Such a cute shop with a calm and happy vibe. Decorated like you are just hanging at someone's house and it gives you a small home town feel. The two baristas working were extremely friendly and very helpful in explaining the various coffee choices. I had the strawberry shortcake iced latte and it was amazing! Also love the waffle shaped hashbrowns! 10/10 recommend. I would rather go here then to the big chain coffee stores. I'll be back :) read more

Was visiting the area during a trip to PA. The coffee was great. The service and speed of receiving food was VERY SLOW. Food items were coming out randomly, people who ordered before me were receiving their food. I ordered a bagel with assuage and egg. I was sitting with no food for over 40 minutes, never got my food and asked for a refund. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt as it was busy on a Sunday but waiting over 40 minutes for a bagel and people who came after you getting food first seems like the kitchen wasn't working the best. read more

I got the filthy chai. Literally tasted like water and a hint of chai spice. Was so so disappointing. The cloud latte was not much better, and probably only slightly less watered down as my gf got a tall instead of the large like me. The egg sandwiches, although a bit pricey in my opinion, we're pretty tasty. The waffle hash brown that came with them was the star of the show. Unfortunately I hit up coffee shops for the beverages though, so we won't be back. read more

I really like the vibe and the menu at brewed awakening. The drinks are super tasty, and they have flavors you don't usually find elsewhere (PEANUT BUTTER!) This is a great place to sip a cup of joe, read the paper, dabble in the internets, or chat with your friends. It's typically not too difficult to grab a parking spot on the street. My only complaint about Brewed Awakening is how long it takes. On my most recent visit, I ordered a flavored latte and it took, I'm not joking, 10-15 minutes to get my drink. There was only one person working behind the counter, and I have sympathy for the current demands in food service. I like their establishment, and I love their drinks, but I wouldn't pick this place if I'm on a time crunch. Stick to black coffee if you're rushing, that's the only guarantee you'll get it quickly. read more

I've been coming here for the last two years and it's my FAVORITE coffee spot. The owner is super nice & down to earth. All the workers are really professional and kind. The atmosphere is so relaxing and good vibes. The coffee is amazing and the food is delicious. I can't say anything bad about this place or the people. First time stopping in here and both my wife and I really enjoyed our praline butterscotch hot latte. There wasn't much in the way of gluten-free items for her to eat, but I got a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel. The breakfast sandwich was good and the bagel was nice and soft, but was surprised to not see a large piece of bacon on there. Instead, there were small bacon bits mixed in with the egg. Cute little place with places to sit and enjoy your coffee. We dined in, so we got real coffee cups, which was nice. Will definitely be back. read more

Visited again after such a stellar experience a while back. Ordered a bagel sandwich and a cappuccino. I was pleasantly surprised by the live music which also happened to hit the spot on a hazy weekend morning while I was waking up pre-caffeination. The bagel sandwich took a bit of time to arrive, though it seemed the staff were aware of their cycle times and perhaps was an off morning. The egg, cheese, bacon sandwich now has the bacon mixed into the egg. I really did not like that...I prefer strips of bacon, but to each their own. Cappuccino was a bit weak and watery and did not enjoy it... the coffee wasn't rich at all and tasted further watered down by dairy. I have to say I love going to this spot. The first thing I noticed when going into the shop is the feeling of a true town go to spot and a very relaxing and cozy feeling. Then I will say the coffee is way better than your dunkins, Starbucks, wawa, etc. The egg sandwiches are huge and well worth every penny, and lastly, I love the entire staff from top to bottom. I've been going to this locally run establishment for a few years now and have sadly witnessed its recent decline, which if continues, will be its inevitable demise. The food and beverages are now poorly prepared and the owner is unavailable to address issues and completely absent on weekends to supervise the very young staff. This is too bad because the atmosphere inside is comfortable and charming. I have returned several times over the last several months to give it another chance, thinking it was just an off day, but it keeps getting worse. Without a major overhaul of the business, Brewed Awakening's days are numbered. So sad. This was such a nice addition to downtown Royorsford. Hopefully someone will take over the location and return it to its original level of quality and service. read more

When I asked about them, there was no apology, no attempt to look busy making it right and other orders continued to come out before ours. The bagels were not toasted and mushy. My husband and I always drove by this place on our way to 422 and never took the time to try it out. And now I am regretting that we didn't come in sooner. What an amazing place. They have such mouth watering desserts on the counter when you first walk in and amazing coffees and drinks. I tried the bus driver coffee with Reese's peanut butter and it was a dessert in a cup. The owner saw we were new and came by to take the time to chat with us. He was such a wonderful person to get to know. He loves kids and was happy to see our little one with us. Great ambience and they have unique offerings. The reason for the lower rating is the following: inconsistency of service (food, drink, and customer service), challenging to get through to them, and long-waits. Today, I waited 45 min for my food and the product was haphazard. My groceries didn't fare so well sitting in the car that long. My son was back from college and I took him here to get lattes and catch up. When our lattes came out they had no foam and tasted like water with some espresso, they were simply undrinkable. I come here often and know what my latte should taste like. We politely waited until the man working was finished with all of his customers and then told him that the lattes were not good and he began arguing with us that he made them correctly. He was very rude and made us seem as though we were burdening him even though he had made horrible lattes. We ended up getting up and leaving without drinking either of the lattes or eating the muffin that he heated without asking if I would like it that way. $15 dollars down the drain and my morning ruined is all I received from this man. read more

I've been driving by this place for quite some time now, but never had the chance to stop in. Finally all my stars aligned and I got to try this local coffee joint. We came here on a Tuesday, so it wasn't too packed. The owner welcomed us in and he's the friendliest guy you'll ever meet. I placed my order for a peppermint mocha latte (it's wintertime so why not) and took a look around the cafe...and it's so cool! There's awesome chalk art ranging from jokes to a map of the world. Lots of seating with a few couches scattered around. I can definitely see myself coming here and getting some work done because THEY HAVE WIFI!! The peppermint mocha was perfect (dare I say, better than Starbucks?). Not to sweet but lots of chocolately peppermint goodness. I'll definitely be coming back to try some other cool lattes. read more

I've been frequenting the Royersford Area one day a week for work. I stopped by today to do work for a few hours and it was an awesome experience! I got a tea in the morning and decided to get lunch as well. I got the Buffalo egg rolls which were great! Very large portion and good price. The WiFi was strong and stayed connected throughout my work, which is greatly appreciated!! Relaxing music and there were others working on their laptops as well. Outlets available to charge up too.
