Every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Service was fabulous! Started with their house-made guacamole & pico de gallo, which were both super fresh and the perfect way to kick things off. I also tried the elote, which was packed with flavor, and the fish taco, which was light, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The King Taco was another standout, and I really loved the queso birria taco; so rich, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a great birria taco. And you can't leave without trying their horchata, which was the perfect refreshing drink to go with all the food. I also had the opportunity to try their Baja fish taco which was another stand out for me! The fish was light, the Baja sauce was so flavorful and delish! What makes this spot even more unique is that their locations are actually inside QuickStop gas station market, which makes it such an unexpected gem. Their first location started near the King of Prussia area, and they now have a few locations in the area; including this one in Collegeville. Just goes to show that sometimes the best food can come from the most unexpected places. If you see El Gordo Bros while you're stopping at QuickStop... trust me, it's worth it.

Situated on a small main ave plot, with adequate parking and a stones throw away from the perkiomen trail, el Gordo bros provides the fuel you need for a quick pick me up, a burst of energy or a drunken stomach screaming for nutrition on a late night. And don't get me wrong, this is more than just your standard hangover preventing college fare; this is quality food at a price that even mass market fast food eateries (chipotle? Taco Bell? Heck even McDonald's) can't compete with. Made with love, curated to make your taste buds do the cha cha, el Gordo bros is on my save save save list!

3/21/21 Extremely…read morepoor experience when the restaurant wasn't even busy. Our server visited twice- once to take our order once to slap our food down. She never checked back at all, my husband needed a straw and had to stand up to get it because our server was nowhere to be found. I ordered the nachos which had barely any cheese. It was mostly coated with pico, barely any beans, and noticing lacking portions. My tacos dorados barely had any chicken. Super disappointed. I hate when businesses pull these stunts and add to that awful service too- in an empty restaurant. The server from what I saw had only my husband and I to wait on in the front dining room. The other thing is that my husband and I took separate cars so I arrived first. I was promptly greeted by the cashier then ignored until my husband came in. The server never even bothered to come to the table when it was just me. The server who ended up waiting on me was more interested in cleaning up a vacant table. I was back in the area and where I'm living now has no decent Mexican food. Major disappointment. Get it together El Limon! This comes from someone with a lot of serving experience and I'm more understanding than most.

