its so sad, DQ used to be such a family favorite. I realize it's not real "ice cream" but their soft serve was so yummy. Now, I wonder how often things get cleaned "properly" (like the soft serve machine) as I just don't think any of the employees care or maybe not even trained properly. I worked at a DQ in AZ decades ago as a kid and wow, things are different these days! I am writing to express my absolute disgust and outrage over the repulsive experience at your location. The service was pathetic from the start, as we were forced to stand around like idiots for 10 minutes just waiting for someone to bother taking our order. But the wait was nothing compared to the stomach-churning health violation we witnessed next. The employee tasked with making our food was openly scratching and picking at his groin area right in front of us. Without an ounce of shame, hygiene, or common decency, he then used his bare, unwashed hands to start assembling the food. I really want the Dairy Queen to be better, because when I come to visit, a Blizzard is always on my mind. I recently went with my son to grab a quick Blizzard and he had to use the restroom. Note to owner/manger/staff, the bathroom was deplorable. The condition of the bathroom that not only staff and customers use makes me question the cleanliness of the entire establishment. I ordered the chicken tender meal and the tenders was like card board . I will never go back there again .

After having the dining area lights turned off on my friends and I, followed by a threat to call the police on us, I will never go back. This happened a little while back. Three of us came in about 15 minutes before closing, ordered, and got our food 10 minutes later. We were all about 3 bites in when suddenly the dining room lights go out. This DQ has a reputation for kicking customers out the second they're closed so we knew exactly what was happening; instead of letting us know they were closing the person in charge was using passive aggression to force us out. A few minutes pass as we protestingly eat our food in the dark, when out walks a young lady who was apparently the shifter leader or assistant manager, flatly telling us to leave. We make a small protest about the lights being turned out on us to which she responds with, "You need to leave or I'm calling the police." Just an absurd escalation to an already sophomoric treatment of customers. In contrast, the Arby's across town always lets its customers stay in their dining area past closing time. They simply let you know their dining room is closed and they're locking the front doors, but that you're welcome to hang out until you're done with your food. Which is fairly common practice in my experience. Sadly, this DQ knows they're the only location of a popular franchise in the area, and abuse that fact very much. Sad! read more

My family and I went threw the drive thru last night 4/30/18 and ordered some fries and ice cream as we was pulling out of the drive thru we noticed the employee forgot to give us the fries. My girlfriend parked in the parking lot and went inside. When she got up to the counter she said she didn't get her fries and the employee working the drive thru grabbed the basket of fries placed them in a bag and threw the bag across the counter at her then walked away and didnt say anything to her. The order before us they messed up on three of the items. One of which was a strawberry dipped cone that was suppose to be a medium. The customer questiones the soze of the ice cream and the employee said, "We can weigh it if you wan?" Then with ours, one of the blizzards was not blended at all. The young lady who helped me, it was her first day so it took her three tries to get a grape arctic freeze right. Worst DQ ever. This is my home town DQ and it has gone down hill steadily in the past 5 years. Besides the missing menu items, typically standard at most DQ's, the service has gotten horrible. Yesterday went through the drive through at opening, and waited for over 10 minutes before my wife went inside and got the one blizzard we ordered. Went there just for ice cream and was really disappointed. The mint Oreo blizzard I ordered barely had any mint flavoring in it and barely any Oreo either. I've ordered these at several other Dairy Queen's, and they tasted better than this. Not sure if they were in a hurry, or what, but it was definitely sub-par. As expensive as their blizzards are I can definitely say I won't be going back any time soon. At $3.50 for a small I'd like to at least taste the ingredients in what I ordered. We work with Adults with Disabilities and were refused when we took them through the drive through to avoid any potential behaviors in the store. The Manager refused to take multiple orders for the clients. This created several outbursts with upset individuals. We have never been refused multiple orders ( only 3) is that really so difficult? The manager was very condescending and rude. When we got back to our group home we called and asked to speak with the Manager and were hung up on. We will pass this information to all of the people who work with a health care agency. read more

