First time in this location and everything was fresh and reasonably priced for a combo meal. Service was super friendly.

The last few times we have been there and ordered Blizzards, they were like soup!!! Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Hopefully someone will get trained on how to make them. Either add more ice cream or don't blend them like a milkshake! read more

We had just left a concert in Shelby and were hungry. We arrived at 9:45 to see a fully staffed restaurant. (At least 10 employees.) When we walked in there was one young lady cleaning in the dining room; she went to the register to take our order. It felt like we were getting stared down for coming in 45 minutes before their scheduled closing. So my husband asks if the grill was still open and was told yes. We ordered and went to sit down. We waited 9 minutes on food which was responsible since they were making it fresh at that time of night. The young man who brought out our food didn't say a food to us, just slid our tray on the table and said nothing. Our fries were cold. Seriously. After waiting for hot food, cold fries. Unacceptable. My husband would not let me take them back up. So here I am. It's pretty sad to have that many employees standing around that late and not be able to get hot fries. read more

I ordered a chocolate dipped cone and it sat on the shelf for about 2 minutes after it took 5 minutes to make There is chocolate all over the cone and the employee just rapped it in napkins. Health code violation alert! Poor customer service. I didn't think you could mess up a butterscotch dipped cone. I ordered two medium dipped and a medium blizzard. The cones were barely dipped. Only two of the three fluffs of soft serve were covered (and barely coated at that). I didn't complain, my kids would get embarrassed. We were waiting on the blizzard. During the wait which ended up being 10 minutes we were positioned at the drive-through pick up window within the window. I could see another HOT MEAL order completed and bagged and waiting, I could only assume this was for the next guest, how disappointing they must've felt when their food was cold because they had to wait 10 minutes for our blizzard. Also, during this time I observed two young male employees munching on their own food IN THE KITCHEN which was so juicy, it ran down their mouths, and then they ran through the kitchen, looking for a towel to wipe themselves off. Eating in the kitchen is a major health code violation and the poor service is another example of quality hiring and training processes. I POLITELY said something to the young woman who took our order who just continued to mouth breathe and didn't know what to do. To which I thought the appropriate response was "I apologize. I will let my manager know", at least. Why do we continue to accept poor customer service and quality for our hard earned money???? read more

It's a hit and miss here depending on what day you visit. Sometimes we get great service with very friendly people. Some days the service is slow, lacking, and just downright dreadful. Our last visit was for a free Blizzard from downloading the app. It was easy to redeem and didn't take long at all. We went after the lunch rush so we had our food and sitting down less than five minutes after we arrived. The restaurant was clean and orderly and didn't have any issues while visiting. This is the only DQ in my area so I can't really compare it to others. The new app they have provides coupons/deals so if you're looking to save a little bit of money I would suggest downloading it. read more

As noted there are two listings for this Dairy Queen - the address is wrong on the other one. I sent a message to Yelp to merge the two listings but you know how that goes - basically hasn't happened. Regardless your GPS/Siri/Google Maps will get you there just the same. We like this location a lot. We get our birthday cakes here. Now and then we'll come for one of their lunch deals which includes a drink and a sundae for one low price. It's generally well staffed and your food comes out quickly. read more

They advertise thick, flippable Blizzards, but mine are always milky-runny. I grew up loving Blizzards, but these disappoint every time. I've visited this location from time to time over the years since living in the area beginning in 2012, and they're always inconsistent with food, especially the ice cream they're known for. My wife says the only things they always get right are the gravy and the fries, but my fries here are always cold and limp. read more

I am trying to get to the burger king but see the Dairy Queen first. it's 11am and I go to pull in and there is no one in the parking lot. I drop 've by slow and see everyone is on the otherside. I park and the door on th at side is locked because it leads to the drive thru employee area. I have to walk around the store to get in. nice employees so far. I order then sit. food comes out in a box...inside a to go bag... on a tray. a few too many steps there if you ask me. I pull out the burger and it's to hot to touch. a sure sign that it's been microwaved. which is the best way to turn decent food into crap. I open it up. the poor tomato looks like it's been to war. the lettuce like it's run a marathon. there is an employee nearby so I ask her if they microwave the burgers she says yes and I ask why. explaining that it ruins the burgers. she tells me to tell them next time and they won't do it. like I am returning to a place that cares so little about the taste of their food as to microwave it. read more

Apparently this Dairy Queen has two listings: One of for the ice cream and one for the food. This is my review for both! This is a really, really good Dairy Queen. I end up here often with groups or with my family and I cannot recall a bad experience here. They stay very busy but move customers through the line quickly. It really seems like the folks that own this location really care about it and make sure that it stays very clean and well maintained. They also bring your food and ice cream/ desserts out to your table which is a nice touch. The only thing I find odd about this Dairy Queen is that they do not participate in the "Blizzard flipping" promotions. That's kind of a Dairy Queen staple and I'm not sure why. They even have signs up that state that they won't flip Blizzards. That's be like a Chick-Fil-A that opens on Sundays and refuses to say my pleasure, a McDonald's that doesn't make Big Macs and fries, or a Taco Bell not open late at night. What gives? Anyways, Dairy Queen definitely has been offering some more options lately to give more variety but some of their standard fare is quite good. I would put their chicken strips, french fries, and their gravy up against the offerings of nearly any other restaurant with similar offerings. If you've never had Dairy Queen's french fires and gravy you need to. They are excellent! Another positive is that this location has orange aid available as a drink with free refills! read more

I placed a special order for a birthday cake for vanilla and strawberry ice cream cake for my wife's birthday and with the chocolate chip filling. However, when she cut the cake, it did not have the chocolate filling. My wife called and spoke with Jennifer,shift manager about the problem. Jennifer refused to correct the mistake unless we paid for another cake. In addition, she said that she needed to get approval from her manager and call back the following day. We called back the next day as per their request. I called from a different phone and placed same order with Jennifer that included the cake filling and pick up date. She told my wife that special orders don't come with the filling, but she accommodated my order with the filling.