You're not quite sure... but there's just something about this charming single room establishment that rings a bell ... Just something. Perhaps it's the colorful ornamentations that catch your eye... Perhaps. But even more to the point is the setup of the room itself - the cozy arrangement of booths and tables - that feels so warm, comfortable, pristine... special. Seldom have I been so taken with a restaurant... and even before being seated. Pleasant, knowledgeable service is another plus. However, it is ultimately the outstanding quality and preparation of authentic Mexican cuisine that truly sets this establishment apart. The menu here is quite extensive - including desserts and kids' meals - with all the usual South of the Border suspects present and accounted for. Your gastronomic journey begins with Sides & Starters and then moves on through such familiar rubrics as Tacos... Salads... Burgers, Tortas, Flautas... Burritos & Quesadillas, and House Plates. Trust me, plenty of choices to keep you happy. However, you would do well be bear in mind that portion sizes here are more than generous, occasionally bordering on the humongous... like the chimichanga, for instance (pictured). Since at the outset you will probably be ingesting a significant amount of complimentary house-made chips & salsa, and also, perhaps, planning to finish up with dessert, discretion may, indeed, be the better part of valor. In other words, skip the starters, saving yourself a few bucks in the process, and head straight for the main course. Trust me on this... Unless you just happen to possess the appetite of a starving yak, you will, undoubtedly, still end up toting home a doggie bag. One additional thought... As I noted above, the quality of the cuisine here is consistently first-rate. But any restaurant, no matter how excellent in scope and highly regarded it may be, is still - in contrast to all its culinary pluses - somehow capable of concocting a dish that is destined to become its singular point of weakness, its "Achilles heel" so to speak. In the case of Los Osorio, this turned out to be one of their highly-touted "House Plates": Grilled Salmon. There was certainly nothing amiss with the accompaniments, as the rather dashing combo of pico de gallo and freshly cut mango added its own unique exotic flavor to the festivities. As did the filet's irresistible orange zest glaze. Unfortunately, the problem was the salmon filet itself. Pale of color and tasteless, it had fallen victim to finny fare's most nefarious saboteur... overcooking. And not just a touch overdone either. No, the dense dry flesh told the story, and it was not a pretty one. A steak knife would have come in handy. Achilles heel notwithstanding, however, Los Osorio still has a great deal to offer and is, in my opinion, definitely worthy of a visit. And should you decide to pay a call, my piece of advice is relatively simple... Stick with the more traditional Mexican fare - tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tamales, fajitas, enchiladas, etc. - and you certainly can't go wrong. But I would also suggest that you leave room for dessert. The sweet endings here are quite diverse and run the gamut from South of the Border favorites - Trés Leches, Churros filled with strawberry, apple, or caramel; Sopapillas served with vanilla ice cream powdered sugar, strawberries and side of caramel or chocolate sauce - to more traditional options such as Cheesecake and Triple Chocolate Cake. My own personal recommendations represent a bit of both worlds... If you enjoy ice cream in all its various forms and permutations, for example, then I would go straight for the luscious Fried Ice Cream (pictured on left). Garnished with chocolate & caramel sauces, whipped cream, and cherry crown, this eminently shareable dessert is guaranteed to satisfy those creamy cravings. On the other hand, if you're a tad more adventurous of palate, the Cheesecake Taco (pictured on right) also has a great deal to offer. Homemade lemon cheesecake is nestled inside a cinnamon & sugar dusted flour tortilla, dotted with strawberries, blueberries, chocolate chips, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and drizzled with chocolate sauce. The result is simply not to be missed. If you enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine, as I mentioned above, Los Osorio is definitely worth a visit... Just don't forget to BYOB.

I have been so committed and come back again and again with high hopes they will redeem themselves but it's like comical at this point. On numerous encounters they have been bothered by taking my order or annoyed when I ask for the sauce and chips. Cause sometimes they serve them and others times they don't?? Which is weird so I asked and they told me no to more sauce ,and I said I would pay for more and they said I can only have one. Also we came in to sit down once, and the lady was like "do you want menus" which was strange cause how are we gonna order lol? Lastly, I have ordered on DoorDash and the meals are NEVER ready. I have waited 1 hour for my meal to be made once. Then today was actually insane. I ordered, it wasn't ready, I told them the order and they only gave me half the items. Then I asked them to make the rest. They did but forgot the chips. So I was like can I have the chips please. And she was like they are in the first bag and I was like no you only gave me the sauce. And she was like no you can't have chips, and I was like what? And she was like we don't have any chips. But she literally just told me she put chips in the FIRST bag! My mind was blown cause I was the only customer in the store so chips were not given to anyone between the time she "placed" them in my first bag. Upon leaving she said to a coworker "ohh now she wants chips!". I just wanted my order:( Once I got home, the burrito was made wrong:( which happens probably 80% of the time I order. Worst part is I keep going back and want to give them business. Like I tip and I want to give them my money, but sadly this might be the last visit. Like idk it's so frustrating, I need to find another location cause it's too much. Good food though when you actually get it/when it's made right.

I got a chicken quesadilla that was so greasy there was oil dripping from it, and it was almost too soggy to pick up. An empanada had only cheese inside of it - no meat, no seasonings, just dough and cheese. When I broke it open, the oil literally poured out of it. It was inedible, along with the "sauce" it came with that had the taste and texture of unsalted, watered-down tomato juice. I was able to eat a quarter of my quesadilla by sopping up the oil with paper towels and browning it in a frying pan. The rest was thrown away. My son had a burrito, and it too dripped oil as he ate it. For the money, I could have made everything better tasting and fed us and my neighbors. Just terrible.
