Long-time customer. Never had a major issue but this location upcharged me on my online cake order. My online order receipt says 28.99, and I had a $3.00 off coupon. ( Should have been $25.99) They upcharged me to 31.99, and my final total was 28.99. The shift manager stated that the system had just been updated today. The price was still the same on the website. I would seriously watch out for their App taking your points away. I had 290 points removed saying they had expired. I received an email saying in 14 days I had 100 points that were expiring. I checked my points well before the 14 days and they took away 290 points. When I contacted their App helpline they said in their email there is nothing they could do. That it's just a courtesy that they send out an email 14 days in advance. I guess if their system takes away points from customers I wonder how much money their company saves, just a thought. I usually use the drive thru and have never had a problem. My order is always hot and accurate. I know people complain about the slow service but keep in mind this isn't a fast food place that makes batches of sandwiches and keeps them under a warmer. Your burger and fries are made to order. I haven't had a blizzard in quite some time, and my friends' kids were bored, so I took them all to the DQ on Hill Rd. Well, I know blizzards are pricey, but it's not something you have every day so the price didn't deter me. That is, until I got my blizzard and all it was was a melting mass of soft-serve ice-cream in a cup. (We had it there and ate right away, so it's not like it sat for a while). I had hoped for the Hawaiian blizzard I used to get, but they didn't have the ingredients, so I settled for the Banana Split sans the chocolate. (sigh) It wasn't thick and it didn't have anything in it: no fruit, no pieces, nothing to chew. I could have drank it with a straw. There were a few microscopic flakes of pineapple I could detect, and that was it. (I wish I'd snapped a picture). I spent $5+ for that tiny cup of goo. I could have bought 2 large containers of Breyer's ice cream at the grocery store, with real strawberries, etc., for that price. Evidently blizzards aren't blizzards anymore -- they are small cups of over-priced semi-melted flavorless milk blobs. I will never make that mistake again! read more

I never thought I would have to give such a negative review, especially since this is one of our favorite places for 1-on-1 hangouts (my wife and I frequent this location to sit outside and enjoy sundaes on summer weekends and days off). Keep in mind that this was one of those nights where business was slow, which is abnormal for a Saturday night in Pickerington. Even the drive-through had low-to-no traffic. The first thing I noticed was that their prep station had been removed. This is where you grab your condiments, straws, napkins, etc. The only place to go was the front counter, but not all items were there. The placed looked naked as a result, mainly because I'm so used to seeing it this way for years. What got me was the fact that there were 7 or 8 employees behind the counter, not all occupied. Why did this bother me? The dining room was a disaster! There were 3 small groups, seated and eating. Most of the other tables were a mess, with chairs in disarray. We got our food and, against my better judgment, decided to sit down and eat in. We found the best of the worst tables and wiped it down to sit. As I cleaned, I looked up at the employees, making sure to exaggerate my movements to make it evident that I was cleaning. One looked up at me, but made no gesture of acknowledgment, nor did he tell anyone else. I looked over at the next table and saw what appeared to be dried ketchup. C'mon, dude... I noticed that they had just recently painted, hence the faint smell in the area and the poorly removed caution tape (It was still wrapped around the freezer door handle and extra separate dining room door handle, across the room). There were huge patches of white, amidst the golden walls throughout, telling me that the area wasn't really ready for "dine in" eating. It appeared that they were in a rush to get customers back in. Who knows? I then noticed that we hadn't been given any straws, so I asked him to go back and ask for some. He stood there for a few moments before someone asked if they could help him. No, there weren't any straws at the new station. We stayed a good 30 minutes, watching the game on the screen, until we were the only customers left. For a good while, there was no one at the counter or in the drive-through. Several employees walked around behind the counter, talking. Two with drinks in their hands. One employee even came into the dining area with her meal, obviously on break. She found a clean(er) table and sat with her earphones on, playing with her phone. What in the hell happened to this place? For years, cleanliness appeared to be one of their priorities. I eventually heard someone say they were taking out the trash, but for the life of me, I didn't see anyone leave from that area. When we left, I sighed in disappointment as I tried to force the trash door open so I could empty my tray into the waste receptacle. I had to be careful, not to get ketchup on my clothes from the stains on the front of it. Have you caught the fact that I never mentioned the food? How in the heck do you make a chili cheese dog with zero taste? Unbelievable! The one in Canal Winchester scaulded my tongue, but was AMAZING, so I know it can taste better. I sincerely hope this was an isolated event, yet and still, management needs to have a serious meeting about this horrible performance. I expect so much better from this location. read more

