While visiting family, we all happened to see a Dairy Queen commercial, and several of us commented that it sounded pretty good. Later that evening, after dinner at a family member's home, someone suggested Dairy Queen for dessert. We learned it was only about a mile down the road, so we offered to run out and pick it up. The order included a large hot fudge sundae, a medium caramel sundae with pecans, and a small Oreo Blizzard with extra Oreo. When we pulled in, the drive-through line was about six cars deep. It moved at a reasonable pace, and we were able to place our order without any issues. At the pickup window, we were handed our items but had to ask for a carrier. After pulling away, we noticed that the two sundaes appeared to be the same size. We're not entirely sure if sundaes actually come in different sizes, and nothing was mentioned at the time we placed the order. We also realized the caramel sundae did not include any pecans, and there was no comment about that omission. We were provided spoons, but no napkins. Since we didn't ask for a receipt, there was no easy way to confirm whether the order had been entered correctly. In the end, everyone enjoyed their dessert, and no one felt it was worth turning back. We chalked it up to a fairly typical fast-food experience, nothing exceptional, but satisfactory enough for a quick and convenient treat. The peanut buster parfait was ok. Hot fudge was not hot. It had crystallized in the layers. The service was fast because we were the only inside customers. The place was filthy! There was not a clean table in the dining room. My shoes stuck to the floor at the order desk. The floor was full of trash and food that should have been swept up as the day progressed. When I brought this condition to the manager's attention, his response was they had been busy and not enough help. He dismissed me. Funny how the help had time to stand around and talk with each other.... I have been going to this location since it was built and I've never seen it so dirty. I get the frustration of wearing a mask, & I understand how hard it is working fast food. I use to love coming to this location. I was always greeted nicely and never had an order gone wrong. But what I witnessed today was just horrible. The woman at the window was so sweet and friendly. She had to change out her gloves and was looking all over the restaurant for replacements. We ordered 6 sundaes and the strawberry ones came with a tiny drop of strawberry and so I asked the worker what kind of sundae it was and with an attitude he said "uh strawberry" and I let him know there is nothing on it to be a strawberry sundae. and he went to fix it and I heard them talking and said some rude things, and when the worker came back to give us the sundae their co worker he was talking to about me, came around the corner just to look at who was the one that complained. Our most recent visit to this location was the last straw for us. The lines always take a lot longer than they should for how many people are working. But while sitting in the drive through line we were able to see the girl running the drive thru register eating while she was working, another girl playing with her hair and then touching food products, and even this other employee eating some of the ice cream before throwing it away. We were honestly blown away by what we saw in the short amount of time watching as we waited to get to the window. Makes you wonder if you're getting clean food. I ordered lunch today, and m on a restrictive diet. I ordered a burger with no sauce, no cheese and no bun. How hard is that? Apparently very. I got home with a fully loaded burger including cheese, Mayo and bun. Additionally I ordered a no sugar added treat. When you only offer one no-sugar added treat, you should never run out, nor should you tell a customer you have been out for "couple of days." Super disappointing when evening the family but one gets to enjoy a treat. Just tried to go to the Dairy Queen in Keizer which is open until 12am, however when we pull up to the drive-thru around 9:10pm the employee alerts us that no ice-cream or dessert items can be ordered as they have to clean their machines each night and they have started that already. So what exactly is the point of being open until 12am if almost 3 hours before then you stop making most of the items available, especially the items which Dairy Queen is known for- Blizzards and other shakes, ice creams, etc. Most people go here for these items. Perhaps you should do the cleaning work which requires you to shut down all of your equipment after you close, otherwise what is the point of being open and also, why exactly does it take 3 hours to clean ice cream machines, seems like a bit much. read more

My wife and I were craving Blizzards this last Monday and decided to visit the Keizer DQ dining room. We weren't greeted when we came in and it took a while for someone to finally take our order. Not a big deal as I could see the drive thru was busy. We placed our order and as we sat down the nice lady that took out order had our blizzards done and brought to our table. What a waste. We have watched this place go down hill now about a year and it's not getting any better. Went today and got sundae and banana split. When I got my banana split it was like some kid had made it and played in it. Toppings on the top of the plastic and not in the dish. Not pretty when handed to me. Took it back and asked they remake it. Clerk got an attitude and I said well it looks crappy and not something I would hand a customer. Finally got a new one and it to was throw together sloppily.
