Dairy Queen location that is in Shepherdsville Kentucky just off the expressway near the cities conference center and popular attraction kart country. I've only stopped at this location a few times over the years usually for some blizzards. On national chains like this I never rate based on food. Most people know if they like Dairy Queen or not by now. Me personally I love blizzard and the food is just ok. They got a good chili cheese dog but the rest for me is just ok. This location does solid on the service. They usually actually do the dump upside down test on your blizzards so they aren't always melted. They process the line at a decent speed and have gotten my order correctly for large majority of the the time. Overall solid and very well placed location that's perfect for grabbing a cold treat after a fun day in the sun at nearby kart country or if you are just in the Shepherdsville area as that city as of this writing has zero ice cream shops. The hubby and I stopped in for breakfast. A very nice gentleman waited on us with excellent customer service. I was missing my eggs that I ordered and they were quick to get them for me. The meal was delicious as it is every time. The restaurant looked clean for the most part. However, our shoes were sticking to the floor because it wasn't cleaned properly. Since we were there at 9 am, I'm thinking the night before. Once your shoes get sticky, it's all day. Other than the floor, service and food was great! read more

When I'm in a rush and needing to stop and grab something on the go for breakfast, Dairy Queen is usually my quick and easy spot. Conveniently located just off of I-65 on exit 117, you can grab something and hope right back on the interstate. The Shepherdsville location has however let me down on a few occasions. I generally get the twin pack sausage biscuit meal. Comes with a hash brown and I also get a soft drink. On more than one occasion my biscuit has been cold and hard or my hash brown has been cold and limp, falling apart soon as you pick it up. Now when you're trying to eat on the go, having your food go everywhere isn't ideal. I'll give them credit in the fact that I'm more satisfied than disappointed however ending up disappointed more than I should. It's hard to beat a nice fresh sausage and biscuit on your drive into work. When it comes to fast food Dairy Queen will still be my quick breakfast stop. read more

Pretty dirty inside - sticky floors and counters. They forgot to make my flurry so I had to go and ask if I was next. Several people that ordered after me left before we got our ice cream - the girl said "we totally skipped you sorry." The other girl said "it happens." Fiancée 75% done with blizzard by the time I got mine. Several customers behind me had food and ice cream before I got my blizzard - not a great experience but the ice cream itself was the standard DQ quality so that earned a star. One employee did say "sorry for your wait." So plus one star...not awful but not great. read more

I go to this Dairy Queen quite a bit but will never go after last nights experience. Very rude young girl at the drive through who rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a drink tray. After a long drive, my husband and I wanted to enjoy some Dairy Queen! This particular establishment, however, let us down. The trash cans outside were overflowing, the bathrooms were not being kept clean, and the staff members were on their cellphones constantly and when they chose to work they left them in their back pockets. I've been to this dairy queen a few times since moving to Shepherdsville but my visit last night was the last time I will go there. Inside the restaurant was filthy. I wanted a blizzard with my meal but apparently they can't do that anymore. I went there last week and got a blizzard with a combo meal for $2 more. We visited on a Saturday evening around 9:00 pm and upon entering the restaurant decided to get the food "to go". The reason was that there was a faint smell of garbage, or as my wife said, of someone having been sick (spoiled milk?). However, the premises appeared clean, the food was very good (flame broiled burger and blizzard), and the wait staff pleasant and helpful. Often somewhat pokey service during breakfast hours, but stopped a 4:15 for a smoothie. Only 3 cars ahead of us and it took 15 minutes. It did not seem that anyone got a particularly large order, so what's up? Doubtful I'll go back to that one. read more
