One of the best sandwiches I have ever eaten. Definitely will come back and try more of the menu

I don't get to go to McCalisters much. I love the place!! But I have never been treated this way or get my food this way. I order my sandwich the Spicy Turkey Melt with no lettuce extra bacon and toast it a tad bit more. Always got a perfect sandwich until brought it back up since it wasn't toasted at all. They said they would remake it for me. Worker said could you toast it just a tad longer. She yelled through the kitchen you will get it burnt. I said No I don't want a burnt sandwich. Who would want that. They brought it out completely burnt. My husband and table next me saw it. We're were besides ourselves. I said no. This is not edible. Please take it back. Food is always delicious, but sometimes can take a little extra time to be made. Always super easy to order on their app and fairly priced!

They make pretty good sandwiches but the managers leave a lot to be desired. There's one manager who seems to know what she's doing, a young girl in her 20s, the others are clueless. I'll order a takeout sandwich over the phone and they tell me 15 minutes and I get there and there's no one in the restaurant and they haven't even started. The manager working behind the counter just kept on yelling "you're doing a good job" to no one in particular while her employees stood 10 feet away from her on their phones not paying any attention to me or her. The middle of the sandwiches are pretty good but the edges, not so much since they pile all the good stuff in the middle of the pieces of bread. I like to say they make a wonderful four bite sandwich because after those four bites in the middle, you're getting half of the ingredients. I never got to try this place. I decided to go because of a T-Mobile promo (buy a drink, get a free entree) and I was never able to access the offer. I downloaded the app and tried registering (as instructed) and was never able to successfully get in. I tried registering thrice. One time it said I didn't use the right user name and password - another time it told me my phone number was wrong (the error message actually said that!). I tried changing my password several times - no email message, no dice. I finally decided to go in and order something anyway (and pay full price) and they told me their system was down. Guess that's because of the T-Mobile promo and they didn't anticipate higher volumes? Chalk this one up to poor planning. I actually love sandwiches - Jason's Deli, Pickleman's, Jimmy John's, Jersey Mike's, Potbelly, etc. but I'll probably stick to those places. read more

As you can see. I seem to visit here often. Next time probably won't be for awhile. Daughter and I thought it was down hill today. Typically we like it here. I got the McAlister's club 1/2 and 1/2 salad. The sandwich wasn't great and the size of it was just sad. See my pic. Disappointed today. Daughter got the veggie sandwich and a side of tomato, cucumber, onion salad. It should've been called onion salad because that's basically all that was in it. Bad ratio of veggies in it today. We were both dissatisfied today. I usually say when it's good as you can see from my previous reviews, but today it just didn't hold up. read more

I ate at the McAlister's on South 72nd Street and it was SO GOOD!! The order was taken correctly and fulfilled by Isaac. The salad with the chicken was so delicious. Checked out this place for the first time! There is a decently sized menu and the dining area is pretty large. The staff were very kind, helped me choose where to sit after I ordered and brought my food to me while making sure all my questions were answered! I've heard from multiple people that it's a less expensive form of Panera and I think that's probably accurate! I got the Jalapeño Turkey Crunch. The sandwich didn't have a whole lot of flavor, and I was a bit bummed. I asked the staff if they had any ideas on how to make it more flavorful and they recommended their chipotle sauce! It hit the spot and the definitely brought it up a notch. Kind Staff- good food (after I added the sauce) and the place was clean. Definitely give it a shot! read more

Wow! First time here and this might be my new favorite deli; replacing Jimmy John's. My turkey sandwich was very flavorful. That's what I want. And every sandwich comes with a nice side dish. Kinda crunchy bread. China plates and real silverware. A generous portion for the drink. The price to value equation is excellent. And the music wasn't turned up to 11 like it is frequently at Jimmy John's. Also comfortable booths. What's not to love? Will definitely be back! read more

I frequently go to the McAlisters on Center and love it so when this one opened near my office I was happy to check it out. They are likely going through growing pains but they are behind the game. Apparently this franchise has a different owner then the one on Center and that don't follow the same processes. I.e cookie for students :( The facility is beautiful and location is great (For me when at work). Let's see how they are when the staff learns the ropes. read more

Clean restaurant, but that's about it. I got the Angus beef sandwich and it tastes like a very basic sandwich that I could have made myself at home with a fraction of the price. They use your average Sara Lee bread. They put all the meat in the middle of the sandwich, so when they cut it, it looks like there is a good amount of meat, but don't fall for this illusion. The back of the sandwiches had no meat. Just bread and mustard. The sides were mediocre. Nothing special about this place. Definitely don't recommend. read more

