This was one of the longest waits we've ever had for fast food! We ordered 2 combo meals, and there were 4 people, at least, working there and no customers. There was one guy ahead of us, but he was served and drove off. I don't know what the problem was but we were on the way home from Thanksgiving in Dallas and we really needed to get back on the road. This was totally unacceptable. The other concern was the guy who came out to the car to ask what we wanted (again) was wearing a face mask. II hope he's not sick. Although we paid $28+, we decided to leave. I called them and spoke to a Cassandra on the phone. Feeling like a total Karen, I asked her if I could please speak to the manager. She said they were not there. So I asked her to please take down my name and number and told her what we had ordered and had already paid for. I said that I expected a refund to my account since we did not receive anything other than soda. I regret that we wasted so much time and added another half hour to our trip. Hamilton is a pretty little town with a beautiful court house, but the Dairy Queen down the road is a hot mess. read more

Sad display of behavior by a customer - tolerated by embarrassed staff. A middle-aged, most likely local female called out to another employee, asked her to talk to a young teenage employee that was bent over a counter and you could see some of his underwear. With me in the line and other people around this customer proceeded to tell one employee that if she didn't tell him to pull up his pants she was going to call the police... I don't know if the large employee making blizzards was the manager but in front of other employees she told him to pull up his pants, overall a very sad display of leadership and how tacky for that female customer to embarrass a young person that way in front of employees and other customers. We stopped here often, this will be my last time on our weekend trips up 281. There were three other most likely teenage employees, they were all looking at me and I shook my head in disgust. when I left the large female employee was over in a booth talking to the woman that embarrassed the kid, talking about how gross it was... obviously there's nothing else more important in the world. I highly doubt she was a manager, management needs to deal with her and her inappropriate leadership, very sad she embarrassed the kid that way at the counter. I looked at the female customer and shook my head as I walked out. Very sad day to watch an older person treat young people like this. Our local Dairy Queen usually serves a pretty good meal during the week but the last few times I've eaten here on weekends my hamburgers have been cold. When I'm got my bacon cheeseburger today, I opened it up and notice that the cheese and the meat on the burger was cold to the touch. The bun was barely toasted and it was missing the bacon that I ordered on it. I took it back to the young man that waited on me and said I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. He stood there for a few minutes with a lost look in his eyes when he finally said I need to see you ticket. I thought, come on fella, you took my order, you delivered my order over to me and I'm sitting not 8 ft from where your working the register and you want to see my ticket? Not another customer had stepped up and placed an order since I had ordered my meal I stepped back to my table to get the receipt and delivered the receipt and the hamburger back to him. Thinking to myself that maybe I'll get some warm bacon on the sandwich but no. When I bit into the hamburger it was like biting into hamburger that come out of the refrigerator. Between the beef hamburger patty and the bacon a greasy film covered my mouth. Even though I'll just live a few blocks from their store, it maybe a while before I go back. read more

Lack of good customer service, they were rude, throwing are food into bags, treating us like we were less than people. So sorry for just trying to feed myself. I guess I won't be doing that ever again. Edit- once we finally got our food, the fries tasted stale, also like they had been fried in really old oil, which should be being changed regularly. I had ordered the standard chicken strip basket and my chicken tasted off and then my doctor pepper tasted like what a swimming pool smells like... I had some car difficulties while traveling through Hamilton, TX. I had to get a Motel and stay there for the evening. I had passed the Dairy Queen on the way to the motel and decided that I would walk down to grab some dinner. I hadn't eaten all day. When I arrived, Tristan was one of the employees working. He asked me if I had walked to the Dairy Queen, I said yes. He then stated that he was going to buy my ice cream for me since I had walked from the Motel. How sweet is that! Once my food came out, he came up to me and said that he would like to give me a ride back to the Motel so I wouldn't have to walk. Thank you Tristan for making an unfortunate car experience into a wonderful dining experience. Your kindness was genuinely appreciated. If you're ever in Houston, look me up. Stopped on the way to Fort Worth to use restrooms and get some ice cream. Food was great! Service was not. Clerk Chloe never said a thing when she walked up to the register. Just stared at us. My husband ordered a blizzard and I ordered a dipped cone. The only words that she spoke was "chocolate or dreamsicle?" when I ordered my dipped cone. She never smiled, never said Hello, Goodbye, Welcome, What can I get for you? Have a nice day. NOT A THING!!. I hope that she was just having a bad day, nevertheless, it was completely rude and unprofessional. Hopefully this is not the norm for this location. read more

One of the friendliest Dairy Queen's I've been to. They thought the bathrooms were dirty so they ran in there ahead of us to clean it for us prior to use (they really weren't bad to begin with). Regular Dairy Queen food, but this one also had tacos (which my kids liked). read more

Took 25 minutes to go through the drive through. They had to ask what we were waiting on. When we finally got our food, there was no "I'm sorry", no "thank you" no straw, no napkins. Horrified at the lack of service. There were 5 girls inside that we could see. All were just standing around. They all need to be fired, they do not belong in the service industry. I find myself quite often victimized by the "Texas Stop Sign." For those of you born and raised here, you might remember that is what they used to call the DQ logo. I recently happened into the DQ in Hamilton for a nice hunger buster and of course a fudge brownie blizzard. The burger was better than I remembered. I wasn't too impressed with some of the locals pouring out their slurpee on the parking lot concrete; that is going to make a sticky mess.