The food is good, well the ice cream is good but I guess that's pretty hard to screw up. The service is slower then slow, and not much customer service to be honest. The kid behind the counter was chewing on a straw, sucking it in and pushing it out, then walked away to grab a napkin and was cleaning his ear wax out. Then another kid came and took our order, tonight was one of the faster times to get our blizzards, just under 8 minutes. The ladies restroom has 2, yes 2 toilets, looking at each other with no divider. Plenty of young adults working, but the place needs attention, wet seats, dirty booths ect. Then outside if you choose eat out there is fairly nice, but so many bees flying around the trash cans and come flying out when you toss your trash away. We like coming to this DQ restaurant in Pickerington and Canal Winchester. After the 5th time between both stores, i would not recommend the Chicken Strip basket. The strips consistently is overcooked And dry and quite inedible unless you smother it in white gravy. I went and ordered their new blizzard, "royal choco brownie extreme" the girl taking my order acted like she had no clue what I was talking about. After a couple minutes I was told to pull to the window. As she handed me my blizzard I was told it was royal Oreo. I told her that was not what I had ordered. She said that it was the chocolate brownie extreme and they just put it in the system wrong. After I had pulled away I noticed it was in fact Oreo and they had lied straight to my face. This dairy queen is average. They always have a bit of a line and a lot of teenagers working which i only mention because sometimes they're messing around but I haven't had much issue. Even before covid this DQ was hit or miss. The teenagers inside forget things in our order everytime we decide to go and they're pretty slow. Conversations are more important than customers. The frozen treats are usually ok, just sometimes your blizzard or shake wine be mixed all the way. To the PR person commenting- it's been this way for 5 years. We've given you lots of chances. Last night they forgot gravy for the tenders and the fries were stale and cold. Last time they left out my husbands burger, among several others. The kids working are laughing and goofing off and maybe one of them is actually doing their task. I tried to order a Peanut Buster Parfait sub pecans and the lady said that they would have to charge 75 cents extra for each layer. That would be $2.25 more on the already high price. Every time I go to Dairy Queen, the workers are really nice. Even when they have a long line. Their cheeseburgers are really good. But they don't turn the blizzard upside down, and I know why. I just had the most disrespectful experience at this Dairy Queen. They always get orders wrong, etc, and yes it's annoying but that wouldn't cause me to come out here and leave a review. The only reason I continue to come to this one is because it's the one closest to my house. Let's start with the conversation when I got to the window to pay. They were discussing and asking another employee if they were "raw dogging" which I'm sure most you know what means, but again whatever, many of them (not all) are a bunch of disrespectful high school kids working there. I get it, with all labor shortages they have to take what they can get. What really got me is when I placed an order for a blizzard and a sundae and I asked them to put the sundae in a bag (was bringing it home and didn't want it to spill in my car). When I'm at the window and they started to give me the sundae I asked if they could put it in a bag. The girl there is rolling her eyes, again whatever. Very Disappointed. After ordering our Ice cream, We sat and watched FOUR employees come to the window to pet a dog in the car in front of us. Each of them allowed the dog to lick their hands as they pet him/her. We pulled to the window and asked that hands be washed before making our ice cream. First I should add: This DQ was originally in downtown Pickerington. Football games, after school treat, extracurricular functions. The old place was too small however to keep up with the population increase. This town has grown majorly over the past 10-15 years (hello housing developments).Also. accessing the joint was a dilemma. Super small "parking lot". CArs would be lined up to the side of the road ten fold, waiting for their turn. Thus, this brick-and-mortar was built. As time went by, by tastebuds outgrew Blizards.