Disappointed with both the quality and quantity at McAlister's on 72nd and Dodge today. I am a big fan of McAlister's and have been for years. Today I placed a pickup order for a pick 2 with the McAlister's Club and the Nacho Basket. The club was very good, as per usual. However, I do feel that the $15 price tag I paid was worth more than the handful of chips and small amount of queso I received. In addition, the queso was watery and clumpy, and did not taste very good. I've never had a bad experience with quality at McAlister's, so of course I will give it another try in the future. First time being able to eat inside the restaurant again since covid19. The guy taking our order is handicapped with a job coach being ready to help him if needed. I think it is amazing that McAlister's Deli is giving jobs to anyone with the drive to work and enhance their life. He did a great job taking our order even though we changed our mind several times and finally got our 4 meal orders straight lol. I would have been confused by then... Hahaha. The job coach was very helpful when needed and engaged in conversation with us. The man, Tevin, bringing out food, checked on us several times during our dining experience and when our son spilled his drink, they came right over and cleaned it up. Oh yeah the food... We got food and let me tell you it was amazing!!! My wife and I got the "Southwest Chicken and Avocado Salad" it was well prepared and tasted delicious. All the ingredients tasted fresh, paired with the "Chili Lime Vinegar Dressing" was an explosion of flavors in our mouths. The "Chicken Cesar Wrap" was a winner for our son, along with his side of Mac&Cheese surely filled him up and he liked every bite. No, he did not share his cookie with me, which can only mean that it also was delicious. Our other son had the "Sweet Chipotle Chicken Sandwich". That, too, was mouthwatering and he devoured the whole thing as well as his potato salad. I was able to wrestle a little bit of his cookie from him and the chocolate chip cookie was very soft and chocolate melting inside of it made it a wonderful treat after my salad. The food is very good here but the staff aren't very organized with regards to how customers purchase food. My order took some time to figure out how to implement an e-gift card. After that, the service actually improves and food is quickly delivered to your table without having to post a number on your table. The staff here are phenomenal. Please remember to tip them, they deserve it. Also please remember it's hard for restaurants right now so let's show them they are appreciated. I've seen only 2 people working here and one was cooking and doing the registers at the same time. Busy or not you can always count on consistency here and get what you wanted. I ordered the Smoky Pepper Jack Turkey Sandwich, Potato Salad and a Pickle. There wasn't much bacon on the sandwich but I don't mind, the honey on the sandwich was fantastic. It was fresh and not soggy at all after driving to eat at home. The potato salad was delicious too. I like to add a little fresh cracked pepper to mine but that's just a personal preference. The place looks nice and new and the cashier working, who took our order was a really helpful and friendly young man. I ordered a chicken salad and the mushroom soup. Both were good, the soup wasn't my favorite and didn't taste as fresh as I thought it would. It wasn't old or anything just seemed like they may have been canned type mushrooms as opposed to fresh cut ones. I may be wrong but I don't know. Full disclosure...I am an addict...of the Pecanberry Salad at McAlister's Deli! I cannot get enough of this delicious salad. Mixed spring greens, candied pecans, strawberries, blueberries, grilled chicken with a wonderful raspberry vinaigrette. I love it. I also love their salted caramel cookies, as well as their Heath cookies. And their brewed iced tea is thirst quenching. Their counter service is very friendly, and I've had the opportunity to call and ask a question and talk to a manager and she was very friendly and helpful. I've also had a couple of their soups and I enjoyed them as well. The deli itself is very clean and inviting. I'm a big fan. read more

Came in for lunch and can't say a lot of good about this trip. My husband both had the club. The bread was dried out like it had sit on the counter out of its plastic wrapper. My husband said the croutons were stale tasting on the salad. I had the pick 2 so had the chicken and dumpling soup. The soup was hot and bland in taste. It was the one dumpling and one piece of chicken that really made me wonder what team was on duty today. The A team or the B team. It was very quiet so I know it wasn't the crowd. The food is usually fresh and tasty. A healthier option than a lot of other lunch options nearby. The problem comes when you order delivery. When requesting simple things like butter and sour cream for a potato, you often will not get them. Sometimes they leave items off your order that you paid for. There have been about 3 times that the tea I ordered was not delivered. If my review was for the food alone, I would have given a 4 star. I took one star off for the regular delivery problems. Today, I was charged an extra $0.36 for 4 pats of butter and a small dip size cup with sour cream. I have never been charged extra before, at any other McAlister's restaurant. read more

Two of us ordered our food and instead of a salad they brought me a sandwich. I brought it to the servers attention and she seemed confused. So I showed her what I wanted on my phone from there website. She took the sandwich back and I heard someone saying "oh,a salad" and giggling, lots of giggling. I finally received the salad but with no dressing. The server asked if I wanted dressing. OMG! Finally got the dressing I ordered. My partner ordered a BLT with avocado. He took a bite and discovered there was No avocado on the sandwich. He took it up to counter with the receipt and showed them the sandwich. After he returned to the table, a server brought the same sandwich without avocado and then asked if he wanted a side of avocado. The sandwich had been deconstructed and then put back on a plate. He refused to eat the sandwich. My salad, once they got it right, was pretty good, but not really worth the hassel. We went to another restaurant for my partners meal.