I realize Covid has its challenges but having a local restaurant be beyond rude to its patrons is really not the way to bring in business. Tonight my husband and I thought we would stop by and get a treat. When we arrived we were the forth car on Adams street waiting to get into the parking lot of the local Diary Queen. It felt dangerous for cars to be stopped in on coming traffic. As the cars ahead of us made it through the drive thru we decided to just walk in and avoid the rush but when we tried to enter the building we found it was closed. So we got back into our car and found ourselves stuck in the parking lot because no one was willing to give up their place in line. I saw a young man in line all by himself so I jumped out of our car and asked if he would let us back in line and he agreed. My husband and I decided to offer to pay for his order when we placed our order. I pulled up to order and while I was there I thought I would suggest they put out a sandwich board informing future guest that they were a drive thru only but when I made the suggestion a young man got very snotty and said we have a sign on the door. I responded that the sign on the door does no good for someone parked in the street. He started to get offensive so I made my order and told him I really just wanted to let him know what the young man had done and we wanted to pay $5 towards his order. He thanked me and we pulled up and finally got to the window. When we got there I again stated that it really would be a good idea if they put up a sign stating "drive thru only" At this point a young woman came up and very rudely said we have a sign on the window. the young man handed me our ice cream and the young woman slammed the window shut in our face. I honked our horn and I stated I would like to speak to the manager and she said I am the manager and I said then I would like to know the owners name and she said they are my parents and slammed the window on me face yet again. If zero stars were an option, I would have chosen that. This Dairy Queen just lost a lifetime customer over the cost of peanuts on a sundae. My wife was craving a Blizzard, so we went through the drive-thru and placed our order. My wife ordered a mini Oreo Blizzard and I ordered a small hot fudge sundae with peanuts. The drive-thru attendant read back the order and said "mini mint Oreo", to which I corrected her that it was just plain Oreo. We got to the window, paid and she handed us the bag. As we pulled away my wife noticed her Blizzard was mint Oreo and my sundae did not have the peanuts I had requested. After my wife had said, "It's ok... I like mint", she took a taste and said it was gross. I parked and went inside to get what we had ordered. After waiting a few minutes, a cashier came over and asked how he could help. I explained the situation and he said that he could re-make the blizzard but would have to charge for the peanuts. I then explained again that I had requested them when I initially ordered. The supervisor came over and asked if I had my receipt... it was still in the car. She looked up my order on their system and said I wasn't charged for peanuts and it was the owners policy to charge. I said, "if the owner were here and knew that I had to get out of my car and come in because my order was incorrect, they probably wouldn't charge me". She said that they would charge me. At this point, my blood was starting to boil because the lack of common sense and customer service that was being offered. I resisted the urge to throw my sundae across the counter and said f**k it under my breath as I turned around and left. They had at least corrected the Oreo Blizzard. I can understand the cost of business and the fact that even peanuts cost money. What I can't understand is how the cost of peanuts can outweigh all of the possible future purchases that I would make. It's all good though... Get home and instead i recieve hamburgers that look like they were shredded and with onions the drink for my daughter rootbeer is coke Then tryd to call no answer from this establishment. .sent a couple emails to them still NO reply..huh I recieve a call finally from Victoria the manager who instead of apologizing for the mistake proceeds to ask for the order number on the receipt is 5840 she instantly replys with thats not ours maybe i had the wrong place... Seriously your address is on it i know im not wrong, then i explain to her you made the mistake not me i paid faithfully for what i ordered instead of good customer service i get come in,obviously she didn't hear me im sick,i have NO desire to come in can't you just credit me the $12.29 i saved the food the iceream melted and the soda watered down now,rather than keeping me as a customer and saying sure come in when you feel better,will take care of it,our mistake its NO we dont do that i then in turn said you would rather loose me as a customer. I'm consistently disappointed in the customer service at this establishment. I've been here at least a dozen times to get snacks for my family, but time and time again I'm met with cold and un-inviting