We called to cancel our order so they didn't have to go through the process of making it for no reason so we call, the lady was super rude saying she can't talk to us because of how busy it was and we completely understood and she said she'd call us back later. 45 minutes go back so we call back because we assume the ONLINE order for pickup would be made in that amount of time , right? No. She was very very rude and extremely disrespectful saying how long of a process it was to go through with a refund and she'll call back "sometime tonight". Okay greatttt. This was a DoorDash order I ordered the double cheese burger and fries. I didn't want both meats, so I gave my husband one of the patties. The burger was really sloppy, but really good. The fries weee ice cold, so I didn't eat them. My husband had the flamethrower grill burger. It was double, but with my extra patty, it was a triple burger. He said it was really delicious, but his onion rings were ice cold. If we order here again, we will definitely call the store to request that we have hot fries and onion rings. read more

This location has been a joke for months. Last week there was a sign on the drive thru speaker said that due to staffing we will re open in 30 minutes? If that's not pathetic enough but 30 minutes from when? 5 minutes ago? 15 minutes ago? 27 minutes ago? Went to the drive thru tonight and no one was there but it took 2 minutes before someone responded and she said just a minute. I ordered 3 large blizzards went to the window and she handed me 3 small blizzards. I told her they were supposed to be larges and she said well the ticket says small. I cannot remember the last time I've had Dairy Queen - it could be safe to say, I've never had Dairy Queen? Please don't beat me. I grew up with an abundance of ice cream trucks serving up banana splits, soft serve and frozen bars. Bomb pops anyone? The locals seem to be over-excited about this place - I can see why. You can get a chicken tender meal, fries, medium drink and sundae - all for 5 bucks! It's comparable to carnival food, but cheaper. So far, I've had the peanut butter sundae and it was worth returning and bringing the kids. This DQ is horrible. We waited for 20 minutes for our food because my hubby upgraded to cheese curds instead of having fries. The woman at the window said they were waiting for the cheese curds to be done. Well joke was on us. The 8 cheese curds - yes 8!! that were upcharged $3.69 were the only thing that was warm. There 6 people just standing there and this poor girl was trying to take our order and she didn't have a clue what she was doing. She said someone was supposed to be training her. One of the best DQ's I have been to, if not THE best. The staff is amazingly helpful. I was a bit surprised on my first visit when the staff said take a seat, and brought my order to me. Then a bit later came out to make sure everything was not just OK, but good and pleasing. On another visit, as I entered, they let me know they were training new staff, so please be understanding and patient. Had they not told me, I would not have known because everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food is great tasting and made with care. My friends and I make sure to stop here on our long trips between Iowa to Chicago as a great break and a welcoming location. I would give higher stars if possible! Marjorie, manager at this location is lacking in her ability to provide any kind of customer service. She is rude, disrespectful and completely unprofessional. The male worker who took the order at the drive through erroneously rang up 2 floats instead of 3. He asked me to pull back around while he made it so that others behind me could get their orders. However, he was gone when I came back through and Marjorie was there. She was unable to help in anyway. She rigidly refused to address my issue and then when I asked her to make the missing float she said ok, walked away from the window and disappeared. They can't even get the simplest orders correct and when you politely ask for it to be rectified the manager on staff was less than educated on her comments and customer service skills were as we were bothering her. We walked in with our family at 11:20am and we were told it's gonna be about 20 minutes for the grease to heat up. All 6 of us left. I have gone to this Dairy Queen a couple times living in Ottawa. Every time we have gone to the drive thru and we haven't ordered much. But it always takes FOREVER. I worked at a Dairy Queen when I was a teenager and we had to have the people out of the drive thru in 3 mins and hopefully not longer than 5 mins. We have sat in line for 15 mins before and there's only been 2 cars. We went today for just ice cream and we were told to wait to order, they only had one car in the drive thru....so we waited and ordered our ice cream. I wanted a Peanut Butter Cup pie. It has graham base, peanut butter cups and pie pieces. And when I got it after 10 mins, there were no peanut butter cups. And I've gone before and my blizzard is always so empty! I know from my experience of working at a DQ that 2 scoops of peanut cups go into a small blizzard. My husband got a shake and he said it just tasted like vanilla ice cream and ended up throwing it away. We go to Dairy Queen for good ice cream, I like DQ but this one is not a good one. We spent $8 and we could have just thrown the money away instead. Also, why are you never open past 9pm even during the summer? Weird. read more
