Cashiers saw us walking up to the counter and immediately retreated to the back. We could clearly see them on their phones and attempted to get their attention without yelling (the location is inside an arcade and is very loud), but we were ignored. We waited approximately seven minutes before someone finally came to the counter. When they did, the interaction felt rude and gave the impression that they did not want to be there. Customer service is a direct reflection of both the business and its leadership. I understand everyone has difficult days, but guests should still feel acknowledged and welcomed. I hope this was an isolated incident and that future visits provide a better experience. read more

This review is all about the young man who was working Thursday, August 14 at 8pm. He needs a raise. He was there all by himself and was calm and professional the entire time. He took orders and payment, made the orders, and handed out the orders so calmly even though I feel like others would have been so upset and angry. He was so sweet and kind. This Dairy Queen is located inside Excalibur Hotel and conveniently next to Fun Dungeon. They have a small selection of fruit juice, smoothies, blizzards, and light bites. My personal favorite is Very Cherry Chip blizzard, so amazing! Date of visit: April 12, 2024 While there are plenty of other places to catch a sweet treat on The Strip, I had some gift cards for Dairy Queen and technically not paying anything for the Blizzard made me feel better about the $9 price point (hey, it's Vegas). The Blizzard tasted as good as always and the staffer was friendly and relatively efficient, even though the other person working stayed in back on the computer the entire time leaving just one person to help all of the customers. Genius idea to have a Dairy Queen in the arcade @ the Excalibur Hotel. It is a limited menu. No burgers, Tacos, or fried foods. They did have hotdogs some version of a panini sandwich???? As we walked around the casino floor, last thing I expected was to see a giant Orange Julius Cup protruding from from the atrium below! That made it worth the effort to get down below. All around this open mall like Dairy Queen is a prize ticket generating arcade! A DQ is the perfect spot to refresh yourself after playing like a kid or with the kids! To the man below, who went BALLISTIC over the matter concerning Teddy and the couple, who arrived at 9:40pm and was subsequently refused service by Teddy because Teddy said they were CLOSED. So much cheese on my chili dog! This is located on the first floor of the Excalibur hotel. There's also a game room in front of Dairy Queen. It's a great place for kids to play at. There are about 5 tables on the side of Dairy Queen. There's plenty of room to move around. Not too many people here which is great. The lady was handing out free samples of a berry smoothie. It consisted of blackberries, strawberries, blueberries and yogurt. Tasted delicious. Very berry! Very smooth consistency. So shortly after my daughter got her sundae, they called out "Oreo Blizzard" (which my son had ordered) --and it promptly got picked up by the lady who had been standing in line behind us, since I assume she ordered one too. We had to wait another 15 minutes for our Blizzard. Dairy Queen--for goodness' sake, assign people #'s for their order and have your employees check the order #!! Oh, and as nice as the employees were, they were overwhelmed bc they don't know how to make your products. They need more training. read more

I actually came the night of August 14th. They girl working was busting her rear to get all the orders done. There was a very long line since it was a Saturday night and the hotel was sold out because of the first Raiders game open to fans earlier that evening. Anyway, the boy working with her could not get the cones right. She noticed and made my cone correctly. I did not even have to complain. The boy was going to hand me the cone incorrectly. She also tried to show him how to do it. The Orange Julius was down, and that bummed me out. However, that is not the cashier's fault.