employees. I've since refused to visit this location due to the complete lack of friendliness and poor quality of the products. Very much so a disappointment. When I went in with my son there were four people ahead of us and two employees taking orders. literally ten minutes later one of them got to us. Two four piece chicken baskets, a burger and two blizzards. Seems easy enough. She made the Blizzards first. They were half melted before the food finally came up. When it did, it took this cretin a painfully long time to put the order together. There were no other customers at this point. NONE. She must have looked at the ticket 20-30 times. In the end it all just got dumped in a bag anyway. Finally, it was unceremoniously tossed on the counter in front of us with not so much as a, "Sorry it took so long". I didn't say anything at the time to spare my son having to hear his dad explode in public. To top it all off, on the way home the half melted Blizzard spilled all over the car and my phone. Hello, I live in the vicinity of your "restaurant" and oft take my son in the evenings for a treat, well maybe once or twice a month. Tonight when we went in we were kicked out in the middle of our meal at 10:00PM. I understand that is when the store closes but they do not kick you out in restaurants, or even other fast food places. If you truly have the customer in mind, you should put an end to this ridiculous policy. The Manager, Kathy, was extremely rude and confrontational...in front of your entire staff. I can only imagine the negative effects that example will have on customers in the future. I was nice and complied with her request but not before asking about her name and that company policy that says, "You may kick customers out in the middle of their meal." As I was talking to her I noticed her stained and greasy shirt stretched over her obese body, coupled with the rude look on her face and snotty tone of voice I was so disgusted I swore I would never come back. My son enjoys his visits to your store, but tonight it was ruined. We were just trying to have a good time and if this policy and attitude isn't changed I will be glad to spend my hard earned money somewhere where they DESERVE their customers. read more

If I could give them less then 1 star I would.... Went in tonight and ordered an order of onion rings, cheese curds, and a cheeseburger w/o onions to go. Instead a cheeseburger, onion rings, and reg cheese curds for here were entered in. A "manager" assembled my "order" by giving me a cheeseburger marked w/o onions, french fry, and large cheese curds. I informed her that my order was to go with onion rings instead of fries. She placed my cheeseburger w/o onions, and the large cheese curds in a bag and informed a girl (later identified as the owners daughter) that she was waiting on onion rings. The owners daughter removed my burger and the large cheese curds from the bag and replaced it with a reg cheese curds and asked for a cheeseburger. Upon seeing this when I was handed a bag by the previous "manager" I asked if the cheeseburger was w/o onions and I was told probably not since it wasn't rang up that way. The cashier who took my order told them my order was w/o onions. I opened the burger and thumbed through it to find onions. I handed it back to the "manager." She promptly took the burger back to the back and removed the onions, then wrote on it and brought it back up and gave it to me. Having have worked for many fast food places before (including training employees) I knew this was a clear violation of health code. Once food as crossed the counter you cannot give it back to a customer (though many places do this hoping you don't know about the violation). I told this "manager" that she had violated health code and asked for a manger, at which time she told me she was one. I was genuinely shocked since she had made so many prior errors in addition to this one. I told her again that it was a violation and her response was "so...". I asked for another manger and I was told to wait for the owners daughter (who I was told was simply another manger). I informed this "other manger" (owners daughter) that there was a problem and I wanted my money back for the food. She had the same response as the manger "so...". She refused to refund my money stating it was Dairy Queen Corporate (not franchise) policy to not refund money when requested. (I was offering back the food, so I wasn't asking for anything for free). When I told her again that they violated health code she offered to remake my burger but I didn't have faith in their ability to do right by me so I declined and asked for a refund. She refused. I asked for the information for the franchise owners and was denied. I stated I could call corporate and the health board and was told "so...". She then threatened to call the cops (I was not being belligerent by any definition of the word, only firm that I wanted a refund and to return the food due to the situation) while trying to say they had asked me repeatedly to leave and I had refused (this was the first time she had asked me, however agreed to leave). read more
