Now, a note to fellow truck drivers, there is only room here for one big rig at a time. We went through the truckers entrance and straight to the restrooms. The restrooms smelled clean and just needed a little sweeping. Both the Men's and Women's were solo restrooms. The cold water was freezing like it was well water. It looks inside, that a lot of things have been shut off from the public use temporarily. There are papers posted all over with new COVID-19 hours, frozen drinks are shut down, cold foods need to be ordered up front along with the pizza'd. We grabbed two cheese sticks and some snickerdoodle cookies for later. At the cash register, we met Cody. He smiled and greeted us, then asked us to stand behind the tape on the floor. We didn't see the tape till he pointed it out. My husband said he wasn't going to stretch forward to put his card in the machine and enter his pin for fear of falling. So, without getting upset Cody, staying professional, just took some steps back. He said his job is on the line with all the new rules, which is awful...surely they can follow simple rules without having to worry about their jobs. We paid and wished Cody farewell. Back at the truck we started conversing about all the different businesses and what they offer that other businesses don't. Cody had sounded shocked when we told him not all Casey's are so strict like the ones back in Oklahoma. It may be just up to the manager what is decided at each store.

This should have sent us running, but it was a short line and we were hungry. The cashier had no expression, struggled to take our order, and stood staring at the register for a long time between each person's order (very long awkward silence). After we ordered, we began noticing how filthy the restaurant was. I took pictures and have included them with this review. The saving grace was that the shakes were amazing as always! The other food had great flavor, but was sloppily made and put together, matching the appearance of the restaurant. Ketchup on the outside of the bun and all over the wrapper. Broken bun...messy to eat. Condiments that were requested to be removed were on burger. Overall, it was the worst Braums experience we have ever had. With that said, if you've never had Braum's, you should...just not in Great Bend, Kansas.

The girl told me her favorite was pumpkin spice, so I decided to give it a try and of course it did not disappoint. It taste just like a pumpkin pie. The service was great. They were attentive. They were quick to serve all the guest and answer all questions and give recommendations. The ambience is cute. It's simple with a little bit of retro vibe. The ice cream shop is very clean inside and they have outside seating. That was also very well kept up no garbage on the ground and the parking is a right directly in front of the ice cream shop. If you want a great BLT, you'll find one at City Sundries. They were super busy when we visited, and I was super hungry and bummed because I thought I might have to wait a long time to get my food, but the lone lady working behind the counter was whipping around taking orders and making food as fast as she could, and she did a great job. I didn't have to wait long at all for my food despite how busy they were. Two interesting things about City Sundries. One, there's a room upstairs with lots of games, a pool table, foosball, an old-school arcade game and couches to sit on and hang out. And two, this place is also a store with lots of gifts to purchase. (I guess that's where the "sundries" part of the name comes in.)

They have a good selection of custom burgers which you can easily make a double or triple. The Onion rings (thick not thin) were served hot, very good and a large portion for the price. We loved that the french fries were curly, but seemed to be only average in taste. Overall, I was very pleased with our order and feel the 4.5 stars which is the average is reasonable. We wandered into the shop, and the first thing that struck me was the delicious smell. They make their own waffle cones here, as well as stroopwafels and sundae bowls. I got a kid-sized scoop of banana cream pie ice cream. Like I said, I don't like ice cream, but I love banana cream pie, so if you put it in ice cream, I will order it and love it. The banana cream pie ice cream at Indigo Moo'd is amazing. My only regret is that I wish I would have ordered a bigger size. They have a lot of the classic flavors, but also flavors like salted caramel, kringler, lingonberry, coffee and others. All of the ice cream is made in-house, and you can tell because it's fresh and creamy. The ice cream parlor itself is located in a cute space that looks like the outside of a town square (but it's indoors), if that makes sense. There are several tables in the shop, so you can stay a while and enjoy your ice cream there. My friends and I got our ice cream to go and ate it while waking around downtown Lindsborg.
