Liked the meal, and the service was not bad. But this place is so busy at dinner time the line just never ends and it takes a long long time to get through the drive-thru. First of all, I live in Danville but prefer Harrodsburg as they are always friendly, pleasant. I was by there this morning between 9:00-9:15. When I got to the window I gave her my card & before I could tell her I wanted the senior discount she slid the window shut. I tried to wave/flag her but she didn't open the window (or ignored me!?). When she opened the window I told her I was trying to get the senior discount.Her response , "It's too late it's already rang up! GRRRR! Then when she handed me my food i asked about jelly and she said, "It's in there." WELL.... It wasn't! Generally this DQ automatically puts jelly in there which is nice. Was very clean even the bathroom door was duct taped. The lady that took our order was super nice and even offered us directions for travel to Lexington. The food was all cooked well except a fish sandwich which was slightly overcooked. read more

This was our first visit to this DQ after moving to Harrodsburg a month ago. Very friendly staff at the drive thru, blizzard was great as was the chocolate dilly bar. Super confused though with the no chocolate ice cream. My husband always gets a chocolate ice cream sundae with marshmallow topping. Just wondering if this is a local thing or Kentucky thing to not have chocolate soft serve at DQ? Every location we have ever been at before all of the country has had chocolate ice cream. read more

The Harrodsburg store has to have a sign on their speaker saying not to cuss their employees out. Today, I figured out why. I ordered my food from one girl and a different girl was there to take my money. Only she literally RIPPED it from my hand and then handed my change back and told me to pull up, she would bring it out WHEN SHE FELT LIKE IT. I was sure I had misheard so I asked again and she said she would bring it out when she FELT LIKE IT!! (I had no interaction with her prior to her ripping the money out of my hand.) So I politely asked for my money back and she refused, said they don't do that and said I was going to have to wait until she felt like bringing my food out! So I pulled around and went inside to talk to a manager. Well, her sister is the manager and to my surprise was just as rude as she was. She didn't even know why I was in there yet and was already being rude taking up for her sister. Then they yell for mom and I say yes, let me talk to your mom please. Their mother is the owner and was so nice. Said she'd take care of it, whatever that means. But it was clear today that at least one of those daughters runs the show there, ergo the "don't cuss my daughters out" sign. My family visits this store at least twice a week every week and spends at least $400-500 monthly. We will never go again. read more

Food was okay. But we waited in the drive thru for 35 minutes. The person who took our order was very rude and would not let us finish speaking, kept interrupting. When we got to the window I asked them to change my fry to a large please and the teenager working the window was very rude as well. Blatantly ignoring people, goofing off with ice cream in hand. This place used to be good. My chicken strips weren't honey bbq they had the sauce lightly glazed over them, you are supposed to toss the tenders in the sauce. walked in for a blizzard. there must of been 500 flys swarming my face and the food. They had someone with a fly swatter killing flys on the menu board above the food warming station. While he made my blizzard he kept licking his fingers to get the ice cream off. it was a blistering 82 inside at 8pm and it was so smokey my eyes started watering. I have held off on this review to allow new for ownership adjustments. Sadly, this is not a positive review. not so long ago, we used to brag that our DQ was the best around, but I can't say that anymore. When the business changed ownership, poor decisions were made and the quality dropped tremendously. This evening my husband watched as the kitchen staff took our hamburgers that were precooked and placed them each in a microwave. A microwave. It was obvious the burgers had just been sitting around. They were very dry. By the way, that was his second trip there, because they got our original drive-thru order wrong. The DQ fries used to be AWESOME, now they are soggy and limp. Chicken tenders used to be plump and juicy, now they are 1/2 the size and dry, rubbery want-to-bes. I am so sorry to see how far this restaurant as fallen given the fact that we already have so few options in Harrodsburg. It is my opinion that the current owner should rethink the way things are being done on her watch. Don't worry so much about your employ's feelings when they get orders wrong and more about customer service and satisfaction We miss you Mr. Larry Kelly. read more
