please never ever go to this place. first of all when you go through the drive thru, you can see their employee drink counter through the window which has multiple vapes sitting on it... the interior is disgusting and smells musty, the employees are high as fuck on drugs you can literaly tell. and not just weed like LITERAL DRUGS. anyways. today i went there and requested a small blizard with extra oreo, when i tell you they stacked so much ice cream on it that it was pretty much a medium/large blizard even. so there was so much ice cream IMMEDIATELY dripping down my hands, on my clothes, on my car, and on the door of my car... when i requested a large cup to dump it into they tried to combat me by saying "well it is 100° outside so expect it to melt"...... so after arguing and arguing they gave us ONE large cup for 3 BLIZARDS that were all the same condition as mine... so when we went in to get a refund the lady at the counter gave us extreme attitude about it before telling me "maybe you shouldnt order ice cream in '115°' weather" like isnt the whole point of ice cream to cool you down??? anyways... to conclude my essay i would like to say that this place is grimy, they have ROACHES RATS PARASITES TERMITES AND GREASE EVERYWHERE, and half of their employees are DRUGGED OUT and RUDE ASF!!!! ty very muxh read more

This is still not the best Dairy Queen ever. The location is a bit outdated, the employees (while efficient) are not usually very pleasant, the parking lot is a bit of a pain, and the interior seating is lacking. Also, for some reason, I have to sign a credit card receipt on a clipboard when paying for a $4 Blizzard with a credit card. HOWEVER, aside from that first time, my ice cream has tasted better. It tastes reliably good on the last couple times I've tried it. Unless you feel like driving over 30 minutes to get to the nearest Dairy Queen, this the best one in the Cedar Falls area. So while it's not-nearly the best Dairy Queen I've ever been to, when compared to the local options, it deserves a much higher rating than I gave it the first time. They actually have chocolate ice cream, so that already put them leagues above the other Dairy Queen in Cedar Falls. (This one is technically in Waterloo, but it's only about 2/3 blocks from the Cedar Falls border) I'd go back again, and this has become my go-to place for ice cream. read more

It seems that they are still training their help and the current kids there need much more hands-on training. We were not given our drinks with our combos and our order was incorrect. The desert was given to us before the meal and had to be eaten or it would have completely melted while waiting the food. The food also took longer than it should have and it seemed the employees didn't want to make our food. Not what I expected from this location, makes me miss the former owner and staff. read more

The service at this Dairy Queen is pretty bipolar. The ice cream is always quality but the three stars is for the customer service. This location now serves the food such as fries and burgers but I've never gotten anything but ice cream. There is no place to sit down and the inside is so tiny I can't imagine how they can adequately make food. On nice days the drive thru is really busy and can extend out onto the frontage road. The service thru the drive thru is pretty slow. I've rarely received stellar customer service at the drive thru. A please, thank you and have a nice day would constitute good service. They have a freezer with ice cream cakes inside. Not too much variety but if you are looking for one they will have something. They will write messages on them with gel for no charge. One time their drive thru was really busy so it went inside. There were several customers in line and three employees working. One employee was working drive thru and the other two were cleaning up a spill in the entry where a customer dropped their drink. So there was no one helping the customers inside the store. It wouldn't have been that bad but no one was greeted when they walked in or told "we will be with you in a moment". I stood there for five minutes before I left with nothing and went to a Dairy Queen in cedar falls instead. read more

Great good and staff. The prices are very good and the food , especially the buster bar is excellent.

The product is good, of course, it's DQ ice cream! But the rest of this location sucks! The manager/owner is not very friendly, and you can tell he is not respectful or nice to his employees therefore they obviously don't enjoy their job, thus, the customer service sucks. AND they are always way under staffed because we end up having to wait a long time just for a blizzard or cone. The one time my husband and I ordered food we both got a six piece chicken basket, we ate it outside and realized we only got 4 pieces, we went in and let them know because we paid the extra money and the manager yelled at the employee for it right in front of us but HE made it and she totally rung it in right. I can only imagine if he treated his employees better and didn't create such a terrible work environment he would have employees that respected him and enjoyed their job enough to provide betted customer service. read more

Super clean DQ. It's nice that it got redone, and that it is in such a convenient location. Employees were always helpful and nice to us, so not sure what's up with other reviews? We've had blizzards and hot food, and both were delicious. Standard DQ, though seating is sparse, but it was enough to accommodate everyone the times we have gone. read more

Very rude manager Don, and rude associate at the drive thru, My friends who were in the car behind me ordered ice cream and I tried to pay for my order as well as their order and manager Don told me I was a problem for trying to do so. That team should be ashamed of themselves. He said he wouldn't do it because it's a problem. Couldn't give me a good reason other than I would be a problem if that were to happen . These weren't even strangers I was paying for, people I knew which I told him I knew them and what car they were in and then he just ignored me and walked away.
