty of backhanded comments and rude looks to back it up. Getting refills took a long while. It was very apparent towards the end of our meal that she was rushing us out. We had gone when they first opened it but never retuned until recently. It wasn't nearly as good as its sister restaurants which we adored. Decided to give it another chance to celebrate my birthday which by the way went unrecognized by the waitress or the restaurant despite them knowing the reason for our celebration. The entrees were good. Not great. We decided to split a wedge salad with our dinner and although they provided a plate they did not split the salad or provide anything with which to cut it. My family and I had Thanksgiving dinner here. The location is great, as well as parking, no problem finding a space. It was fairly busy during the time of our seating and reservation, although it was towards the latter time period. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server Nelson was very friendly, helpful and timely. She took great care of us. She even was great at avoiding a collision (she gains extra points for juggling) . The food was tasty; we had both the Turkey and Ham (2/1); the accompanying sides were good as well, I only wish the temperature of the food was hotter (no request was made to take food in the back for heating - I'm sure some could understand ). The atmosphere was great, warm and inviting, hospitality staff checked on us to make sure we were ok. The bartender made excellent cocktails. Was 5 stars, now 1 star. Not a fine dining experience, but charging fine dining prices. $100 for a meal for one with 2 beers, worth it if the food and service are excellent. Neither was the case. Service has completely dropped off, bar staff just don't seem to care. Completely obnoxious group cursing and talking loud at the end of the bar making vulgar comments... no one addresses it, just serve them more alcohol... food was ok at best, overseasoned filets that were not hot when served, not that anyone ever checked... beer glass sat empty and was removed without even asking for refill. Just a pretty crappy experience to spend $100 on... probably will not ever be back. read more

We had an amazing meal at Chillfire. The service was great from the moment we entered until we left. Especially our waiter. The food came out fast and was delicious. The restaurant was beautiful. Restrooms were clean. Everything was perfect. I was afraid there would be a long wait given it was a weekend evening, but the restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. There were plenty of available tables and staff, even at 6 pm on a Saturday. We had the poutine appetizer which was very good. It was piled high with toppings and piping hot. I was a bit surprised that the fries seemed more like McDonald's fries than the ones cut in house but they were cooked nice and crispy and worked well with the gravy. For entrees I ordered the Oak Island, which was a 6 oz filet with scallops and side of creamed spinach. My husband ordered the prime rib that was one of the specials that day. He was going to order the queen cut but the waiter said it was only $4 difference for the king, so why not go big. He chose the potato hash as his side. Everything was delicious! The scallops were cooked perfectly, as was the filet. It had a perfect sear while still being a perfect medium through the center. The bacon vinaigrette was a perfect sauce, sweeter than I expected from a vinaigrette which I thought complimented the scallops well. The prime rib was a huge cut and cooked to be a perfect rare. I'm not usually one to order rare myself but being prime rib, it seems to be the way to go. I tried a few bites and it was very tasty. Especially with the au jus to dip it in. The potato hash was a great choice for fhe. The sauce was so creamy and the portion was huge. We both left miserably full but enjoyed every minute of it.
