We were craving some dessert after our dinner and found ourselves at this DQ. The staff were so warm and inviting. There was only really one person workings the other came in later while we were there. It's December and I'm sure they aren't as busy as different months. Our ice cream came out just the way we ordered it. They have a "secret menu", posted which is great. They have taken many things that have gone viral and posted for all to see and choose from. They also have the mini cupcake cakes! I have not found them in many DQ spots until here. There is limited seating but, it was the perfect set up for us. Big bonus they have chocolate ice cream! Who doesn't love a nice winter's blizzard? Mint Oreo and Turtle Blizzards are my go-to's. The drive thru at this location is tight and tends to block traffic. They have a sign posted on the window that says this location does not participate in the blizzard flip promotion. I asked for brownies bites to be added which they forgot but the blizzard was still delicious without it. Prices were decent. A little over $9 for two small blizzards. read more

If I could give no stars I would after tonight's visit. It was less than lucky to find the first long hair in my blizzard this evening right after taking off my to go lid, but then to find a completely DIFFERENT HAIR in my blizzard not 1/4 inch away from the first was just pathetic. Is it possible to give a zero star review? Do not go here. In fact, this place needs to be reported to the dept of health. The counters where the workers prepared the ice cream were filthy from previous ice cream making. Ice cream was dripping from the main machine onto the floor. The sink was filled with utensils and equipment. There was a 5 gallon sized tub of cherries on the counter and the workers would just grab a spoon and pour cherries over a sundae. Any extra cherries would fall back into the big vat. Over and over. When leaving we walked around to the back of the building and saw multiple trash bags lined up, not in a trash can or dumpster, just thrown on the floor. The door was propped open and there was no screen or anything to prevent bugs or rodents from walking right in. We witnessed a younger employee making a hot meal and were immediately disgusted by the preparation techniques: no gloves, cross contamination from using the same utensil, and the "prep counter" was filled with scraps of food and debris from previous meals. So is this the best dairy Queen ever? No. But it's passible and for those of us in Royersford it is super convenient. The drive-thru is slow, there is actually a sign that says if you're going to order food after 7 p.m. please go inside. But the service is friendly and the ice cream is decent so I'm okay with it. Usually I just wind up getting my favorite chocolate dipped cone or getting the kids in the wife mini blizzards. for some reason they don't participate in the blizzard upside down or it's free promotion along with other things. If you want to get the wrong order every visit, then look no further. I don't believe they've ever gotten my entire order right at this location. Last night they made my blizzard THREE times and still on the third attempt it was wrong. Nothing like paying $10 for two blizzards and both of them being wrong. I was so happy with my service last night at DQ. Me and my friends wanted to get ice cream late at night and ended up getting there 2 minutes before closing. Even though we were so close to when they closed the still served us with amazing ice cream. I go the new Salted caramel blondie, it was go good. In general I love Dairy Queens. However this location consistently disappoints me. I've been there several times over the past couple of years and have experienced everything from the owner screaming at employees to poorly made blizzards. I gave it another shot tonight and after waiting over 15 minutes in line (there were only 2 overwhelmed employees working), the ice cream had a horrible metallicy after-taste. I threw all three of my family's ice cream out. Never again! I'll go the extra mile and enjoy the Dairy Queen in Trappe. read more

I have always been a big fan of Dairy Queen. I have visited this location several times. They offer ice cream at the drive thru for dogs. I recently ordered a cake online through them. It was ordered a week in advance and even received a confirmation email for my order. When we went to pick up the ordered cake for my son's 15th birthday we were told that it was no longer an option and they were not making it any more. I didn't get an email or a phone call to let me know the order couldn't be placed. This was a big disappointment since we had no cake for my son's party. The young girls at the counter called the manager or owner, whoever it was. They were instructed to give us 25% off a cake from their selection of cakes in the freezer. Big disappointment!! Bad customer service and not a care in the world to ruin a party because of their neglect. We will never give them out support again. read more

The ice cream was disgusting. I ordered a cookie dough blizzard, and it tasted like citrus fruit. It was so bad that I couldn't eat more than a few bites. They didn't even mix the topping all the way through the blizzard. Just some cookie dough on the top. I won't be returning. read more
